“ Great Sermon! ”
Excellent sermon on the state of affairs. We truly do need humble, godly men in the pulpit.

@pennnelope: Oil *does* come from fossils. Ask any scientist -- creationist or evolutionist. The flood of Noah's day destroyed an enormous amount of creatures, including tons upon tons of dinosaurs; and as the bones and organic matter were compressed due to the movement of the earth during the flood and its aftermath, oil and coal formed. It's not an evolutionary idea or an element of historical science; it's an observable, repeatable fact.

No hard feelings, just wanted to clear that up and let you know that, as a creationist, you can believe that fossils made oil. It's the evolutionists who have a problem, because oil typically can't stay pressurized underground for more than 10,000 years, and yet they claim that much of it has been there for millions of years. Oil wells and fossil fuels are perfectly consistent with a biblical worldview -- not so much with a humanistic worldview.

I have not made any comments on the canon of Scripture... Not sure why someone thinks I did. I am Protestant, and I don't believe we are ever counseled to "pray" to triumphant saints. We can ask fellow believers here to intercede for us, but there is no biblical warrant for praying to those who have gone on -- especially when we have direct access to the Father through Christ, the One Mediator between God and man. Plus, aren't the saints going to have more important things to be attending to? Like worshipping Christ? What evidence do we have that they any longer know anything of what goes on on the earth?

@John Y.: Why is everything demonic with you? Is there no room for people who just act according to the impulses of their sinful flesh?

Does this essentially mean she would be "Saint" Teresa? Would she have a special purpose that Catholics are directed to pray to her for? Like how Saint Lucy prays for the blind...or something like that...

John, although in this post you infer that you are not trusting in the Catholic Church. But in all other posts, this is what you've said, " fall in line with Catholic teaching." So what is it gonna be - trust in Christ alone, through faith alone, by grace alone? Or, " fall in line with Catholic teaching.?
Do you ever say fall in line with the scriptures? No. The Catholic Church has added to the scripture, attempted to usurp the work of the Holy Spirit, and exalted the Pope above the Lord Jesus Christ's person, and His finished work. You know this.
So your question does not require an answer.
Do you have a job besides posting rhetoric?
Do you really follow the scriptures? There are 73 books in the Bible, but because seven of them didn't line up with what Martin Luther believed, he rejected them. Despite what you believe, Scripture is incredibly elastic.

Plus, the more you attack other Christians (despite what you believe, Catholics do preach Christ risen), the more you destroy the body of Christ.

I and me business will no longer serve customers who openly use bad language. Or customers who live an openly heterosexual, fornicating lifestyle.

I understand the point about how I equivocated Christianity and Islam. I only did so because that's what the world would do. They're both just religious options to most people.

About the transgender paper question. I probably wouldn't mind. Again, it would be very interesting to me. But I would certainly want to insert my personal convictions about why that lifestyle is problematic, inconsistent, and or wrong. And I would do the same with the Islam paper.

Being assigned a point-of-view worksheet is indoctrination? I personally would enjoy writing such a paper, because it would help me to learn and understand a point of view I don't agree with. And that would serve to strengthen my convictions against it. So I don't at all see how this is a negative thing. Would we rise up in protest if children were told to write from a Christian's point of view? I think not.

Yes... exactly what we need... Why not just have a day where we share the gospel? Or is there going to be an "anti-liars" day sometime soon, too? Otherwise we're treating one sin as if it supersedes all others and is worthy of disdain -- as if we aren't guilty of rebellion against Him. This just looks to me like it will hurt our cause more than help it.

The Lake of Fire

“ God's wrath ”
Doubts poison my mind from time to time. These doubts are shot at me like poison darts. They are trials of my Christian journey. This sermon has really helped to bring order to the reasons of why God lets many go to the lake of fire. It seemed as though God would allow the eternal sufferers to be freed. If you ever just imagine the horror of such a fate, you have to shudder at the thought that Hod would create someone to die. It has comforted me and strengthened me. I thank God for using this man to clear such poison from my mind.

“ Call the Sabbath a delight ”
I found this sermon helpful for providing additional material for a sunday school lesson. I was somehat disappointed by the ending though, especially the shallow rendering of the word 'rest'. Does this mean I should indulge in worldy pursuits such as going to the theatre as Pastor Teis encourages believers to do? Surely part of 'calling the sabbath a delight' includes rejoicing in reverent praise and worship, fellowship with other christians and doing good to the hearts and souls of others, such as outreach to the lost? We seem to have lost this concept in recent generations and it is no surprise if doing nothing is all the people of God are encouraged to do on the 'Sabbath day'. To rest is surely to set aside mere earthly pursuits of the week and turn our minds and thoughts to eternal things?

It was always the THEOLOGICAL ROMANISTS and Liberals in Church History who started the attack on this universally held interpretation of the teaching of Holy Scripture concerning 'The Great Whore' and 'The Antichrist. http://www.ianpaisley.org

“ Great Sermon! ”
Hey, ARNE, DEAD wife refers people not saved by grace of Jesus, it's not about woman or man. It's about people who are not saved. The old husband refers to ADAM, new husband is JESUS, who fulled the law. We as the church, which are the body of followers in Christ are the bride of Christ. Jesus and the church will be united as in a marriage between bride and groom. It's a spiritual message. Without spiritual understanding, yes it will sound strange to you.

Yes, that's why it is slanderous, sinful and a violation of the 9th commandment for you to attribute such notions to all dems en masse. As man thinks in his heart so is he. Very unprofitable.
