May I use this "forum" to share with some Christian brothers here the sin I am struggling with? I am struggling with bisexuality. I've had this struggle since I was a small boy. I've prayed many times to God that He would give me a hatred for this sin. I know it is sin. I struggle from time to time with binge drinking as well. Can I still be saved and fall into these sins? I don't have any "affairs" with anyone. I use porn as my outlet. Has anyone out there had experience with any of these sins and if so, what was the remedy? Thanks much.

What's it all coming to? Today is the National Day of Prayer. Hardly any churches had a prayer service. Sermon Audio had 2 or 3 churches on it. I thought that S.A. would be "flooded" with live church services. What a great way to evangelize! What is happening? The world is "spiritually dead". The churches , what about the churches!!!!!
I am baffled that most churches didn't "seize the occasion" by not having church services. What will the end be??

I think this sort of "hazing entertainment" is not right at all. I can see if the guys are alone with each other in the locker room, but other than that, to show their penis's to the public is wrong. That's my opinion, anyway.

I don't know which is worse, the sinful bashing of each other that is done with some in these rooms or whether we be a full-fledged homosexual. I am not at all for the homosexual lifestyle. It is gross sin { Romans 1 } etc. etc. I personally have left these rooms awhile ago. These rooms could be so instructing and edifying to the believer. I'm baffled that "sermon audio" allows such sinful, ungodly behaviour in these rooms. It's a shame that the same few or so monopolize these rooms. I hope that the "powers that be" will take care of such a beautiful tool in our hands that could be really used rightly.

Lyn,

Thanks for answering. Your question on " how did I come to salvation " is what's troubling me. I don't think I am saved. I don't say that lightly because I know there is a hell to come for all unsaved people. I need prayer. I need the Lord to please have mercy on me. I am confused about many things, Religion, in general, is at times puzzling. Thanks again, Lyn.

I am personally struggling with lust and sexual sin. I am desperate for help. I know it is my own fault. No one else is to blame, just me! I thought I was born again, but because of falling into sexual sin and alcoholism, I feel I am not born again. Is there a brother in the Lord who could give me some true, Biblical advice. I am a firm believer that we are to "bear oneanother's burdens". I'll be waiting and looking.

Thanks from a "desperate man".

I don't even think this should be a question. I'm a recovering alcoholic and know that whenever anyone drinks alcohol, it is for the effect [ no matter what people say ]. Christians should stay far away from alcohol, as far as possible. Who knows that if they continue drinking, they could very well become addicted. Who's to tell that they won't. Alcohol is a drug. On and on the proof goes that a Christian should NEVER touch alcohol!

Hi Jessica, Thanks for your input! This is a subject that I know I get in hot water with it. I still remember the days when girls, boys, men and women dressed much more modestly than today. Not all of them did, that's for sure! Having seen the difference between then and now, it's hard for people to understand where I'm coming from if they themselves didn't experience that era. I personally believe that a true believer should want to dress modestly, male or female, it should make no difference. I brought up the example of a Mennonite woman. I think you can tell these folk are "Church people" right from the getgo! What's wrong with that? I think we can learn alot about modesty from these folk! I'm talking about outward appearance as I don't know what these folk really believe.

K.T.Thread, you have a point regarding men and immodest apparell. Just go to the beaches and men are wearing hardly anything. Skin tight and whatever they can get away with. This is also just as bad, no question about it! You have brought up some interesting points, no doubt about it.

K.T.Thread, You have mentioned some extreme examples. There is nothing new under the sun. Are you familiar with the Mennonites and how both the women and men dress? That is how many in our local school looked! In our church as well! When you look at a Mennonite woman, for example, how she is dressed, etc., the first thing one will say in all probability is "that woman looks like a religious person" or something of that nature. That's great when a person can say that without even knowing the person. Just her outward appearance can give it away. I realize that hypocrites wear skirts, dresses, slacks, you name it, I'm just talking about "good old fashioned modest apparrel. I don't think that a true Christian should have a problem with what the Bible says on this matter, I really don't!!

Unfortunately, most of what I said here earlier was not understood or purposely misconstrued. I know that clothing in and of itself will not make a nation go downhill, etc. It's everything put together. I look at the dress code when I was a boy, teenager, in school and public high school. I look now at how many dress and can't believe my eyes. I'm not talking about mini skirts and the like. That came later. I'm talking about "good old fashioned" dresses and skirts that were quite long! Very modest. We should read and reread, prayerfully, what the Bible has to say on modest apparrel and not go by our own desires, opinions, and ideas. I do mean this in Christian love, I really do!!!!!!

I remember when most, if not all, women wore dresses. When women and girls started wearing slacks, pants, jeans, etc. in the early 60's, it seemed that from that era and on, things in general went down hill. I long for the days when women dressed differently than men. Women looked like women and men looked like men. Let's be fair. Why didn't men start wearing dresses and skirts? Same thing! Just the other way around. I can see why younger women will disagree with me. They weren't around then to see the difference. I only speak from experience. I've seen couples both wearing jeans and the same shirt. It looked like 2 men together. I still love what I read in the Bible re: modest apparrel, long hair on women, etc. Call me "old fashioned, ignorant, male chauvanist, etc. You had to have lived back then and you certainly would understand where I'm coming from!
