why ask for a tithe of a people that cant afford to see a doctor or buy eyeglasses, are renters, have junkyard cars that are money pits that if they die on them there is no way to get to their slave jobs?
this is not what the early churches did, we never saw the apostle paul going on vacation whilst others toiled and supported him, we don't ever see him eating steak when the "underlings" eat plain buttered noodles and nothing else, we never see paul wearing suits when the "underlings" wear old stained clothes bought from the salvation army
i love my poverty and think all pastors should be impoverished likewise and use the money to actually help the flock
