I would define it just as you did.
"Repent from your sins FOR salvation" would mean turning from sin.

Yes God said to repent! We both agree on that. But where in the bible does it say you must repent of your sins to have eternal life? You might be on the opposite side of God if you are adding a condition to salvation that he didn't add.

Pastor Steven Anderson is wrong on some issues. He is rude and insensitive and harsh sometimes. I disagree with him on the Holocaust. I disagree with some of what he says about homosexuals. But... I believe there are a lot of Christians that appreciate him. I am one of them. Four reasons why I like Pastor Anderson.
1. He preaches from the KJV.
2. He preaches hard against sin(there is your repent from sin teaching)
3. He preaches "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ(faith alone!)
4. He preaches that repent from your sins FOR salvation is heresy.

To my mind (as Connor has already mentioned) faith and repentance go together, and if you have the one you have the other. God will not work faith in you, without causing you to hate sin, and see God's wrath on sin at the Cross.

Yes John UK I agree with you. Steven Anderson is an odd fellow and I have seen plenty of his videos that I disagree with him. I agree with him on his teaching of doctrine. I think there is confusion on the teaching of repentance. It must be defined in context and it is not defined as turning from sin. So I think repentance debates get fuzzy. Steven Anderson gets repentance right.

Hey Connor 7. Every video I've seen shows He is opposed to "Repent of your sins" as part of salvation. I won't debate all your points so as to spare other readers but you are wrong on this point. Do you think that one has to repent of their sins in order to be saved? If you do then we will just have to disagree. Thanks

Have a Samsung Epic. Love the app! But Sometimes stops video or audio after a few minutes. Also sometimes cannot stop playing a sermon because audio player controls lock up and I have to power down. Any suggestions please.
