Thanks TMC!  . I will change my moniker to I Love Jesus! I borrowed an old family Bible. So I didn't borrow it from a Christian. Thanks for all of the recommendations! |

I thought about what you said, TMC, and since I have not had any rest. How can I know Jesus? I understand what you said before, but how do I receive the gift of salvation? It feels as if my eyes have been opened after being shut for a very long time! I borrowed a Bible and began to read through it yesterday. I couldn't put it down even though it turned midnight. I realized I had been terribly wrong about what Christianity stands for! You see, my dad is an alcoholic. He said he was a Christian, yet he beat my mother on multiple occassions as I was growing up, and treated me poorly as well. Often he sited books of the Bible such as Leviticus to excuse his behavior. My mother divorced him, and now hates men. She is now a lesbian because of her hatred of men. Honestly, I didn't neccessarily think my mother's choice was good, but she's my mother, and she was the only regularity I had growing up. I thought you were all like my dad, but I was wrong. I have seen love and compassion from you, even when I posted some nasties. I want to become a Christian now that I've seen the reality. Thank you TMC. |
