Some people think that immigrants to the USA will be like the Vietnamese who came in after the V. War and do well, run businesses, introduce new restaurants, food items, etc to US culture (have you seen sriracha sauce at your local fast food restaurant).
But they neglect the impact of the Muslim religion in the Middle Eastern peoples. Can they point to an similar immigration of them to another country where they changed their religion (which results in a penalty of death, if they lived in a Muslim country like Saudi Arabia or Pakistan)?
The example of Lebanon should come to mind; what was a pluralistic culture went downhill when the Muslim percentage increased and they took over forcibly (even Reagan couldn't stop their bombing of the Marine barracks there, with over 400 Americans dead).
Another example is Great Britain, where Muslims are changing the 'native' culture to their own, allowing honor killings, etc.
I have read of similar examples in Deerborn, Michigan. I would bet the Saudis could easily bankroll a resettlement program for these Middle Eastern Muslims in a depressed city like Detroit, where so many houses are empty that the city cannot provide services there.
So, the Vietnamese could resettle because their religion was not a problem. Not the same with Muslims.

I did read the article; answer is NO, neither more religious nor more political, as compared to kids going to private religious schools, but yes, compared to kids going to Catholic or private schools.
What is most determinant factor is the religious involvement of the parents. Sounds like something the good ol' book tells us: 'raise up a child in the way he should go.." and that is not directed to a village, or a society, or a nation, but to parents.
Too bad the churches haven't gotten this message. They seem to think Sunday Schoools and Vacation Bible Schools will do the job. Or, to look at it in a more kindly light, they freely offer these resources and the parents gladly accept them, eventually giving up their own role in teaching their own kids (I'm too tired for all that, let the church handle it).
Maybe a better solution would be to make these resources more dependent on the parent's involvement.

Is this the first time that BG has said this?
It sure sounds like something he has been saying ever since William Randolph Hearst gave him a boost in his career many decades ago.

Good to see the Pope say something that many people have already wondered, knowing what the Mayor is like. Right!
Now, we he apply the same rules to people like Raul Castro, Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, a trio of bloodthirsty criminals who have driven Cuba into the ground over the past 55 years?
Oh, I forgot, he just spoke with the first 2 of them and said nothing of the sort. Oh, by the way, he said nothing negative about any of them. I guess he wanted to make sure he was going to be allowed to leave the country intact.

So, who is this guy Moore? I have never heard of him--has anyone besides his mother and father? Sounds like this is a ploy to get his own name in the public eye. Sorry-it's not working!
Notice the source of the article: Christianpost, not exactly a popular website.

Article says 62.4 percent of US population either holding a job or actively seeking one.
In what world would you put those two groups together? One group is of those who hold jobs. Another group is of those who do not have jobs. Of those, you can make another group: those actively seeking jobs, and those NOT actively seeking jobs.
What about children? What part of the US population do they make? And what about seniors who do not work at all--not Walmart greeters, grocery store baggers, etc.
