The poster formerly known as Russ wrote: Save yourself a lot of money and go buy a coffee maker or espresso machine and then donate the rest to a missionary That's exactly what I do. I don't feel like paying $2-5 for a cup of coffee. I can easily make my own. I'll get Starbucks only if I'm desperate. |

John Yurich USA wrote: Just who do you and all the other Evangelical Protestants on here think you are to state that because I don't attend an Evangelical Protestant Church that I am not saved? ... Hi, I'm a helpless sinner saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. Nothing in my hands I bring, simply to the cross I cling."But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils." 1 Corinthians 10:20-22 If the Mass is a propitiatory (according to official Catholic teaching) re-sacrifice (they deny this but logic dictates it) of Jesus, and the Scriptures teach of only one sacrifice, once for all (Hebrews 10:12), then to partake of the Mass is to partake with the table of demons. http://carm.org/mass-and-sacrifice-christ Obviously, church membership/attendance does not save you, but if you are willing to knowingly sit under heresy, then I would question your salvation because the regenerate love the Truth (John 18:37). If you don't agree, then you are fine with attending a JW, Mormon, COC church. |

Disciple wrote: Don't worry brothers. Our MAN is already in. He will establish His administration over the world before too long. He will smash the nations (including the USA) like a clay vessel and will rule with a rod of iron. Time to drop the politics of the enemy anyway (but lets pray for them meanwhile as we are exhorted to do in 1 Tim. 2). Agree!!! |

Christopher000 wrote: Thanks, John...aside from spilling facts, I wasn't sure how to ever go about appealing to someones emotional attachments to the mass, and other rituals. I figure that comparing anything and everything to the Bible is the meat that has the power to get someone healthy. I was curious to know what other way there is to appeal to a Roman Catholic, ... You can search here on SA for sermons on witnessing to Catholics. www.bereanbeacon.org has some good stuff too. Seek and you shall find...However, there is no formula. The Good Person Test (http://areyouagoodperson.org/, www.NeedGod.com) is a universal questionaire you can give to get people thinking. Learn the Scriptures that teach man's utter lostness and that his righteous deeds are filthy rags. Then you can counter works-righteousness...which is everything outside of Biblical Christianity.
