Al Sharpton has called for nationalization of the police force.......
The church in America has treated these items as societal not as gospel related. You cannot reform a society nor a government when it is not led by the Lord. It took how many years after King Josiah for God to finally bring judgment on Judah? 11 years maybe, max. Governments job is to enact and enforce law, the Churches job is to proclaim the Gospel, that God has visited His creation and proclaimed He is God and His prescription for salvation.
Obviously this is not what is going on if you would like to be pragmatic
Whitefield considered the greatest evangelist after the apostolic age for he preached almost exclusively "you must be born again" spoke against popery; probably because of their anathema of "you are saved by grace through faith".
I was reading some of the comments and I remember seeing a comment on another feed regarding Dr Graham in very disparaging ways. I am sure it is based on his and his dad's doctrinal views although "daddy's brat" was in their as well.
Look I appreciate him standing in the public spot light and saying what he is saying. He is setting himself up for direct fire but he is willing to risk his life and livelihood on the line. I appreciate what he is saying and doing and I think more people would do well to consider his warnings. I mean what do we think a developing persecution is supposed to look like? Are we not referring to history to understand our times? Are we so put to sleep by our perceived comfort in this country that we are ignoring the warnings and continuing to fight over points of doctrine? Should we just call him and Dr. MacArthur dispensational so we can shrug off the coming danger and take appropriate measures? Are you and I taking the same risks as these men or hiding in doctrinal forums deluding ourselves that we are doing the Lord's work? Are we calling out from the roof tops; being a fork in the road or just a sign post? I am horribly convicted about my silence everyday and not standing up and loudly proclaiming what Scripture says about these things.
