Ruth wrote: You addressed homosexuality and women but were silent on slavery. God's Word addresses that too, Yes? Do you think it sin for a woman to interact in this context then?
I would have thought it was obvious that the poster below was making a specific anti-Biblical point in his/her post. Their reason to vilify the Bible whilst promoting man's abominable lust.
As to slavery? The Bible version is clearly different to man's sinful application of it in history. But then that is what man usually does anyway, adding sin to all he does.
Your "woman to interact in this context" - What context? What is your point?
KeG wrote: Homosexuality is not a sin. Slavery--now THAT's a sin. Repressing the gifts of women and denying the call of God on their lives to ordained ministry --those are sins. Bible is unreliable guide on this matter.
GOD says (homosexuality) Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."
GOD says (Women) 1Tim 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression."
The Bible is GOD's holy Word. GOD wrote the Bible.
