The word of my Lord says, "Thou are Peter", and Bene XVI is a successor to Peter, therefore, he has the "Keys to the Kingdom", and Jesus continues to build his Church upon Peter...and the gates of Hell have not prevailed against it, further, Bene XVI has been given the power (by Christ) to "bind and loose". I agree that there is "only one name" and that "there is only one mediator between God (the Father) and men". King David didn't measure up to men's idea of a King, but its not up to men's ideas, its up to God to chose a leader. Unlike you, I am not prepared to tell Jesus what I need. Obedience is a virtue.

No, no its not

I make no comment on whether the image is real or a hoax

Abrahams story is a picture of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.Abraham is representative of God. Isaac is representative of Jesus carrying the wood on his back and is going to be the sacrifice for sin suffering our penalty, in the same way that Jesus is the sacrifice for our sin. The knife represents the justice of God against sin bringing death, and the fire is symbolic of the burning wrath of God against sin. The ram caught in the thicket is a substitute for Isaac being offered in his stead(Genesis 22:13), in the same way that Jesus is a substitute for us, taking our punishment for our sin.
God placed Jesus on that cross. God crushed him, God smote Him, the Bible says "it pleased the Lord to bruise him", "that when he is made an offering for sin the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand", and "He shall see the travail of His soul and shall be SATISFIED"(Isaiah 53)
Did God sin by crucifying His own Son that we might be saved? No.
AMEN

Jack, thats what its all about
Well said preacher

Mr. Evans,
What was it that Job said?
"But he said to her, You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity? In all this Job did not sin with his lips." JOB 2:10
What a blessing if we were to have a leader of this nation who truly feared God and not man.
I cannot vote for a professing Christian politician if he is not adamantly against the perversions of abortion and homosexuality. It just may be that the Lord is going to judge this nation. A vote for a lesser of two evils is an unrighteous vote.
"And the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man fearing God and turning away from evil. And he still holds fast his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to ruin him without cause." JOB 2:3
Accountable to God, we Christians need to examine Mr. Paul's voting record.
AMEN
Is there such a man, running for office

, we Christians need to examine Mr. Paul's voting record
But do not strain out gnats and allow
a camel to pass through
or something like that

Just vote Christian

True. I really am just curious about the Abraham story & its implications. Can God order someone to perform an act that God has already deemed a sin?
I realize chronologically the ten commandments were delivered to Moses after the Abraham story , but the ban on killing must be eternal.

They all sinned.

Actually, these people already believe in God,

In all these type of things, including
movies, and the wonderful art collection
of the roman catholic church are just setting a stage.

Why does every picture, (funny there are none actually) shows Jesus with long hair.
Although there is no discription in the Bible, (the one that says something about no graven images) says
1 Corinthians 11:14
Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

What they don't need is a self-righteous Bible-beater

Yes they do

Why would you call people who believe Gods Word
a self-righteous Bible-beater

Ha!
It does not state a measure of faith as if he is giving a portion of faith out to everyone.
lol your funny. All of you Calvs are funny.
It's the measure of faith. The word there is reffering to an instrument used for measuring, viz a staff. Much like a ruler.
ie.

and if that's not clear enough for you

If you would (ever) care to read the context (its in the same verse) then it would stick out like a soar thumb.
1. Firstly, God is not speaking of salvation but of service
2. Secondly, God is contrasting measureing our SERVICE carnally verses a spiritual measurement
A lot of you Calvs keep insisting that Romans 12:3 is teaching that God gives out pieces of faith

Not a calvinist
calvins dead, are you
. The word there is reffering to an instrument used for measuring

"according as God hath dealt"

Don't know if God needs a measuring devise, maybe He can just speak it

All your verses say what I'm saying
Did calvin say the same
I don't know

without our measure
Of what

a measure to reach even unto you.
what will

measured to you, and with what measure ye mete-talking about judging, not measure
what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged

May want to remember that

Do you remember Fatima

"the PEOPLE of the Prince that shall come" in Daniel 9:26 Specifically "the Prince that shall come" (of course 40 years After "Messiah (was) cut off, but not for himself": hence 70 AD!

It was these Roman Armies (Roman People).. [Solomon's/Herod's] Temple); and the end thereof...with a flood,

In Daniel 9:27:
"And he (The Prince)[Not Titus, But THE Anti-Christ]
shall confirm the covenant with many for one week (7 years): and in the midst of the week (7 years)...[The Abomination of Desolation]

Do you remember Fatima
Yes, I think they really see these things, but its all from another spirit.
Setting the stage, if you will.
Same thing when you say
Specifically refers to The Armies
I don't see that, as an example yes,
but not The Anti Christ. Same with
people like Hitler.
In 70 AD the temple phrophsey was fulfilled, I think. The wailing wall,
is that part of the temple?
with a flood
Revelation 14:20
And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs
Could that be concidered a flood?

In Daniel 9:27:
"And he (The Prince Not Titus

can you give me faith-No
can God give me faith-YES
Thats what it says
And by what you say, I guess one of us
got MEASURED OUT a little more from GOD.

What an argument! The "gifts" of the Spirit are gifts that are given to saved people and the Scriptures say so.
Faith to believe the gospel is given to no one! The very idea is preposterous.

RK
Now, I can say with confidence that here you are wrong. Eph. 2:8-9 declares that faith is a gift as follows:
"For by grace are you saved THROUGH FAITH, and that not of yourselves, it {faith} is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast."

JD SAYS
Faith to believe the gospel is given to no one! The very idea is preposterous

I showed you this verse before
Romans 12:3
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Maybe you could take your other gospel to TBN, those folks would love you.

Like the White-"Pope" being AN Anti-Christ NOT THE Anti-Christ! THE Anti-Christ is The Black-"Pope" to be REVEALED in the future;

The "PEOPLE of the prince that shall come" = The ROMAN PEOPLE
The "PRINCE that shall come" has dual fulfillment in:
#1-Titus/70 AD
#2-THE Anti-Christ/REVEALED After THE RAPTURE

Thanks
We may need to move this to another thread, although this may be along
the line of seeing things.

THE Anti-Christ is The Black-"Pope"
could be, I think it will be an indwelling, of who, I don't know.

The people, do you think it could be all
the unsaved, for what ever reason.
The verse says, The "PEOPLE of the prince that shall come"
To me that means The anti-christ, not
the Spirit of.
Matthew 9:34
... He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.
Matthew 12:24
... cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils
Ephesians 2:2
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience
John 12:31
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out
Titus, like the white pope, the Spirit
of Anti-Christ- not The Anti-Christ

What do you think?
