Marty wrote: Not all old earth creationists deny original sin or argue for common descent. YECs care a lot about animals dying, but OECs care not about this Agree; but nor do they care about logical and theological consistency. Which is not surprising considering their flawed their hybrid epistemology. |

Elise wrote: And the Lord smell a sweet savour, and the Lord said in His heart ,I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living as I have done. While the earth remainth, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. The Lord's Word is good enough for me, is it good enough for you? Unwarranted assertion. Global warming does not require the end of daytime/nightime, seasons, seedtime and harvest or even the end of having cold as well as heat. Thus the Bible does not prove "global warming" to be a hoax, but thanks for trying. You have duplicated the moronic argumentation of Inhofe hook, line and sinker. Your false eisegesis of Scripture is not good enough for me, no! Why should I join in such sinful behaviour? |

Mike wrote: The best connection is 1) The Bible say that we shouldn't lie. 2) "Man-made global warming will destroy the planet" is a lie. Or dumb if one prefers. #2 is not a lie, it is an unproveable statement. As a hypothesis it however remains valid until the null hypothesis is proven. It is just as unproveable as the claim that you can prove it to be a hoax. The data set is simply too small to statistically prove anything from it one way or the other. However, the assertion that man cannot change the climate has no biblical basis or rationality. The Bible shows that sin has its consequences. If every nuclear weapon that has been formed was unleashed there is a very high probability of at least some discernible climatic impact. Shall we test this hypothesis? |
