Jim, like a papist, submits to no text in particular. His tradition is his authority. We would search in vain to find scripture to justify the civil minister proving health care.

Oh Jim, how much longer will we bear with you?

Why do you post quotes by perverts (i.e. Filipovic)? Her argument is terrible. It's the fallacy of relative privation. And, God had no reason to tell mankind to do anything about "natural abortions" because, aside from taking good care of their own bodies (i.e. stewardship), people in 1400 B.C. couldn't exactly stop the natural loss of fertilized eggs. But, Christians did save babies from exposure in the ancient Roman world, and the mid-wives did disobey Pharaoh.

This isn't rocket science. God gave the civil minister one big job... stop the evildoer (e.g. the killing of innocent people). He didn't ever tell the civil minister to create environments wherein life would "grow better."

In fighting abortion, Christians are attempting to stop the shedding of innocent blood. They are attempting to retard the guilt of a nation and prevent God's judgment upon all of us (something which has already started, per Romans 1). Give thanks, because his full wrath hasn't been poured upon us all. Humans oppressing humans is a big deal for God, especially the killing of innocent, helpless people. That doesn't prevent Christians from working in various areas to make pregnancy safer for women and their children.

According to any Biblical or even American man-made system of law, until Moore admits these allegations (or until we get at least two witness per incident (or something else concrete)), we are precluded from admitting him innocent or guilty.

His opponent has publicly (on his website) supported state-funded child killing, destruction of the freedom of conscience/religion, state-wide stealing and covetousness.

While our country kills millions of kids and destroys the definitions of human sexuality, Jim blathers about reconstruction. What a joke.

Sometimes my jaw drops when I read some of those comments. We've got tens of millions (that's millions with an M) dead children in this land; the government uses our money to support organizations that do the killing. We steal from the poor and give to the rich bankers. We fight endless, unjust and expensive wars. We destroy the family; the black community has an illegitimacy rate of over 50%. Our laws are unjust. Our debt is beyond catching at this point. And, the state and big corporations are using gay and trans whatever to attack religious freedoms and the freedom of conscience. All the while, you guys nitpick about some obscure beliefs that Ted and his dad might have, but will never actually be realized even if he does take office. Honestly, wake up and smell the coffee, Rome has been burning for a very long time. What could he possibly do to make the situation worse?

Don't forget Cruz's Dominionist beliefs as well Jim. He is obviously not going to disagree with his fathers ideology and others who are donors to the Cruz cause. This weird religious ideology in the Whitehouse could have detrimental effects. Is it a "moral" campaign to try to hide the facts?

Marty, I'm surprised you find the parents so helpless. they still has a major effect on a child even if it goes to public school. also you are condemning all public schools being atheist. They are not. there can be some pretty stupid homeschoolers out there as well. they should let the public school system educate their children.
1. I don't condemn all public school use. However (in the USA), there should be a long term goal to get kids out of the Humanist schools (e.g. career change with better hours). Not one school is atheist, but they are all agnostic and humanistic. They deny the first and greatest commandment. If a teacher is openly sharing the gospel, he or she will get fired soon enough.

2. People don't need to homeschool. They can use tutors, co-ops, private schools or some combination of all of these choices.

3. Churches can start schools, especially for children in need. Or, churches (sometimes many churches together) can start scholarship funds. Poor people shouldn't be forced to hand their kids to Humanist schools.

4. I doubt you'd be such an advocate for tax funded Islamic or Catholic schools. I guess you think hell for Humanists will be less hot than hell for Sacramentalists, Mohammedans, Hindus, etc.

Jessica, vigilantism is wrong. I'm not sure if Christians were bombing gay bars, but if they did, that was certainly wrong (even from an old testament perspective).

The passage below agrees with your statement, in part; Christ did die for these types of sins too. He saved people from the second death. Again, my comments are only about the duties of civil ministers to punish evil. The rubber really hits the road when murderers or child rapists are allowed to run free under no penalty of law.

"9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous[b] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,[c] 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. "

s c, it is a pity that Christians and well-meaning secularists are taking more note of the Romish agenda, e.g., ]]Catholic Church and politics in the United States or even more dangerous than the liberal agenda, that of reactionary Catholics, which was pointed out more than a century ago, by Pastor Dabney, ]]The Perils of Popery or an article on the assassination of Lincoln, ]]Lincoln's prophetic warning.
One should remember Boehner's support of a queer candidate in California, the agenda of even the right-wing Catholics is not Christian.
But the world is in God's hands and some Christians and others are aggressively trying to take it out of his hands.
This country has had at least a veneer of Christianity through the years, but that has never made it Christian.

I would like to see the death penalty brought back. But at least this president is heading in the right direction. Maybe he sees the wrath of God in HIV and is acting accordingly.
Humanists seem to think putting someone in a box for fifty plus years (i.e. until they die) is better than them dying immediately. So basically, we'll torment you and then you die later, instead of dying now without the torment....

Very kind indeed
