Tap water can mean different things; some people get their water from a well, others have different city systems, and they are not all the same.
In Florida I read of a pollution problem caused by dry cleaners dumping their chemicals onto the ground, which polluted the groundwater. Residences nearby, using wells, had to stop using water for anything, not even showering (well, I guess it would get their clothes clean without detergents, and maybe their cars too).

And frequently, at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport, they cover up the drinking fountains whenever a construction crew in the area cuts through a water line, decreasing the pressure.
I saw a short video on a commercial weather channel that mentioned this tap vs bottled issue in relation to hurricane preparedness. Although it confused the county mayor with the city mayor, it still made good sense.
Another problem is the growth of bacteria in water bottles that people refill with tap water.

Good thinking, Bourgoin of SC. One way is to read the info from ACT--the American Congress for Truth, run by a Lebanese Christian woman persecuted by Muslims when they took over Beirut. Another is to read 'The Sword of the Prophet' by Serge Trifkovic.

Think about this: govt can make you sell your home and move away! Yes, this is what is happening with the Dan Miller case I mentioned before. The Franklin, TN county govt cracked down on Dan for converting a barn on his farm property for non-farm purposes (holding conferences, meetings). So, he has to bulldoze the barn, or just sell it all and leave it to the next owner. Of course, they might factor in the cost of bulldozing the barn, so he will end up paying for it anyway! I guess you can't 'unconvert' the barn to use it for farm animals.

That's a wise observation, Dr. Tim. But it makes you wonder how he nearly became the Democrat Party's presidential candidate for 2016, if it weren't for Hillary's cheating tactics that took him out.

This is just one case that is being reported. How many others have been going on? I would imagine many more, especially when the family decides they want the money from the elderly relative's will, so they can go on vacations. Did you know that in Germany and France, businesses must give their employees 5 weeks of paid vacation leave every year (and that's just to start; each year they get more time).

I wonder what the boy-wonder of socialism in the US Senate, Bernie Sanders, the man who has never worked on a real job in the private sector all his life, who lived off govt aid and was thrown out of a socialist commune because he refused to work, thinks about Venezuela, Cuba, etc. I also remember the last US President, Barrack Milhouse Obama, visiting Cuba and making great fanfare of what he was going to change the lives of the people there. And what happened in the end? Not much.
I happen to know many college students who I asked about the 2016 Presidential Elections. They were not too interested. Hillary Clinton's running mate for Vice President came to their campus for a rally and only a hundred or so people showed up. Of course, same thing happened to Hillary when she spoke at the convention of Black Baptist Churches (I think it's called the National Baptist Convention); they had an entire area of the hotel's convention center set up with chairs, but so few people showed up they had to hurriedly close off entire sections so that it would not appear in publicity photos that she spoke to 200 people, 1800 empty seats. And they still wonder how they lost the election?
I think they are in for a rude awakening this November--things will not go their way!

I can well imagine how the dialogue went. Archbishop: when do you want to take over all Anglican buildings? Next year? OK.
How much will you offer to pay for them? One pound? That's fair. I will warn you they need a lot of repairs, so it might cost you a million pounds to get them in working order, and the heating costs are going 'through the roof' though you friends in the oil business should get you some cheap heating oil. Oh, I forgot, we got read of the oil burners and now only have electric. Something about air pollution that the govt got upset about.

This is so true! No longer can anyone say, "A man's house is his castle."
Dan Miller of the 48 Days podcast ran into a problem with the local govt. on his property near Franklin, TN. They said he couldn't host any gatherings in his converted barn on his small farm, and now, he will have to bulldoze it or pay a daily fine. Of course, he could just hire some big-time lawyer and spend oodles of money on legal fees.
Note that it wasn't enough to promise not to use the barn again in an illegal way. Nor can he buy some horses or llamas to fill the barn with.
And note his property is a farm, without the many rules and regulations that apply to people living in cities with subdivisions.

Well, years ago they rewrote the manual of psychology to remove homosexuality from it, so it's only natural they want to rewrite the Bible.
It is interesting to note that today, that same manual of psychological illnesses includes 'hoarding' which was not in there ten years back. How did that happen? Have people only in the past ten years started to accumulate things? I knew a few people in the small town I grew up in that had messy, disorganized houses, and others kept hidden away in the basement. But no one would say they were psychologically ill.
Maybe the industry behind the Self-Storage Warehouses promoted the shows on cable TV that focused in on the issue.
Meanwhile, sodomites were busy promoting their 'lifestyle' (really a death-style) in many movies and TV shows. Men dressing up as women was frequently seen in 1950s TV shows and movies. Then we find out that stars like Jim Nabors and Rock Hudson were sodomites.

Good news..in a way. Better than have him kept in jail for more time. And it looks like an issue President Trump can use to twist the arm of the govt to release him. Or a special unit of the NRA could rescue him, with Chuck Norris in the lead.

I have seen cafeterias replace the plastic straws with paper ones, and they do not last very long.
I read somewhere that the large coffee restaurant chain has more plastic in their cup lids than in the plastic straws.
Once again, this shows you the Liberal Mindset where trivial matters become Very Important. They don't ask what percentage of the landfill is made up of plastic straws.
Same thing with the paper towels vs. air dryers in rest rooms. Now health experts tell us that air dryers are bad because they recirculate the air in the rest room that is filled with fecal matter from the flushing of toilets (yes, even at home, your toilet is releasing the same stuff in the air. makes you think the outhouse was the best solution!)
And then the issue of Paper Bags vs. Plastic Bags. Using a fabric bag over and over again is bad, since it picks up nasty stuff from the leaky bag of chicken gizzards you bought for your cat! So more trees have to be destroyed to make the paper bags--and that is good?

How can the Amish survive? Unlike the Shakers and a few other groups, they do allow their members to reproduce and raise children that will follow their precepts. This is a revolutionary concept for many. Even today in modern urbanized America, parents are taking out big loans to pay for the college education of their children, which will turn them against the values the parents have tried to teach them.

I thought this news item was posted earlier here at SA, with the source being the Washington Times.
I wonder whether the 50 percent of Bible readers include any Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, 7th Day Adventists, and Roman Catholics? I assume Jews are not included, but who knows?
Barna's research has tended to put down the role of local churches, since he wrote a book, Revolution, some years back about how all this was changing.

And I thought the problem was that Americans are getting fatter, thanks to high-fructose corn syrup replacing sugar in soft drinks, candies, catsup, chips, etc.
Sugar would be used but Big Sugar fought any opening of the US market to sugar from other countries, where the world price is a fraction of the US price.

Talk about faulty analysis! How can they depend only on obituaries! Many people don't pay the newspapers or don't want to be announced in the newspaper.
And, in terms of religion, does that include Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Masons, Muslims, Zoroastrians, Orthodox Christians, Jews, Catholics? Many people who post here would not find much in common with them.

If you understand Spanish, you can tune in to the Miami radio station La Poderosa, at lapoderosa.com, to listen to the latest news on what is happening in Nicaragua.
They just announced that Cuba and Venezuela are sending mercenaries to Nicaragua.

Elections have consequences! What a difference we are getting from the "Apology Tours" that Obama went on, saying how bad the US is.

This was just his "Hate America" Foreign Policy, and his Internal Policy wasn't much different.

How many white voters thought that, by voting for him (despite his mother being white, he is still considered black, though in Latin America, he would be mulato), they would usher in a New Age of Racial Reconciliation?

Instead, we saw the country more divided than ever, and blacks around the country were more upset than they had been under Bush. I don't remember any group like Black Lives Matter in the Bush Administration, do you?

We would not be hearing much about abortion if Supreme Court Kennedy had decided to keep his job for another 4 or 5 years. And we will continue to hear the pro-death group all the time, because they are afraid the new Supreme Court Justice-to-be, Kavanaugh, will rightly interpret the Constitution, finding no right to privacy anywhere in it that allows for abortion. This will throw it back to the states, where it's illegal in only a few states.
Instead of this pro-death talk, Christians need to unite in putting forth the truth.

I have heard a key issue in the protests is the road blockades. These are preventing the vital freight of drug shipments from getting through. Thus, the govt is hiring mercenaries as sharp shooters to kill those putting together the blockades. The govt. is dependent on getting their "piece of the action," so the roads must be kept open.
