I think Paul answered Penned's question by telling us to live a quiet life, to pray for those in authority, because this is God's will for us, and God wants all men to be saved. Check it out: I Thessalonians 4:11: and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you,
Check out the document that I found here at SA at the Pilgrim Covenant Church in Wisconsin, Ralph Ovadal, preacher, that detailed the cooperation between the Catholic Church and Obama that enabled him to get elected.
He said they would get their social programs (to fund their "Catholic Charities" agency) if they backed down from disputing his approval of abortion.
In a previous election, the Catholic Democrat Candidate John Kerry faced a lot of opposition with Catholics (though not voiced by the hierarchy) and lost. A coworker showed me the leaflets, pro-life and anti-Kerry, that were handed out after their mass by other members (not the priests, of course).
Nevertheless, we must remember the numbers: 37 million voted in the Democrat primaries in 2008, and only 21 million in the Republican primaries. In most large cities, Democrats easily outnumber Republicans. Nearly 90 percent of all blacks are registered Democrats. Most Jewish-Americans are registered Democrats, and some form what is being called the "donor class."
Subtitle to headline: but it doesn't matter since Hillary 'deserves her spot' and more importantly, most evangelicals will choose to not vote, so Democrats will rule.
Doesn't anyone remember that in a previous primary election, Hillary lost to OBama, but still got more votes than the top Republican candidates combined?
Fact is that there are many more Democrats in the USA than Republicans.
ANd in the end, your vote counts for no more than the drunk down the street who happens to wake up on Election DAy and is promised a bottle for a vote for the Democrat candidate. Or than the vote of the dead people who are still on the voting rolls.
Has anyone besides me noticed that in the TV news coverage of this event, the 2 white individuals shot are pictured, but not the shooter? Maybe it's because he is black, and they can't handle a story of blacks committing crimes against whites. How often have you seen any stories on this? The lies about Trayon Martin continue as well. Few reports mention his suspension from a Miami-area high school because of possession of burglary tools and objects that had been reported stolen from a home near the school. The school system, to preserve their 'clean' record of not having criminals in their school, just gave him a suspension from school and did not turn him over to the police. If he had been charged and prosecuted he would have been sent to jail and still be alive today (though embarked on a career as petty thief, graduating to drug-dealer, etc).
So this will be all part of a display with other religions? There may be problems with the large Muslim population of London if they find their 'historic texts' of the Ko-ho-ho-ho-ran are put in some other position in the display than the first and best. If you want to upset them, just take their 'holy book' and put in on the floor, or sit on it!
Commenting on this is like shooting fish into a barrel! Doesn't everyone realize the structure of the Catholic Church is an ideal setup for 'men who prefer men' and 'women who prefer women'? You have exclusive, male-only fraternities of priests and monks, and then female-only nuns. Wouldn't that be great for those who don't want to mix it up?
Maybe the headline should say, "Coming soon to a neighborhood near you (in the USA)" because of the unrestricted illegal immigration and the govt-funded resettlement programs that benefit large social agencies like the Lutheran World Services. If I were the editor of a major metropolitan newspaper, I would assign reporters to delve into this subject. I know I checked the budget of LWS and found a large portion comes from US Govt funding for 'refugee resettlement.' Now we have Muslim Somalis returning to Iraq and Syria to fight for ISIS; these same people were resettled in Minnesota by LWS. Anyone connecting the dots?
Well, the source is a Christian website. Show me another story from a mainline site that says this is causing scientists to have deep doubts about their evolutionary theory. I've even read evolution applied to economic theory---that we do things that are not logical because our 'lizard brain' is working. I doubt they are going to throw all that out because of this research. Another example is the migration of the Monarch butterfly--from USA and Canada to one small forest in Mexico. I don't see non-believers who study this suddenly say, "Great is the work of your hands, O God" or anything similar.
Well, it looks like not all evangelicals like Trump! They can not vote (most evangelicals don't vote) and let the DEmocrat Party win. That would be more of the same Obama program. Say good bye to Israel---soon to be vaporized by Iran's newly made nuclear weapons, mounted on their ballistic missiles the the U.S. military says are very capable.
While they are at it, why not abolish the whole football program? Everyone knows that college football has taken the place of religion in the lives of many people in the South, and the idea that it helps poor, disadvantaged kids get an education is a joke. The athletes don't have time to study, and are given special tutors to help them pass their courses.
the news reports i saw did not say they were u.s. marines; but as to their motto, 'semper fi' it comes from the same place that 'e pluribus unum' and 'novo ordo seclorum' that appear on the u.s. dollar bills. they also were injured in doing this. i'm sure clark howard, ex-travel agent, would advise his podcast listeners to do this when they go on vacation abroad.
1. evangelicals may support him for his stand against illegal immigration. his plan to end 'birth right citizenship' may be the key part that they like. the Dominican Republic recently faced a lot of opposition from Haitians when they changed their policy on this issue and kicked out hundreds if not thousands. think of it--these are 2 relatively poor countries that share an island smaller than cuba in the caribbean. so people may look around and say, why can't we do that in this country? if i were the editor of a major metropolitan newspaper, i would assign some reporters to look into this issue--and one item i would want to see covered is how the work-permit rules are being enforced. it seems to me that i see a lot of immigrants doing low-wage jobs--in landscaping, hotels, etc. and i wonder--did the US State Dept give all these people visas to work in this country? aren't there a lot of unemployed natives that could do these jobs? (but then, you have to ask if they are too satisfied getting govt programs, including the mis-named "Earned Income Credit" to actually take a low-wage job)
I think they want the US govt to call off the war on drugs. Thanks to TV shows like Breaking Bad, it is already glamorized, and people are buying vacant houses, properties to grow 'the evil weed' indoors. But a great experiment is going on in many states that have legalized 'the evil weed' and I want to know what the results have been: more car accidents? property insurance rates gone up? more accidents at home and at work? I guess we will know the REal Truth when the Denver Broncos take the field in the upcoming NFL season.
Sorry, UK-John, I've never heard of JM but I liked Bernie Mac who had a comedy show years ago, now being repeated on one of those 'vintage TV' channels. As to Osteen's worth, I watch him more as a motivational speaker than a preacher.
Maybe more people will hear of him in this song than would listen to his preaching on religious TV channels. I think Paul said in one of his letters, "...I became all things to all men that I may save one..."
Mr. Graham better be careful--Obama might send him some lightning in the form of IRS audits of his "Samaritan's Purse" organization, to find some way to deny their 501(c)3 status. Boy, that would really hurt him where it counts--in the purse! The IRS has already 'shown their teeth' when they slowed down the review of conservative organizations' applications for 501(c)3 status. Worse yet, no one 'paid the price' by having to resign for that misdeed. If it had happened in Nixon's Administration, the press would have been all over it.
