Barry from KY wrote:
I just know when you go negative you rarely have a positive effect on people.
We need to go negative (dealing with man's total depravity) before the gospel can have a positive effect on people!

I am sure if AIG simply used a billboard:
'The fool hath said in his heart: There is no God' then few Christians would have said anything about the scripture condemning the fools negativity! The fool would have plenty to say!

When you see what AIG intentions are: responding to the atheist billboards and there is only limited text to do so. And read Ken Ham's intention to get folk to think about 'intolerance' of Christian things, to then get onto the website, to be challenged by the truth, then I see such as a very positive intention remembering that 'Salvation is of the LORD'. Who can say that some will not be prompted to go on the AIG website seeking to post negative things like they do on Ken's facebook page, and then be challenged by real Bible answers for the first time in their lives?

It is harsh for others (not Barry) to read his intentions and say he should be ashamed, when his whole life and ministry is to win others to Christ, and there does seem to be method in his alleged madness

Dec 22, 2012 ... Times Square billboard declares “Keep the MERRY!” while portraying Christ’s crucifixion with the words “Dump the MYTH.”

It seems AIG used the limited space on the TS message billboard to respond to atheist adverts with several of their own, since 2012.

10.11.13 But then there have been some Christians who have claimed that the campaign wouldn’t work—others who stated the message was negative. There were the atheists, of course, who said the campaign was a waste of time. But actually the campaign has already greatly exceeded our expectation—and it’s just started! Our website traffic is up significantly (30 percent). In fact, that was ***the goal***—to have the billboards be a marketing piece that would prompt people to ***visit our website, where they will get answers to skeptical questions, watch a video clip of mine, and hear the gospel clearly***

Ham said 2014 on his Facebook page. “The board’s message is meant to confront and challenge people about threats to America’s freedom of religion and freedom of speech — and publicly and ***unashamedly*** stand for the gospel message that the Cross (shown on the board) represents.”

Once we understand Brother Ham's purpose, then I am sure we get a much clearer picture and why should he be ashamed?

What is sad, is spending valuable time posting on virtually every single thread with the proud self mantle of some perceived spiritual expert. We need to think before we 'post' and not say anything that we could not say before our Church Pastor and Elders and other Church members. If we are confused, run your post through with your Pastor and see if he thinks it is to be posted in the right spirit?

"Ham did little to reach the lost with his message, **shame on him**"

Maybe we should find out what his purpose is, first? The four points on his website articulate why? Methinks many unconverted folk will see it and consider probably for the first time that Ham is correct about 'intolerance' and even find their way onto the AIG website, which could prove to be God's blessing, for is it not full Bible wisdom and truth?

AIG could have used Genesis 1: 1 and only the simple text. OR they could be out to get some to think first, (the same scripture is referenced). Why be so critical?

1.To reinforce the fact that many of those who oppose the Christian message in our culture claim to pursue tolerance, but they are some of the most intolerant people around. God’s people need to understand this.

2.There is no neutral position—one is either for Christ or against Christ.

AIG website..

1.To reinforce the fact that many of those who oppose the Christian message in our culture claim to pursue tolerance, but they are some of the most intolerant people around. God’s people need to understand this.

2.There is no neutral position—one is either for Christ or against Christ. Removing Christian symbols flies in the face of freedom of religion and freedom of speech.

3.Only in Christ we can have true freedom—the freedom each person so desperately needs to be freed from slavery to sin.

4.As crosses have been removed from many public places, we want the Cross and what it represents to be seen by millions in the culture—as a reminder of the true message of Jesus Christ
