Dwayne, I wonder if sexual impurity is all of it. We Christians must pray each day to be pure in heart and spirit, renounce the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life. 1 John 2:15, Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. BTW, are you aware of the Embassy of Heaven Church and its website? |

Dwayne, I appreciate what you've said about the importance of baptism, and I agree. Christians must get baptized, it is a requirement, a commandment by God, and anybody who refuses to do it is no Christian.I disagree with you that God will not give the Holy Spirit unless one is water baptized. There are lots of examples in Acts where the Holy Spirit was given first, before water baptism. As Jesus said, the Spirit goes where it goes, as the wind. I do thank God for you and Abigail. It's been a lonely and miserable place at SA for the past several years for me. I pray Sermon Audio will let you continue to post, and I believe God can use these postings to spark a revival, even if a limited one. I do pray for revival, oh please, God. |

Dwayne, I'm with you up to where you say submit to the state. The Bible says to rescue the innocent led to the slaughter, and as Christians I believe we are to resist evil, as the Bible says, to be salt and light. It's one thing to turn your own cheek to someone who is hurting you, but when they are hurting others, those weak and helpless, to stand by and allow it is not Christian.Had the Good Samaritan gotten to the victim of the robbers a little sooner when he was being beaten and robbed, would he have stood there and watched, hid in the bushes until the robbers were finished, and then come out to help? But I'm mostly with you and glad to see you and Abigail posting on SA, truly an answer to prayer! (I have two more things I'm not with you on besides this one thing, and down the road maybe we'll get on to that. But you are putting up a whole lot of very truthful postings, and I don't want to slow you down.) Alex Jones opposes the illegals because he says the govt is using them to foment civil war, that Mexican thugs are being led by CIA to fly their flag, "take back" America; is reason for all the shocking preferential treatment given illegals (ie Social Security, bank loans, don't need driver's license, let go even for the most violent crimes, etc). |
