One problem is that we are often products of our own culture and unduly influenced. I'll give an example. Certain movies in the 1950's which were condemned for their content are now on TV at 10.30am and children grow up with them. A more recent example is James Bond, a favourite of certain prominent pastors on their blogs, yet the word 'fornicator' adequately sums up Mr Bond.
If a certain godly man of the old paths who decried theatre, reading romances and plays arrived at their church he would be a 'legalist'! Even worse he read theological books!
'In this connection we note his complete deliverance from the legalistic austerities of the Holy Club, which had once cost him his health and almost his sanity. God showed him through reading Henry Scougal‚Äôs The Life of God in the Soul of Man that for all his church-going, saying of prayers, and receiving bread and wine at the Lord‚Äôs Table, he was not a Christian, and could still be damned. ‚ÄúNot till then,‚ÄĚ he confessed, ‚Äúdid I know that I must become a new creature.‚ÄĚ This explains why, when asked why he preached so often on the text: ‚ÄėYe must be born again,‚Äô he replied emphatically: ‚ÄúBecause YE MUST be born again!‚ÄĚ
It is interesting to read what George Whitefield majored on in his preaching, but alas characters cease

I can understand 'will scream' as that is how most of us feel, John. (BTW it wasn't me who posted that).
Why not just go on the Carm.org site and read the above link. Ask God to show you what the Bible teaches. Read the Bible verses slowly-each scripture proof.
Next read what the RCC teaches.
Simple remedy John. But it is God who must open your eyes and give you spiritual understanding or you will be in 'Parrott RCC keyboard warrior mode' for the rest of your days.
Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with ***the mouth*** confession is made unto salvation.
When God is pleased to quicken even the shy person...
Has a fruitcake as much 'spiritual' life as Mr Yurich?
If he was truly a patient of the Great Physician there would be certain vital signs that he was spiritually alive, but alas he only has the evidence of certain missing ingredients that prove Matthew 7: 17.
The spiritually quickened man evidences good fruit-leaving the RCC.
Yet there is still hope for John...
'Other physicians can only cure those who are sick, but Christ cures those who are dead, 'And you has he quickened who were dead' (Eph 2:1).
Christ is a physician for the dead- of everyone whom Christ cures, it may be said, 'He was dead, and is alive again' (Luke 15:32)'
The Christ of GRACE, the Christ of MERCY, the Christ of God’s GREAT Salvation -John's only hope

I think the evasion point is correct as George, er Paul, er Ringo, er I mean John... should be able to locate his posts as he would know what the forum context was.
The word "fudge"=
to fail to deal with (something) in an open and direct way
: to speak or act in a way that is meant to avoid dealing with a problem directly
: to change (something) in order to trick people
To be fair to Mr Fudge, he has posted a lot on Carms if you click on the title beside his name in the link below, but I wish he would tell me how he holds to the BIBLE on Justification by Faith ALONE, and doesn't hold to the RCC doctrine of salvation, BUT...still is a RC in a RCC
Sadly, the church involved removed the poster and replaced it with: 'The poster has now been replaced by another one with the message : 'God loves you!' and a picture of a meerkat and a speech bubble saying: 'Simples'.'
Far better to stick to the Holy Scriptures in the first place

You make some excellent points
One thing I have learned is that when one has professed to be a Christian for some years (as JohnY) and intelligent enough to read and post comments, they should have a basic grasp of Justification By Faith alone.
Surely JohnY would be able to tell us his scriptural understanding of that doctrine? If not, all JohnY needs to do is study what Rome teaches and what the Bible teaches. A regenerate child of God will surely see what Paul and Luther saw. Will then certainly leave the RC institution.
SermonAudio provides excellent teaching, so surely JohnY can seek and find, by God's grace:

You should read of the revision of the Spanish Bible and the amazing interest in that work of the Trinitarian Bible Society in Latin America, where conferences have been packed with supporters. (see under: From the Desk of the General Secretary) A must read for all.
Also for any in the UK-what a blessing to read of the Lord's provision re: sale of Tyndale House (see under 'The Treasury'

The modern age is redefining everything from 'sodomy' to 'the gospel', so no surprise the tattoo is included!

‚ÄėEvangelical believers must recognize the need to evangelize Rc‚Äôs. If they hold to the gospel taught by the RCC, then they are trusting in a false gospel. They will not be justified. The Apostle Paul warns about those who believe in the preaching of a different gospel: "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed." A Roman Catholic will only be saved through the biblical gospel of justification through faith alone.
In our doctrine and in our evangelism, we should declare together with Martin Luther that justification is "the doctrine by which the church stands or falls."
When God created Adam there was no need for 'spectacles' or 'false-teeth' but because of the fall some of us need such!
We normally only use hair dye or a toupee-through vanity issues!
Tattoos even until the 1980's were a sign of rebellion. Marks that distinguished those who had been in prison or the forces and then later the emblems of rebellious skin heads, punks and rockers etc.
What purpose do they have? Do they help distinguish a Christian from the world? Some promote tattoos as a form of Christian witness, but what is the purpose of a Bible text tattooed on my body? Who will or should ever see my torso? What about modesty issues? Isn't it better to commit the word of God to memory instead.
It is unreal how many women in the UK have tattoos-a recent fashion explosion on the back of a certain footballer 'superstar' and a lady 'pop idol'.
I have tattoos before I was converted. Every time I look in the mirror I am reminded of my own rebellion.
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Brother William tells me to leave you to it and stick to the news, but I do have a deep concern for your soul as the gospel is THE 'Good News' taking priority on any Christian site.
Did you ever get round to understanding what the RCC believes re: 'Justification' compared to what Evangelical Protestants believe about Justification By faith 'Alone'? Did you see the anathema against Evangelical Protestants for believing as we do? I am sure you will not find one ministry on SA that holds to your views. Why?
As you find much of RC so unscriptural and have a DIY RC in its place, I am sure once you study Justification on the CARMS site you visit, then you, with God's gracious enlightenment, will have to leave the Romanist system.
Have a look at CARMS on that subject and what Roman Catholicism actually believes on JUSTIFICATION. It is unscriptural and another heresy to add to the ones you already have seen. A man born of God's Spirit will? See:
2 Corinthians 6:17
I trust Bro' William and all who read the news comments will pray that God will yet be pleased to convict you for His own glory.

Ah, the beauty of SermonAudio comments-we are all entitled to an opinion until the moderator saith otherwise and when he does the comment is removed.
I personally think John Y has spent years (not weeks) repeating the same RC ecumenical mantra and needs to be rebuked every time he calls an evangelical Protestant 'Psychotic'! Or promotes RC. Or just leave him alone?
You made reference to a 'gobshite' 6 days back on a news thread about 'Greeting Cards'-though there is nothing about such in the article.
gobshite:Loud-mouthed person who talks a lot, but nothing with any value etc.
It would be offensive in England, but some might think it fits certain RC promoters on here?
Of course you used an opportunity to help Christopher see what another poster meant and .
The problem is that a Rc, an ecumenist, a conspiracy lover, arminians, Calvinists, Fundies and a whole host of others are going to comment. And you are right, we need to disagree in the right manner, but where!

Just curious what your problem is with Johnuk, though I agree with your comments on Johnusa.
Maybe you misunderstand Johnuk and owe an explanation or apology as he clearly holds to Spurgeon's view and has always made such clear over the years that he holds to the doctrines of sovereign grace. Unless you have spotted something that I have missed? Thanks.
Below seems to clarify where he stands:
'I refer you to ALL OF GRACE by Mr Spurgeon. Or even a sermon by Mr Spurgeon on ALL OF GRACE from Ephesians 2:8 which may help sort out your problems.'
