Are there really 64 million U.S. Roman Catholics?
Are there really more than 64 million U.S. Roman Catholics?

That's what the 2007 Official Catholic Directory, due out this week, will say. But what about the dead, the double-counted and the disgruntled ex-Catholics ‚ÄĒ all of whose names may still plump up parish rolls?

Yes, there are probably "ghosts" in the lists, says demographer Mary Gautier, senior researcher for the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate, in Washington, D.C. The center analyzes data for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. ...

This is where people come when they have no power in their lives and no influence with anyone, so they come here and put other people down...It's their Christian duty to make everyone else feel lousy.

HA I'm the Devil. It must be so...It's been typed! LOL

Baptism, is good, a blessing, a joy and an obedient act for the new believer in Jesus Christ.
To harmonize the Bible, it speaks about hell and condemnation probably more than anything. "NOT ONCE" is a man condemned to hell for not being baptized. Water baptism is symbolic of a person dead in his transgressions who has been baptized unto a new life regeneratedd by the Spirit and with faith in Christ. Cleansing water is symbolic.

The apostle Paul was SENT BY CHRIST to preach the gospel,NOT TO BAPTIZE(although he did on occasion). Adding anything to the gospel makes the cross of Christ void. I Corinthians 1:17

I Peter 3:20,21; Notice the KJV says "by" but the greek preposition is actually "through" the water.
Corresponding to Noah's Ark(a figure of Christ)baptism is a like figure of our old man being dead and being risen by the Spirit of God unto the new man.

A new believer in Christ Jesus, given a "new, good conscience: from the old dead works-being purgedd we may serve the living God! He who has believed and has been purged of sins filth and has a good conscience now towards God-
it is he who may be baptized.

"And He said to him, Truly I say to you, TODAY you shall be with Me in Paradise." Thank-you, Lord!!!

Race Runner,
I am in total agreement with the sentiments you express in this post. There are of course many other avenues Satan is taking to possess the perishing but the act of sexual immorality appears to be his number one weapon to weaken, possess and emasculate the men who would stand up for God. The spirit of Jezebel is running rampant throughout the whole earth and almost all men have been subdued to the v*gina. That's why the media has all these big-breasted, big booty shakin' vixens in the mens' faces to destroy them all. Men in stripclubs, it has been reported to me literally enter hypnotic trances staring under the shakedancer's thong. Add his number #2 weapon, mind-altering substances and you have a powerful package to render all but the elect essentially useless in the end-time battle against the spiritual forces of darkness.

The "Christian" religious institutions are his main agency for launching this massive, unflagging, spiritual assault operating through the warlocks and witches (female pastors) from the pulpit, and he is showing no mercy. With their false, grotesque theologies that comfort them in their smug, factitious "morality."

P.S. I am unfamiliar with the Embassy of Heaven Church, but the name is certaintly an apt description of the church's functi

Dwayne, I wonder if sexual impurity is all of it.

We Christians must pray each day to be pure in heart and spirit, renounce the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life.

1 John 2:15, Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

BTW, are you aware of the Embassy of Heaven Church and its website?

Race Runner,
Yes, of course I am willing to comply with your request, without question for those of the "household of faith."

I unfortunately am unable to point you to a link since I derived this directly from, as I said, Scripture and observation and I believe, the living Word, the Spirit of truth. Alas if you are able to find anything I would be much obliged.

I was referring to this apostolic doctrine: "The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes ONE BODY with her? For, as it is written, "The two will become one flesh." (1 Cor 6:13-17)

And so whatever demonic spirits dwell within the harlot, the sorcerer, the witch are transferred straight away by this unlawful uniting of body and spirit. Since almost the entire world today is engaing in sexually immoral activity (the pervasiveness of Internet porn certainly helped) the human race is being knitted together spiritually to be ready to bow the the powerful fallen angel that will be manifest in the AntiChris

Race Runner,
Then we are in agreement. When exactly the Holy Spirit comes upon you was not really my point, only that "the Holy Spirit, God has given to those who obey him" (Acts 5:32) Provided the obedience is there we not disagree on the when and the wherefore.

As far as our prayers for revival, my belief is that there is not much time left on this planet. Humankind is worst today than they were in the days of Noah and Israel has been restored which had not been the case during the other apocalyptic doomsayings. This is a uniquie historical period we're in and I believe there is no further hope for this world.

I have reasoned from Scripture and experience that the man of sin is to be revealed very soon. All the elements are being put into place...a matriarchalized society, worldwide demonic possession through the binding of the entire human race through sexual union, the dumbing down of an entire generation who can barely read [forget about studying Scripture], mammon-worship, the constant incessant din of television, movies, and video games, internet pornography, pharmaceutical drugs, nuclear threatnings of "preemptive" war, the flooding of our insane asylums, the sodomization of society, the devolution of young humans into ape-like "thugs," or "hos," and especially...

Dwayne, I appreciate what you've said about the importance of baptism, and I agree. Christians must get baptized, it is a requirement, a commandment by God, and anybody who refuses to do it is no Christian.

I disagree with you that God will not give the Holy Spirit unless one is water baptized. There are lots of examples in Acts where the Holy Spirit was given first, before water baptism.

As Jesus said, the Spirit goes where it goes, as the wind.

I do thank God for you and Abigail. It's been a lonely and miserable place at SA for the past several years for me. I pray Sermon Audio will let you continue to post, and I believe God can use these postings to spark a revival, even if a limited one.

I do pray for revival, oh please, God.

'In a spirit' inquires: "It shocks me that nobody reads that vs as baptized in the Holy Spirit."

Probably because instead of making up their own worthless opinion on the matter they decided to logically rely on apostolic tradition: "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, AND you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit...So those who received his word were baptized." (Acts 2:38)

A mighty wind is indeed blowing across this world and it has obviously taken you up in its tempest for "the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience [has bound]...the whole world in the power of the evil one."
(1 John 5:19, Eph. 2:2)

Christian from Switzerland, still another excellent comment!

On Works -- Scofield,"# Jas 2:24
These are two aspects of one truth. Paul speaks of that
which justifies man before God, viz.: faith alone, wholly apart from
works; James of the proof before men, that he who professes to have
justifying faith really has it. Paul speaks of what God sees--faith;
James of what men see--works, as the visible evidence of faith. Paul
draws his illustration from

James from
# Ge 22:1-19
James' key phrase is "ye see"

for men cannot see faith except as manifested through works."

Jesus said ""He that beleiveth and is baptized shall be saved..." (Mark 16:16)

Why should there be any question about baptism? According to Jesus' words baptism is a requirement for salvation.

"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.(Rom 6:4-6)

Dwayne said: "I still remember your description of those "God sees Christ, and not me the unworthy sinner" Christian types, as "snow-covered dung."

Actually, Dwayne, that was Wayne from BC's description of himself.

Snow covered dung? If you say the prayer, you get a coating of snow, and God is deaf, dumb and blind, unable even to smell a stench from then on.

Nobody can ever convince me God wants to keep company with snow covered dung throughout eternity, or that the saints of God should present themselves as such.

Thank you for exposing the works of darkness, the perverted acts of fornication done in the marriage beds of "Christians" all over America.

The marriage bed is undefiled, true -- for copulation, but not anal and oral and God knows what else!

Left Behinder Tim LaHaye had a book for "Christians" called "Act of Marriage" describing how to perform perversions in the marriage bed, and pastors trained in the Alexandrian cemetaries concur and advise "Christian" men accordingly how to treat their wives.

The Illuminati's focused goal is to defile and corrupt everybody, everything, to destroy the whole earth for Satan, who they deem the "Holy Serpent."

Satan has done a bang-up job ruining the church. Watch how quick this post gets deleted.

I like your style 9/11, and definetely feel a spirtual kinship with you. I still remember your description of those "God sees Christ, and not me the unworthy sinner" Christian types, as "snow-covered dung."

Keep up the high ideals of Christ before this "wicked and untoward generation" and a remnant will be converted and saved. Thank you for your consistently excellent work.

Concerning baptism for the remission of sins: "...because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water. Baptism, which corresponds to this, now SAVES you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience," (1 Peter 3:20-22).

Baptism is more than a dead ritual (Catholics, most Baptist, Orthodox) for the repentant, self-abnegating believer, indeed for them, it becomes a "washing of regeneration," (Tit. 3:5) a "cleansing of the heart from an evil conscience" (Heb. 10:22) and the establishment of a covenant with God "for a good conscience." (1 Peter 3:21) Only after our bodies have been washed with that "pure water" are we able to recieve the "baptism of the Spirit." (John 3:5)

I agree with you below.
On Your

"Works don't save us but without works our faith and repentance is not really completed."

I believe that "works" is not essentially, "what we achieve" - But more what we (can) achieve *IN* Christ.

Thus it is not just about a human working to try to serve the purposes of God, but being enabled by grace and the Holy Spirit to serve God.
A kind of before and after scenario.

This is a really heavy issue to put in a few words. But I believe that Salvation is a one time event, but repentance, obedience and sanctification are a life-long process that continues right unto the day we die or are taken up in the rapture. First we get saved, then we get sanctified. I think both eternal security and conditional security don't get it completely right. Works don't save us but without works our faith and repentance is not really completed. I know only one thing, if we lose our salvation when we sin after we have gotten saved I must have lost mine long ago! God be merciful to me a sinner!

Bottom Line
"But if you do believe and aren't baptized, you still go to Hell.
Why? Because salvation is conditional and faith without works is dead"

This is Roman Catholic HERESY and utter nonsense.
To suggest that God relies on a person to require a "mortal action" - or else salvation does not happen.....?????

Is the dreaded heretical dogma from popery of baptism BEING NECESSARY to salvation. I suppose you think that Limbo is true too???

This is NOT Biblical teaching.
This is NOT Christian teaching.

This is a lie!!!

Bottom Line's suggestion is that a believer ie: a person with faith, because he does not get wet goes to hell.

Absurd!!! Believers DON'T go to hell.

Get Real.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

All things come from God for He is our Creator, and all that we have or ever will be is from His loving hand of mercy and grace.

"Not of works lest any man should boast" means that we could never earn or merit salvation. It is not within our own power to deliver ourselves from sin and shame. We have broken His laws, and we are worthy of eternal punishment. By faith in Christ Jesus we receive the wonderful gift of salvation through His atoning blood, by His mercy and grace.

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." (Vs 10)

Once we have received the gift of salvation, we are to have good works, which some seem to erroneously call "salvation by works". We must participate and cooperate with Him in the leading of the Spirit. Without good works none are saved. We cannot continue in our sin and claim His righteousness. Repentance is required, which is turning from sin to righteousness.

"Ye shall know them by their fruits..." (Matt 7:16)
