This was a fantastic testimony. Thanks so much for sharing with all of us. Rosaria said a lot of things that really made sense and put this issue into its proper context. I will recommend this mp3 to others.

I am listening to this sermon and I really disagree with this approach. While homosexuality is a sin, I believe it is wrong to deny a homosexual a wedding cake or a room at a bed and breakfast -- AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT HOLDING HETEROSEXUALS TO THE SAME STANDARD. James 2 tells us that we are not to show partiality. If we made wedding cakes for heterosexual fornicators or allow them to stay at a bed and breakfast, we are hypocrites. There is no reason to single out homosexuality the way we do. All it does is alienate them from the gospel. Trust me, they already know how we feel about this issue. There is no reason to make it worse by treating them any differently than any other unbeliever. Just my .02.

Sermon:
Should The Authorised Version be Replaced?
Rev. Stephen Hamilton

“ NO! ”
Too many reject the AV and the TR Reformation text on the basis of a 'Thus saith Dan Wallace' or a 'Dr James White' as their final authority or due to the satanic undermining of the AV by heretics such as Peter Ruckman and other extreme King James Only'ists. There is much more to be considered than the views of the above, whether good men or heretics! Why not hear this sermon series and see if those who prefer the Gold standard that is the Authorised Version do so with sound reasoning. This sermon is most instructive and I look forward to hearing more. Also consider the series and some of Dan Wallace's strawman reasoning and why we need wisdom before we quote another experts supposed scholarly understanding. Understand why you reject the AV before following any trend to do so: http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=92513844468

Testimony of Rev Larry Power

“ Great Sermon! ”
A blessing to hear Larry's testimony how he was brought up in a Roman Catholic family and how the gospel seed was first sown by a Christian farmer and how Larry was converted some years later and separating from the darkness of Romanism. It was interesting to hear how Larry's RC grandfather would have nothing to do with him after his conversion but as a dying old man came to trust Christ through Larry's witness. Also the question for believers- a warning about our churches falling into dead formalism.

“ Simple but beautiful truth! ”
"The greatest thing in the world is to be saved"! I Timothy 1: 15 I was converted and saved by the grace of God and enabled to trust Christ alone without first coming into contact with any church. Having read John 3: 36; John 5:24; 6:37,47; Romans 8: 1, 9, 16 and I John 5: 9-13 I knew from the Bible alone that a Christian can have full assurance and KNOW that he has eternal life. I knew by the testimony and record of God's word that I was saved and prayed in simple believing faith that God would be pleased to grant full assurance according to His promises and by the inner witness of the Holy Spirit that morning I KNEW! I went to my nearest church that Lord's Day morning-the first hymn: Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood. Hot tears of joy fell onto my hymn book at such a blessing that the chief of sinners KNEW he was a child of God. This was the only time I heard any truth in that ecumenical Methodist church which had departed from God's Holy Word-the Bible and where none possessed that God given full assurance. Listen to this sermon- how can you go to sleep tonight without believing God's precious promises, without that blessed certainty and assurance?

A good sermon on what the Bible teaches!False religion and the cults and those with no religion deny 'full assurance' because they deny sola scriptura.. 'Full Assurance' http://www.spurgeon.org/sermons/0384.htm 'But shall I tell you who the gentlemen are who generally raise objections to the glorious privilege of assurance? There are, first of all, the adherents of the Pope of Rome..' Spurgeon does a good job also in providing Biblical evidences 'that I have eternal life' in the sermons: HELPS TO FULL ASSURANCE http://www.spurgeongems.org/vols28-30/chs1791.pdf and also 'The Blessing of Full Assurance' http://www.spurgeon.org/sermons/2023.htm "The Church of Rome teaches that no man can be assured that he has eternal life...Impossible to know that you are quickened? It ought to be impossible to have any doubt about it! Rationally, a living man should know that he is alive. No man should give sleep to his eyes or slumber to his eyelids while he has a doubt about his eternal state. It is possible and, if it is possible, it is very desirable—for when a man knows that he has eternal life, what a comfort it is to him!" Amen!!!

Any have any thoughts about seeing Angels? Apparently the persecuted church 'sees things' according to the quote attributed to Paul washer on the above link.

I have read quite a bit on persecuted martyrs like Tyndale and the English protestant martyrs...strangled and all burnt to death, but none saw any angels.

Muscari

No party or pants tricks.

No Christian 'hopes' that any go to hell, on the contrary. Go and read I Corinthians 6: 9-11 and consider 'such WERE some of you' in that context. There is still hope for sinners- see I Timothy 1: 15.

Jesus knows all about YOU Muscari and His word: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

***Isn't it funny how those leading "destructive lives" aren't the ones who raise a fuss about other people's lives***

No it isn't funny, friend, to see sinful men reveling in or countenancing the wicked perversion of others. I much prefer this Christian Pastor who has a burden to see sinners (those leading "destructive lives")come to a true knowledge and saving faith in His precious redeemer...our lovely Lord Jesus Christ, than some one who rants about freedom of speech but can't tolerate Christian TRUTH. The destructive life will lead to eternal destruction, but you won't even make a fuss or a squeak?

BTW That is the view of this website sermonaudio.com not the Pastor.

That is the trouble of the internet. Anonymous mice who hide behind a keyboard spouting what they could never say face to face in a manly way. Freedom of speech is best served anoy mouse ly?

The Daily Mail managed, at the time, to comment on the cross dresser that appeared on Question Time, seeing the absurd political correctness gone mad of the BBC.

I don't see any Daily Mail comment about Will Young, so have a listen to Peter Cotton's audio commentary that is available with this news item.

UK readers should be savvy to the English churchman article on the 9th and 16th edition: Marriage Coalition Cracks as Carey Backs Immorality.

“ Conviction ”
If only our pastors these days had the same conviction about the scriptures that Jonathan Edwards obviously had. The wrath of God if mentioned at all, is heavily sugar-coated to appeal to the culture. In my own church you are guaranteed to hear at least 4 or 5 jokes during the sermon. It is time we took scripture seriously and believe wholeheartedly what it says!!

“ Great Sermon! ”
Whilst agreeing 100% with these excellent messages from a faithful Pastor set for the defence of the gospel, I ponder the lack of evangelsim in many areas of the UK. The nation will not hear the gospel or any Bible Truth via Government resources or the media, but they should hear it via God's choice messengers...those handful of elderly 'bigots' who are involved in street out reach who are the reproach of British Society? see Blackpool example here http://www.protestantoldpaths.org/ What if every UK church had an open air witness in our towns and cities? At the very least then the people of our nation would know what Christians really believe and what the Bible really teaches..Biblical Christianity! These same people are not coming into the churches; they will not hear via the wicked media....the UK whilst ripe for judgement is also ripe for missionary evangelism whilst there is still hope, but where is that evangelism in so many parts of particularly England? Silence is golden? Where are the Christians prepared to be thrown to the lion of state persecution which is still a toothless lion compared to previous centuries and the blood of the martyrs? Churches sending missionaries to far away lands? Then why not first to the streets of England?

This is a very encouraging update on the work of the TBS by their speaker Dr Allen- with everything from Missionary work, Bible translation and even camouflaged Bibles, and especially worth hearing for the wonderful conversion of an Asian lady who noticed the Authorised Version Trinitarian Bible Society Posters on the wall of a Church in Humberside!
