Rodney K. wrote: Hear all ye who doth post on the SA forum, even ye which do post by computer, yea even ye which do post by tablet or by phone. Behold how that Jim doth not understand that which hath been written in old English. Yea, even that English which doth use words as "thee," "thou," "thy," and "thine." Therefore, if thou shouldst desire to write that which may not be understood by him, do so as I have done unto thee: even write thou in old English. For it shalt be that when thou shouldst do so; lo, he shalt be confounded. Yea he shalt be confounded from rising of the sun until the going down of the same, so that it wilt not be knownst to him what thou shalt write, neither shalt he know the meaning thereof. And lo, if thou shalt hear my words which I write this day, and if thou, even thine own self, shalt write in the manner thereof, he wilt be as one who graspeth at the wind; even as one who voteth for liberal politicians. And he shalt post links. Yea and his links shalt be many and they shalt be repetitive. And ye shalt know in that day, even that selfsame day, that a great confusion has been wrought amoungst thine boards; when thy words which thou shalt write do cause him to be confounded. Makes more sense to me than Jim's posts. |

B. McCausland wrote: Sorry, friend, you are in a different track of thought all together. Though what you state is true, this is not what it was being conveyed, discussed or talked about, neither was the heart of the matter in question. Sorry to say you are in a different trail of thought. Please, you are welcome to explain the connection you make with the topic discussed. No intent to offend, just being honest in case you have misread the thread's direction. Take care Your contention is that the reformation was mainly aimed at the religious world and did not entail in the main the political world. What I am saying is that the reformers saw the church and state as one and the same and therefore in their minds there was no such distinction and therefore political activism was viewed as a legitimate way of advancing the kingdom of God. |

Mike wrote: Didn't work very well, looks like. Some Christians seem to think that wholesome apples can make rotting apples better if placed in the same barrel! And, somehow this madness is perpetuated from generation to generation and then these same Christians wonder why Christendom is at such a low ebb! |

Sabbath wrote: Because God had chosen to 'rest' after six days of creation - HE then *blessed* and *sanctified* A DAY - BECAUSE He had rested from creating. The day commemorates GOD's rest. And likewise the Lord of the Sabbath rose on the first day of the week and entered his rest - his work was finished and the day of rest for Christians became therefore the first day of the week. Only the Lord of the Sabbath had that authority to change the day. The moral obligation to observe the Sabbath has never been abrogated. |

Mike wrote: The Puritan Separatists came out of the C of E for a reason. And they brought the Geneva with them to our shores. But I haven't been able to find info that Reynolds came out. Perhaps he was a PINO? Not all puritans were separatists. Many thought that the CoE was capable of reform from within and therefore remained within. |

Brit wrote: Slightly off topic; When you use the term "Feds" as in this article, do you mean government officials? I thought it had meant FBI? The Federal Government and its growing number of agencies. |

Whereas Normal people... Matt 19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery Heterosexual Christians may jump from bed to bed to bed as long as they remarry and repent. Homosexuals must never be party to such sin. We watch heterosexual Christians engage in strings of adulterous relationships but as long as they finally marry someone and repent, they're good to go with God. However, Christians with powerful same-sex attraction must stay celibate. If you're born with an opposite-sex attraction, you're blessed. If you're born with a same-sex attraction, you're accursed. |
