This RC doctrine more than any other makes me so angry. To imply that Christ's sacrifice was anything other than perfect, and that He did not accomplish His intent to save us from the wrath of God, is downright blasphemy.God cannot lie and He promised that through Christ we are saved from sin and death and from the wrath to come. Not only that but Christ's perfect righteousness He puts on His people like robe that covers all of their sins. To say that some sin will still be punished is utter blasphemy and impies that Christ's righteousness that is imputed to us, is not perfect righteousness. Hebrews 10:17-19
(KJV) 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. |
