Did you mean discord sewer? If that is indeed what you meant, than I can assure you that I'm not sewing discord, just calling for ALL of us including me to have more humility and understanding when speaking to eachother.
What do you mean by calling me a discord sower? I'm saying we should all be humble when confronted by those on this form that attack and call names. So what are you meaning cause I don't understand your last statement?
Lurker my good friend , "But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way." (Romans 14:10-13)
James 5:16 KJV
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Eventually Lurker I will get around to me concerning "faults", but I perceive that God currently wants this thread dealing with you.
Great response Dopey! May that be all of our responses when faced by criticism, badgering, and name calling! I hope we an all gain more humility on this form!
PoT I appreciate knowing you are willing to have my back even though we don't agree on everything, imho that speaks of someone growing in the character of Christ, an area I hope by God's grace to grow in as well
Thank you Michael Hranek! I am so glad to know that we can move forward as friends and brethren in Christ!
I simply stood by my friend and brother Michael Hranek. If that is being a busybody or making a "personal attack" then I am sorry. I wasn't trying to attack you, just trying to defend my friend from what I deemed as an unjust attack on your part. Sorry if you were offended, I was just trying to point out the shortcomings of your arguments as you asked. I will grant you however, that since you asked Michael and not me, it probably wasn't my place to answer in such a manner. I apologize for that!

Yea, you sure were fast to distance yourself from my accurate posts, but hid like a coward when someone confronted one of your posts. Thats OK, I wasnt expecting much from you.
btw- When you are pro loving gays and anti catholic, people will get ideas about you even if you are Baptist. Maybe you enjoy the prision ministry in a way thats not natural? Perhaps you are one those warm and fuzzy pc evangelical arminian Baptist types? I dont know
Next thing we will find out you are a Pre Trib hetetic who likes the Left Behind movie because of its provacative title and your ministry consists of handing out full size Nicolas Cage posters to certain inmates
Just because somebody is pre-trib (me for example) does not make them a heretic. And are you realy gonna be so mean to everybody forever? Most of what you said was assumption and attack, not much more. Even if this guy is trying to impersonate you, you don't need to attack him. You should show kindness and compassion. Remember the verse "love your enemies, p
The poll was sponsored by an organization that sells a book and other products to people who view pornography, so the numbers have to be taken in that light. They have a built-in incentive to make the problem seem as bad as possible. I'm not saying the problem isn't bad enough as it is, but they do have every reason to make it seem worse.
Thanks for posting that! I love people who dig deep and "question with boldness". We should "Question with boldness, hold to the truth, and speak without fear"!
Interesting to note that while 400 years seems like a short period of time after Christ, that would be like us trying to depict someone for which we have no pctures from the 1600s and expecting it to be accurate! And besides many different cultures have differing depictions of Christ!
It's time to we relook at and support small churches, accept their pastors, sing the songs that are hundreds of years old that are full theology and preach the word in season or out. Please stop flocking to idol worshipping , "Jesus" is my boyfriend, because we're the elect approach to christainity. There is no difference between Joel Olsteen or Mark Driscoll. Both are cultish and do not honor our Lord Jesus Christ with their life or messege.
I agree with most of what you said, but these people (Joel Olsteen and Mark Driscoll) do not have anything to do with the elect! They don't even believe in it!
PursuitofTruth wrote: Dear Lurker, I know you asked Michael what you were missing, but I figured I might help him a bit. 1. You're missing respect 2. You're missing pithiness 3. Your missing Scriptural evidence beyond your weak interpretation. So yah, I think that about sums up the list.
Interesting that you see these shortcoming on my part in my post but fail to see them in Michael's post I quoted from or your own for that matter.
Be honest with yourself, brother. Its not the demeanor of my post that gets on your nerves but the content. I'm guessing you hold to the same hermeneutic and eschatology as Michael and can't stand to see someone challenge it.
On the contrary, I am more than happy to see somebody challenge my views, as I challenge others. "Meet me on the battleground of ideas". Also, I think it's quite presumptious on your part to assume that I agree 100% with Michael Hranek! I don't agree with him on everything, but I do except him as a friend and brother, and friends and brothers have eachothers backs when idealogical bullies like you come along. Your posts to Michael were less than respectful, and I simply pointed that out! I think the problem here is that YOU don't want anybody to challenge your views!
