“ Critical 4th of July Message ” Highly instructive and very timely 4th of July message from Dr. Raymond. Exposes problems with foundational tenets of our nation concerning liberty and the basis of our law. Many of the problems with our nation today can be traced directly to intellectual errors introduced and made palatable by men we hold in high esteem -- Locke, Paine, Jefferson -- making them extremely difficult to remove. These errors and lies must be extricated by the Scalpel of God's word if we intend to be blessed by God as a nation. This message does just that.
“ Great Sermon! ” Thank you for bringing us this information. I had heard about this last summer at a CCM festival before I listened to your teachings on CCM. Initially it sounded good, but after hearing this message and knowing that the Pope is now on board it's beginning to make more and more sense.
From what I've seen in doing some research on the history of CCM, CCM and "Christian Rock" as a whole was a product of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the late 60s. I am surprised to see Francis Chan in that lineup, as I listened to many of his messages for the first couple of years after being born again and he never struck me as the ecumenical type. In fact,one of his messages from about 10 years ago titled "Lukewarm and Loving It" was the hardest rebuke of a church that I had ever heard up to that point. He actually said that he was worried many in his congregation would wind up in hell! He speaks at a lot of places so I'd like to think that if he had known the pope was endorsing this he wouldn't have agreed. Time will tell I guess. In listening to your early STBC teachings on Rome I don't remember reading or hearing about early Christians praying for the Roman nation as a whole. Keep up the good fight guys!
To blame these shootings on a medication is to claim God does not have power to restrain behavior that is brought about from these drugs. The side effects are clearly stated on the papers with these Psychotropics and list mood swings, depression and such as a potential. But God can restrain and does restrain those that take them.
