I think that is messed up with what happened with the lady in Florida. Many people will disagree with you if you tell them that most of the ministers on TV are only out for money. Money is a tool, but the Bible does teach on the love of money, which is evil. I hope that lady doesn't hate people or the church for what happened to her. I am African-American and I know that these evangelists are quite popular within our community. Personally, I don't agree with their doctrine. I think that they all need to repent and to study the Scriptures more closely. I am a college student that wants to be a medical doctor, but I don't buy the prosperity junk. I think that I want to do what the Lord wants of me and I do believe in blessings, but I think that they can come in many ways, from who you marry, where you work, to God helping you grow spiritually from day to day. All of these movements that are occuring in the church are similar to when the church was being rooted in the missionary travels of Paul. I am not bitter towards them(the televangelists) but I think that they, particularly Benny Hinn, abuse spiritual gifts, and may not have really been blessed by God. It is not up to us to answer, but it is up to us to study the Scriptures, like the Bereans. |

I really don't like the fact that everyone to bowing to Muslims, who claim that they want peace, but the motives that they are using say other wise, as in beating someone who speaks up against the things that go on with that religion. I do not hate anyone, which will not be the love of Jesus. Pagan worship is getting the victory in these dark times. Every believer needs to be seeking the Lord by reading His word, prayer, fellowship, and pure faith. Interesting that Mr. Hranek also mention those true Christians that speak up against things like homosexuals, TBN preachers, abortion, Rick Warren, etc. They are often ostracized for their facts. I have also been ostracized for not supporting these same issues by non-Christians and some who claim to be. I do see that Satan is alive and well in this so-called "Christian" nation. Satan is the master deceiver and is out to seek, kill, and destroy. Things will get worse until the return of Jesus Christ. |
