Let's not set ourselves up to hear " oh yea of little faith" requesting sign after sign, if you need more signs please, is that Bible into someone who hasn't been quickened, please, rather than let it gather dust whilst waiting on wonders a signs all the time. That's not directed at anyone in particular, just those trying to defend the gifts movement. |

Scripture please that even implies we're to pray in a "prayer" language, scripture please that even remotely has someone praying in a "prayer" language?? There isn't any, at all in the entirety of the Bible, anywhere in the Bible can anyone show me where an angel, or a prophet instructs to use prayer language, even a hint that we should. Do we understand hyperbole? |

What's the use in praying in our spirit? Without education. Hidden many words was it again Paul compared? 5 known as apposed to 10,000. Yep Paul's really pushing for us to talk in tongues isn't he. Now John, there are people here who may need help regarding this, can you please refrain from offering advice as YOU sir peddle another Gospel, and you sir are described in Galatians, and we sure are not the fools spoken of in Galatians you'd wish we were. You will serve only to confuse the young and confound the elder |

The smallest leaven, remember ruins the loaf. Leaven, idiomatic of the Jewish laws that they themselves made, not good, leaven RC worship, if it's not God we worship, in truth and as pointed out which Jesus do you follow? The real Jesus or pseudo Jesus, if it's not inline with the biblical Jesus, it's all of Satan. Please remember that folks |

Why do you, who are infatuated with spiritual gifts take your reference from a negative epistle regarding improper use and which quiet blatantly states why, when we have a clear and concise rendering of gifts for us in one of the best works Romans? Not one of our scriptures or examples are addressed, instead you who believe in this modern day tripe would rather address it with your experience and what your hearts tell you. Shane in all love, ignoring that which is plainly stated is ignorance . Sorry to offend, but it's the truth that ultimately matters, not feelings |

Firstly, I'm sorry dalores, you could not be further from the truth, your understanding is limited as displayed by your posts, please refrain. Dalores if tongues are a sign for unbelievers then how is it, tongues are a prayer language? If does that mean if you pray in a tongue I should consider you an unbeliever? As you're your own audience. All things were to be for the edification of the church, not personal. I pray you'll gain some knowledge, for your sake, 🙂. That's ok Shane thankyou mate, God can do what he likes, any should know that, but he had left us with zero doubt here in his word that certain gifts will and have ceased. Again Paul says it point blank. Tongues will cease. ??? |

G'day Shane, no dispensation Train of thought needed, it's a fact, when the Canon of scripture was open it was still open, bang done mate, If not, why then need for any New testament writings, if God is continuously using modern day apostles? Why was Paul writing to the Corinthians in the first 3 incidences? Through basic grammatical observation of the epistles to the Corinthians one can plainly see that Paul does indeed say tongues will cease, how more clear can he be |

Tongues examples in the New testament. When the Jews received the gospel See acts 2. The Samaritans see acts 8:13Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. 14¶Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: Then the gentiles see acts 10:46For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, |

Romans3:1¶What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? 2Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. 3For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.kjv. Just pointing out. Also, notice in the quote from 2 Corinthians 12:12. Notice it's all past tense and that was then, " were wrought among you in all patience in signs and wonders and mighty deeds." Bang done!! Now take into account, Rev22:18¶For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.kjv. |

Did Jesus teach us to Heal, Cast out Demons, Talk in an unknown 👅? One example of our Lord dealing with this is, Matt7:20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21¶Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24¶Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:kjv. Note, it's our fruit will be known for not our the spiritual gifts. 🤔 |

Acts 19:11¶And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: 12So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. 13Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. 14And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. 15¶And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? 16¶And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. |
