Susan wrote: (Please notice in your bibles that "the antichrist" is a spirit, and it is plural!) Welcome to the End Times. Hi Susan 2 Thessalonians 2 3. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the wayHe is real, not yet revealed, but do you agree the falling away is going right on schedule John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled 2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. That is what this verse is talking about 1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. terry |

Walt wrote: Terry, 1."Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 2. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.*** 3.Do you know what a Christian presupposition is? What am I saying you ask? "He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God." (Jn.8:47) My point again is for him not to get frustrated if he does not understand some of his comments Hi Walt Yes, #1 My point, why would the Holy Ghost not teach using the Bible #2 Who causes that, spiritually discerned, if the Bible won't open his eyes, why would another book This is where I think your wrong Jack, it appears to me has some knowlage (no offence Jack, but he is still a baby thus requires milk) Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are full of fresh, wholesome milkTo go elsewhere to learn of God may be alright for a meat eater 3.presupposition is, what he will learn from man If he only understands 2% of the Bible thats better than a mans whole book |

Walt wrote: Jack, You make an excellent observation. I could not agree more, but you probably know that sometimes there is a few different manuals that could cover the same repairs using different methods. Generally there is only one manual and one publisher for every auto, but sometimes looking a little deeper you might find a better manual covering the same topic. Don't be surprised if the guy who wrote that better manual covering the subject matter he did not struggle through the process to make improvements to the texts. I would encourage you to listen to Dr. A.E. Wilder-Smith. Don't get turned off by his Christian presupposition... Walt What are you saying? That there is something better than the Bible, someones improved interpitation?Jack You see what that will get you. Read the Bible (KJV) 1 Timothy 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 2 Timothy 3 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in |

And the Prophets of Baal said wrote: AmenAnd it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. I know you love to twist scripture, and most of the time I see your point. What does your comment have to do with, Amen Ground Hog Day wrote: Please! This mocking is unbearable! Don't you have any positive contributions to make seeing as how you are all so spiritual? Would you not consider posting something to edification rather than these sarcarstic comments |

Jack wrote: I was curious to see what people who are so sure about other people's "immorality" talk about. It's pretty clear from these "debates" that typical Christians are pretty shaky about their own place in the cosmos. Does God really care if your whole body was immersed? NO, no He don't, they miss the boat and babble like the old ladies.Uh.. Oh -wrote Jack I know this must be difficult for you to understand but what may seem to you like merely quibbling is very important to Christians who are concerned to be obedient to all the teaching of the Bible. Another classic statement but what may seem to you like merely quibbling Jack Thats what it is, not all that important Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Mark 12 (King James Version) 30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these Thats what is important to christians terry |

Jack wrote: Terry, I read some of your previous comments. I too am a Ron Paul supporter. I've seem him speak on several occasions and never heard religion bleed into his political statements. I guess his libertarian streak appeals to my existential world view. I do not seek the "spiritual" for two reasons. 1. I don't feel the need. 2. There is nothing there to find. Whether we like it or not the physical world is all there is. I know this because I have five senses and they're all in good working order. Jack I do not seek the "spiritual Sounds like someone I know You know there is a lot going on in the physical world Its been about 4 years now, when I first started to read the Bible I found Ron Paul about a year ago, while dong a study on the book of Revelation. Discerning Believer wrote: I received sad news today that my 3 month old great-nephew passed away this morning. So now this question has hit home. Now I am trying to encourage my nephew and his wife that "such is the kingdom of God." How does one comfort if you have no assurance in God's grace on infants who can't answer to themselves. I have great peace and assurance that He does. DB Sorry, it is sad. The Bible as I understand it now could be saying what Walt wrote, I tend to agree. The only thing that comes to mind is David, when he lost his baby, he said something along the lines of he would see his child again, and that would be in Heaven. Although David was not sinless by any means, I feel a man after Gods own heart went to be with the Father, and the Bible does speak of family members being saved because the head of the household was Also Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven He also said Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven Matthew 18:5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me Pray |
