Hi Dorcas,

I do want to take this occasion to thank you once again for your prayers! Ralph is feeling somewhat better despite his chronic health problems. Truly the mercies of the Lord are new every morning. (Lam. 3:22-23) I thought the readers at this forum would find the website I cited in my comment below of particular interest. The commentary is straight-forward and there is a wealth of information that accurately documents the ongoing Roman Catholic Scandals. She really has done her homework and is very adept at connecting the dots and in so doing, exposing the workers of darkness (Eph. 5:11) and the "spiritual wickedness in high places" (Eph. 6:12) so much in view in the unholy RC "church"! By way of a caveat . . I don't agree with many of the positions espoused by the writer, but the site has merit in that it exposes the RC "church" for the "MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH" (Rev. 17:5) that she is!
Indeed it is tragic that so many are deceived. There but by the grace of God go I!
June, a RC by tradition, made a Christian by God's grace (Eph. 2:8-10; 1 Cor. 15:10)

*Article: Vatican Bank closes thousand accounts/criminal transactions BURNT to leave no trail of crimes further/future investigations...drowned by loud Francis-maniacs at St. Peter’s Square

Excerpts:
“Pope Francis and his Vatican Titanic Deceits Empire of PR media stunts army are doing a “feel-good” Hollywood strategy by making non-stop political photo-ops of Pope Francis with children and the sick so that robotic Catholic Francis-maniacs will continue to flock to St. Peter’s Square and chant, “Francesco, humble Francesco”…….and therefore, those over a thousand lay accounts holders won’t be noticed as they slip in and out circumspectly of the Vatican to close their personal accounts at the Vatican IOR Bank!
So where are those frenetic closed accounts transferred to exactly? What other banks are ready to welcome countless billions of dollars that belong to exclusive privileged Popes’ friends for decades?
Answer: Quick fast and easiest transfer all done in a secret code of numbers! Switzerland, the secret Vatican Swiss Banks tucked away safely in the Alps, managed by former Swiss Guard Army elite, the one and only twin brother country of the Vatican!"

Yes, thanks for that, June. I don't know enough to comment on it. But in the Providence of God I found myself witnessing to a lady last week who, when I asked her if she was from a local church, replied, "I'm a born again Catholic."
When I asked her what effect that had on her life, she replied, "I felt led by God to go to my priest to make confession."
There's still hope for this lady John. My conversion experience came when I was 42. It was at a time when I was in between jobs. A Baptist woman gave me a Bible which I began reading with compelling interest. Mind you I had never read the Bible in prior days. For not only was I a Roman Catholic by tradition, I was of a worldly spirit. Later I would come to learn that it was the Spirit that compelled me to read God's Word. Much of the Bible was obscure to me in those days. But I persisted in reading it. Indeed I could not put the Good Book down. Ralph will attest to that. It was the Holy Spirit that brought me under conviction of my sins, whereupon I (a lapsed Catholic)felt a need to confess my sins to a priest. It was years later that the Holy Spirit led me out of that cult & taught me that Christ is our Great High Priest & He alone is our confessor! Praise God!

Interesting what you say about the RCC imploding, you must have some insider info I've not heard about.
Your husband is fortunate to have a goodwife to support him. Give him regards from his brother John UK.
John, I don't have any "inside info", but when one considers the divisions that are so rife within Catholicism and the infighting amongst those who identify as "conservative / traditional Catholics" as opposed to those who identify as "liberal/progressive Catholics" at the present time it is reasonably safe to conclude their days are numbered. As Christ said . . "a house divided cannot stand". From studying this matter out and observing the comments made by Catholics from both sides of the aisle, it is my humble but informed opinion that they are in self-destruct mode. Their numerous PR initiatives to restore confidence in the formerly faithful who have opted out of the unholy RC "church", the latest of which came in the form of installing a new pope, no doubt with a view to re-inventing themselves, have fallen on deaf ears. The so-called "child protection" measures they have put in place have failed to address the root problems and this is not lost on informed RC's!

Hello June...haven't seen you post for awhile,so when I saw your comment today, thought I'd take the opportunity to say hello and to give a hearty Amen to your post concerning Rome.
What a time to live!
Praying for you...and your husbands health.
Dorcas . . I honestly believe the times in which we live are as momentous as those of the Reformation.
I thank you for your concern . . your prayers are greatly appreciated. Though it is somewhat of a rough path we are treading just now, it is nothing compared to the plight of our Christian brothers and sisters in central Africa, as I am sure you are aware. I cannot begin to imagine the trauma they are going through and the fears which undoubtedly have gripped their souls. Theres is truly a desperate situation and one which requires divine intervention. Psalm 91 is a word in season for these dear souls and for all who are tried and afflicted. Pastor Michael Pickett has recently expounded *verse 14 from this beautiful psalm in one of his more recent sermons, by which we have been greatly encouraged and comforted this Lord's Day!
Ps. 91:14:
"Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name."

Good to see you posting again June. I trust Sherlock is okay?
Hey John, it is good to see you are still contending for the faith once delivered unto the saints and though I have not posted at SA in more recent days, I have been commenting for sometime now on various forums online on articles relating to the ongoing global Roman Catholic clergy abuse scandal. Recently though other priorities have emerged and so I have withdrawn from these discussions as well. Unarguably the RC institution is imploding from within right before our eyes in real time. The cracks in her foundation are becoming deeper and wider and her complete destruction appears very close at hand. God is not mocked!
On a more personal note, Ralph is laboring under a number of health problems just now and more of my time and energy is of necessity being directed toward his care. Notwithstanding, we have found that His mercies are new every morning and daily we prove his grace to be sufficient for us.
Hope all is well with you John!

A 'MUST READ' for those following this discussion:
The Media Myth and Global Cult of Nelson Mandela / by Shaun Willcock
Link: http://www.biblebasedministries.co.uk/2013/07/05/the-media-myth-and-global-cult-of-nelson-mandela/

Excerpt:
“The ugly truth about the world’s favourite terrorist-turned-politician, Nelson Mandela, has been buried deep beneath the media-created myth of the man, who for decades has been given such a whitewashing by the liberal/Socialist media that the real Mandela disappeared from the world’s eyes, and in his place appeared a messiah, a saviour, a demigod, whose only resemblance to the real Mandela was the outer shell. The man who emerged from prison and became president of South Africa was at heart the same man who had gone into prison so many years before, a Communist revolutionary, much older but just as committed to the ideology and the revolution as he had been when the prison gates slammed shut on him.”

Me neither ... and Peter was no pope! I agree with you on both points. In speaking with Roman Catholic apologists at various forums in which I participate I always make it a point to affirm that Roman Catholicism is not Christ's Church!

In the context of my prior comment . .
my prayer was directed to the poor benighted souls who are in bondage to Rome and who through ignorance of the Scriptures, blindly submit to papal rule . . simply because they were brought up in the Roman Catholic tradition to do so!

They have a zeal for God but not according to knowledge. (Rom. 10:1-3)

Inasmuch as the Lord has graciously delivered me from the antichrist system, it is not unreasonable to suppose that He has others for whom Christ died that He will call out as well.

"Salvation is of the LORD" (Jonah 2:9) and "with God all things are possible".

The pope is a master at double-speak! He is a blind leader of the blind and those that follow him will end up in the ditch along with him.
- Matt. 15:14 Sadly many are deceived by this wolf in sheep's clothing.
- Matt. 7:15

"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works"
- II Cor. 11:13-15

Amongst the great numbers of benighted souls who are deceived by this false shepherd, may it please the Lord to lead some forth by the right way and through grace be brought to a saving knowledge of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ.

"Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." - Rev. 18:4

Memo to Roman Catholics:
The pope's remarks signal a flat rejection of the conclusions of numerous Roman Catholic experts who have identified the root cause of RC Clergy Abuse as “homosexual predation of Catholic youth”. Roman Catholics cannot afford to sit complacently in their pews while those who seek to normalize that which God calls an abomination advance their agenda. Clearly homosexuals have found a new advocate for their cause in the pope. In recent weeks, the pope sent a clear message that he sees no problem with homosexual priests and/or bishops, which Roman Catholic experts conclude represents anywhere from 40-60% of the priesthood. Their ongoing presence along with the pope's non-judgmental remarks regarding homosexuality will serve to embolden those who are of the same proclivity to more actively participate in church ministries leaving your children even more vulnerable to those who would steal their innocence & corrupt their morals. Roman Catholics who are genuinely interested in the well-being & welfare of their children, as well as providing a safe & wholesome environment that both instills & mirrors the traditional family values they hold & cherish cannot remain in the RC “church”!
"Come out of her, my people that ye be not partakers of her sins." Rev. 18:4

Dorcas . . re: your comment:
“ The Lord led me to Pastor Pickett a few weeks ago through SermonAudio."
*********
This is an answer to heartfelt prayer!
You can rest assured that you will be greatly blessed by his Spirit-filled preaching/teaching ministry! Through letters we have exchanged with him in recent years,we have found him to be most personable, as well as a compassionate & caring shepherd of the flock. We now regard him as our pastor and he in turn regards us as members of his congregation. We have found true Christian fellowship through his ministry, and as such we support him both prayerfully & through our offerings.
In that we do not drive anymore and have health issues which limit our mobility, we must worship in our home as did the early church. We count it a privilege to sit under his faithful ministry knowing we are in the company of those who are of like precious faith who worship the Lord in spirit and in truth! (Jo 6:63)
We have found in Pastor Pickett a fulfillment of the words of Jeremiah:
"I will give you pastors according to mine own heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding." (Jer. 3:15)
There is much I could say to commend his preaching to you but that he preaches CHRIST in all his fulness speaks volumes!

Dorcas, I am very familiar with Richard Bennett and am a frequent visitor to his site! As opportunity presents itself at other forums, I have directed readers there as well. I have also shared some of his articles with family members who are "devoutly Catholic" only to have them returned. I am familiar with Ralph Ovadal's website as well.
My husband Ralph and I sit under the ministry of Pastor Michael Pickett, a most faithful and gifted Instructor in Christ! The Lord placed him in our path some years back & we continue to be blessed by his preaching/teaching ministry thru SermonAudio. He speaks out of the good treasure of his heart and Ralph and I have found his preaching to be instructive, edifying, encouraging, and comforting in our walk with the Lord. He does not employ levity in his preaching, but rather rightly proclaims the Word of God with great reverence and solemnity.
He is a faithful servant of the Lord who takes most seriously the charge God has given him to watch over the souls which He has entrusted to him.
We esteem him very highly in love for his work's sake!

Dorcas . . You have spoken the truth in love. ". . what concord hath Christ with belial?" (II Cor. 6:15-17)
The papacy is the very seat of antichrist & the RC "church" is the Whore spoken of in Revelation 17. While they purport to be guardians of the Truth, they are in truth, purveyors of lies! Sadly many both in RC and in other denominations who have false ecumenical ties with them are deceived. There but by the grace of God go you and I!
Peter Doeswyck, Ex-Jesuit Priest,(D.D.Patrologist, Medievalist, Church Historian) exposes the diabolical deception that forms the foundation for the false "church" of Rome which can be read in it's entirety here: Romanism-Build Upon Forgeries! / By Peter J. Doeswyck / Source/ Website: Mission to Catholics / MTC.org
A brief excerpt:
Quote:
“The entire structure of the Roman Church is built on forgeries, spurious epistles, spurious sermons, spurious miracles, spurious relics, spurious councils, and spurious papal bulls. The Catholic Encyclopedia admits the existence of thousands of forgeries and divides the works of nearly every Father into (1) genuine, (2) dubious, and (3) spurious. Roman inventions as Peter’s martyrdom at Rome (2nd cent.), Assumption of Mary (6th cent (end quote)
SATAN is the father of lies!

Jim, I was pretty certain you knew about the Isidorian Decretals and the Donation of Constantine, but most Roman Catholics do not . . anyway . . I didn't until recently. I have known for sometime now (20+ years) that the RC "church" is not doctrinally sound but I did not know of these forgeries used to legitimize the "papacy". I came across this rare admission by the RCC regarding their assertion of supremacy over Christ's church and the supposed transmission of Peter's authority / “apostolic succession”, a claim they have consistently put forward and based upon an erroneous interpretation of Matt. 16:16-18 aka “Petrine text” . . to wit:
From the Vatican website (http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_councils/chrstuni/angl-comm-docs/rc_pc_chrstuni_doc_1981_authority-church-ii_en.html):

(start quote) "6. The New Testament contains no explicit record of a transmission of Peter’s leadership; nor is the transmission of apostolic authority in general very clear. Furthermore, the Petrine texts were subjected to differing interpretations as early as the time of the Church Fathers. " (end quote)
*******
Such is the diabolical spirit of Roman Catholicism. Deception is their very stock and trade.

Sincere RC's will have a hard time reconciling the current pope's remarks with those of their former pontiff! Speaking “ex-cathedra”, Pope Boniface VIII declared: 1) "We, moreover, proclaim, declare and pronounce that it is altogether necessary to salvation for every human being to be subject to the Roman Pontiff." But GOD's WORD declares: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:13) Note: the prior verses, v. 11, 12, reveal that name to be Jesus Christ There is no plainer text in Scripture that puts the Doctrine of Christ in such concise language. Moreover, God's Word as it is found in II John, verse 9-10 warns believers not to receive those who “abide not in the doctrine of Christ”! The censure of Christ falls upon those who “add to and take away from the Word of God . . the Scriptures” (Rev. 22:18-19) That is precisely what Rome has done in proclaiming “obedience to the Pope” as necessary for Salvation. Nothing could be further from the TRUTH! The GOOD NEWS of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is that . . “He is able to save to the uttermost all those that come unto God by Him.” (Heb. 7:25)

Jim, Catholics are wrongly taught of their church to look to her “pope”, her “magesterium”, her “priests” and her “sacraments” . . to the merits of Mary . . the saints and their supposed good works for salvation. And thus through their traditions they have made the Word of God of none effect. (Mark 7:13) This is a denial of the fulness that is to be found in Jesus Christ alone and the perfect work Christ wrought out for the salvation of His people, which Christ Himself declared to be “finished.” (John 19:30) It denies the sufficiency, efficacy and virtue of the saving work of the Lord Jesus Christ as He is presented in the Gospel, and as such, is God-insulting and Christ-dishonouring. This is not the “truth as it is in Jesus”!
Catholics are told what to believe but those who are taught of the Spirit are expressly commanded to “look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.” (Heb. 12:2) It is by God-given faith we are enabled to do so. Praise God I now possess such faith! Praise God . . I have Christ . . the “one thing needful.” (Luke 10:42) that “pearl of great price”. (Matt. 13:46)
“For there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

Though many of us have recognized after careful study of the Scriptures that the papacy answers to the description we find in II Thess. 2:3-4 as the "man of sin", the remarks by the RC pope, in which he both espouses and promotes anti-Christian doctrine peculiarly marks him out as such! This should be a wake up call to so-called Protestants that have aligned themselves with Rome in a false ecumenism. Hopefully his remarks will spark a mass exodus out of the false church of Rome and lead to the conversion of many Roman Catholics through a personal saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I speak as a former Roman Catholic and one who through God's grace has been brought to know the Lord and to trust implicitly in the person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of my soul. Having been “born again” (John 3:3-8) by the Spirit of the Living God I am now in truth a Christian . . and a disciple of Jesus Christ.
It is by the grace of God, "I am what I am" (1 Cor. 15:9) . . a Christian . . a "new creature in Christ." (II Cor. 5:17)
