"(1) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that = (2) whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.Part (2) of the verse already splits the "world" into two divided parts. Therefore the term "world" never was written to imply ALL mankind in the first place. WHOM God loved is a bone of contention for some people, for example those who believe mans (free)? will has a contribution to make. Question whom does God love?
Does God love anyone unto salvation by their own effort/value/merit? No.
God loves *His* people *in* Christ, since only they will be saved IN Christ.
Those who are not IN Christ are not loved by God and will not be saved. Lets face it God's love will not be thwarted. Romans 3:23 For *all* have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. = (*us* being the saved/resurrected elect)
1John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, = (How many actually *KEEP* God's word?) = in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. |

“If you ask me today, is it possible to live to be 500? The answer is yes,” The PreMillennialist is going to live for 1000 years. The Christian is going to live for eternity. The reprobate is going to exist in hell for eternity. The Arminian is going to make his own plans based upon his own decisions. The Elect are going to the Kingdom of God to live with God for eternity. So 500 years is a drop in the ocean.
500 years in a fallen world would be hell. |
