As I pointed out before the idea some of you have that the elect children of God must have the perfect education otherwise they shall not be saved is absolutely ridiculous.God is sovereign over the lives of the elect and for some of them the life God provides for them is poverty and NO education. The poor are still part of those elected by God. The ideology posted below that the future generation must have the perfect education - and thus ONLY by mum and dad - is quite simply unrealistic. The Christian is sent into a fallen world with unsaved reprobates in the majority all around us including in the education system. BUT THAT DOES NOT DEFEAT THE PURPOSE OF GOD. And the elect "qualifications" do not include an education because the elect are elected by God before the foundation of the world. (Eph 1:4,5) When any child enters into the public school system and that child is elect of God, then the assumption by some of you that this will somehow hinder his/her life and the purpose of God is ludicrous and suggests that YOU don't really trust God. God's elect are personally looked after by God Himself by grace - NOT by mum and dad's education plans. |

Marty mcd wrote: Homeschooling isn't always rich people. That's asinine. And "chosen frozen" theology isn't Scriptural. The elect are supposed to obey the commandments of the Lord, including commandments on child discipleship and company (e.g. Psalms 1:1 & Proverbs 13:20) Oh dear. That means that God's elect are only rich middle class educated people!!!Asinine??? No there are many Christians who do not possess the wherewithal whether the education or the economic ability to educate their kids privately. God did not provide this to everyone. Surely it would be asinine to assume so? God is a God for all classes of society and all abilities - AND NONE. Thank God. |

"some people have been warning for years about the "corrosive environment" of public schools"And don't forget that public schools can defeat God's purpose and the elect who attend said schools will never get saved. Will they? If these perfect Christians want their definitely "elect" kids out of the public schools, do they also want to remove them from the rest of the world too? Jesus states; John 17:15 "I pray *NOT* that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil." |
