There should be no conflict. American Christians should not have voted Obama into office in the first place. In my own eyes the gay marriage issue is only a small part of the liberal attack on the family. The biggest attack is abortion. When democrats are in office our American tax dollars fund training for abortion doctors overseas. Look it up. When Republicans are in office our money isn't spent this way. I can not see how any Christian can vote for this guy. There is no excuse for him.

In spite of what anyone else thinks about the Catholic Church in general, and I do have problems with many of their doctrines, the church clearly sides with the Bible on this issue, and abortion issue as well. Pelosi is another person in authority using double speak to brainwash the less intelligent among us. It's just like that snake one time in the garden saying, "God surely wouldn't forbid you from eating this fruit because the fruit is good and God is good so eat it."

I believe that God can allow us any of His gifts if He chooses to do so. I don't think we'll really see it manifested greatly until the two witnesses of Revelations appear, but divine healing or speaking in tongues when it is from God shouldn't be snubbed. I'll gladly take any gift God wants to give me.

I have seen some negatives in churches that I quickly stopped attending. That is to say, the people showing these gifts of the spirit seemed to be showing off and looking for attention.

These articles come up quite a lot because we as a nation continue to get more liberal in our views. I believe that God, although intolerant of all sins, can see our hearts. He knows the difference between someone who is tempted/trapped in the lifestyle and wants forgiveness and help to overcome it and someone who isn't looking for forgiveness, but acceptance and even celebration of the behavior. There is a big difference between those two positions even if they are both engaged in the same sin.

I won't post a link here because I'm not savvy enough to do so, but go to you tube or the other tube site of your choice and check out the John Stossle report 'Everything Illegal'. You can probably catch footage of Mr. Stossle being beaten up by a pro wrestler from back in the 80s, but that's neither here nor there. The show I want you to see shows how "everything" in America is illegal these days from raising your own food to opening up a Lemonade stand. Very interesting to see how many freedoms we don't have. One lawyer on the show says that we commit about three felonies a day.

Interesting article. My problem is that if you believe in evolution then you won't be thinking analytically either. Eventually all belief systems come down to faith, even non-belief. As believers we believe in a creator who transcends our ability to understand or comprehend. He always was and always will be. He doesn't operate within the limitations of mortal men.

Evolution eventually breaks down because the further back you go, eventually you must say that something came from nothing via a natural means, and that can't happen. A major part of evolution is that matter can neither be created nor destroyed. Playing by their own rules they can't sustain this system of belief.

I don't know about Mohler or the perception of him on this site, but I did agree with some of the things that he said. Homosexuals are sinners the same as any one of us. This sin is particularly disgusting for most of us, and the Bible does call this sin an abomination to God. If God makes a special note about what He hates, it's a good idea that we don't condone nor celebrate the activity in church.

It's a very dangerous thing to do, and it's one of the reasons why we have so much confusion today. Actual Bible believing Christians are being led astray because they have been fed this lie that they are the ones showing hatred when in reality they are standing up for demonstrable Biblical principles. Men calling what is good, evil and calling what is an abomination, good is one of the signs of the end times, so I guess we should be happy.

Christian accountability on this issue, if any, is in our attitude toward the people. Here is where I agree with Mohler, or at least I think I do. Many of us, I know I do, tease and make little jokes about homosexuality. It's true and we shouldn't do it. Also, we shouldn't be so proud. If we're not struggling with this sin, and thank God I'm not, there are plenty of others that do have our number.

I was about to go into a full rant, but I'll hold off. I'll just say that I did take the Pell grant when it was available to me, and I would have taken it again in a heartbeat because of the world that we live in today. I think offering education grants, for those who are serious about being educated is a much better investment than food stamps. I will agree that not everyone needs to go to college. I think that it is sad that many people with degrees, myself included, have to work below their abilities just to survive. There is nothing wrong with a 'blue collar' job, but after investing years and money going to school, one expects to work in a somewhat higher station as a reward for all that effort. I'm working overseas now because I couldn't find a better paying job in the states. Not everyone can do that, and not everyone would want to. It's just so hard to face $40,000 USD in school loans and find yourself stocking the same Wal-Mart shelves next to the guy who dropped out and got a GED.

When I worked in the states I always had to time my "over time" just right to avoid having it taxed so much that I actually brought home less than what I would have made if I had worked only 40 hours. As soon as money/services start getting redistributed based on need rather than talent or ability then it takes away any and all incentive to work.

There were plenty of people speaking out about Bush's vacations back when he was in office. It was out of hand then and it's still out of hand now. I do say that everyone needs to have a vacation. There is no need to be overworked and the job of President is an extremely stressful one. I for one would enjoy it immensely if Mr. Obama took a permanent vacation.I wonder if Kenya is an nice place this time of year

I'll paraphrase the late Adrian Rodgers and say that the reason most people can't find Jesus is the same reason a bank robber can't find a policeman.

Jesus doesn't have to be a stranger to anyone. Anyone can find out about Him and know Him from his words and deeds. If a person takes the time to read the Bible and come to him with a child-like, simple faith, he will find and know Jesus.

A few other problems among the many. I don't think I have "blind faith" there are so many prophecies that have come true about Jesus, as well as so many that He gave that have come true, that they are better than an eye-witness account. Look at Israel even today and how it continues to be a stumbling block for the world when it is smaller than counties in most states. The disciples didn't die for Jesus until He came back.If they were delusional, wouldn't it be just as easy to die for a "myth" before the Resurrection? Finally, one commentator states that Jesus was the one perfect human that kept all of God's commandments. I think he starts off on the wrong track there. Jesus was human and tempted as every human was, but his nature was Divine. It is impossible for any other human to live up to God's standard because our nature is fallen.

Let's see:

adult bookstore
strip club
abortion clinic (unless you are openly trying to dissuade potential clients)
Certain Used Car Lots

Those are off the top of my head, and I'm not even against moderate alcohol use. More conservative folks might include any number of bars, dance clubs, country clubs, and possibly beaches/swimming pools.

I'll stick with my copy of 'The Complete Idiot's Guide to Beating and Controlling Your Wife', thank you very much.

Seriously, and this is a serious issue, living here in the middle east I've found that the women really are treated as second class citizens. There are some legitimate "nice guys" that I know and work with that treat their wives as equals just as we do in the West (for the most part). However, there are many who won't hesitate to beat their wives and cheat on them to.

All things being equal I would say that you are right 'fiend'. However, God isn't going to let the church collapse completely. There will always be a remnant. I certainly don't think He has the same mandate/desire to let America survive. When we, using the royal 'we', have kicked him out of the nation, it can fall just like any other...and do so a lot more quickly than we would ever expect.

On the subject of pornography. I think it's hard to define exactly what is pornographic. I'm not saying one man's porn is another's art so much as I believe that any image can practically be thought of in a lustful manner no matter the intent of the artist/photographer/lady picking up dropped change at the subway. In so many words men are dogs, generally speaking, and we'll struggle with this issue all of our lives. I do find that it's strange that all of these activities that were once kept 'in the closet' are now paraded literally in the streets.

As an industry/movement pornography, abortion, and the whole gay agenda are connected and have the goal in mind of destroying the traditional family in one form or another.

The Story That Would Not Die. Again, I'm glad to see Kirk showing some back bone and not backing down. He's stated his opinion, an opinion that I share, he has stood up to the backlash and remained strong. Now, I think it's time to let it go. The seeds have been planted and a good example has been set. I don't think there is much to be gained by continuing with the debate at this juncture. That being said, I realize he is to an extent at the mercy of the person conducting the interview which is what led to the situation in the first place.

Good 'Ole lil Jimmy. No doubt the favorite president of both O'bama and Dubya as until his name is stricken from the record neither of those two yahoos can be considered the worst president we've ever had. The Bible from Genesis to Revelations is the whole word of God. Although Jesus may not have said anything on the subject of homosexuality, He did say those who love me will follow my commandments. He also said that He was not here to do away with the law but to fulfill it. Both the old and new testaments speak against the homosexual lifestyle. Revelations refer to them as dogs that will not be in Heaven. Jesus said many things that were not recorded in the Bible as well. You can rest assured that all of His sayings were consistent with the rest of the Bible.

I'm glad he's not backing down. A lot of our preachers and politicians could learn a lesson from Kirk. Respectfully state your case and then stand by your words even it the majority disagree with you. Integrity is a novel concept these days. As to the defeat of the One...I'm sad to say although I wouldn't vote him in as dog catcher, I'm afraid it'll be four more years.

Way to go Kirk! I'm glad he's got the courage to pull out the guns...now let's see if he'll stick to them. I feel the same way as he does. I don't hate anybody. We are all sinners, but you can't have "pride" months and celebrate "diversity" and still call yourself a Christian.

Graham is a coward. Say what you mean anad mean what you say. Obama is not following the Christian faith. Abortion is murder of innocent life. I can not support anyone who condones the murder of innocent babies and celebrates the diversity of the homosexual lifestyle as president. If he is a Christian, he is a very confused one. As are all the Christians who voted him into office. Win, lose, or draw, the abortion issue should keep any true Christian from voting for this joker...yet, here he is and poised to continue being an Obamanation for four more years to come. I'm glad I'm not living in the states right now.
