John Yurich USA wrote: Do you have so much hatred for the RCC that you are incapable of recognizing the fact that Catholic Parochial School students fair better in testing then public school students? That is a proven fact. I can't say for sure, but I think he was referring more to the fact that in a public school, you're not really being taught anything under the guise of Christianity, whereas in a Catholic school, what they are teaching you is falsely claimed to be Christian. Thus, for a Christian, the Catholic School, while getting better grades, is actually more dangerous than the public school. |

Well, stuff like this makes me glad I already have a direct line to God! Printing stuff out, driving to a wall where, as far as I can tell, there is no scriptural basis for it being "God's inbox", and stuffing it in there just seems like much more of a hassle than simply praying. But that's just me |

Honestly, I don't see a problem with this. I know, I know, the "slippery-slope" thing that if we let them have anything, that it'll destroy marriage as we know it. But I don't buy it. No, I don't believe homosexuals should be married. I don't even believe atheists, Muslims, or maybe even Jews should get married (not sure about Jews though). But I do believe that Christians are called to love, not take away worldly benefits from worldly people just because they are worldly. I don't understand why we are so adamant on this. We call gays worldly and deny them the worldly right associated with marriage, while at the same time we give the atheist who is just as fallen, and just as sinful, the one who may very well also go to Hell, the very same rights that we deny others! Is homosexuality truly greater than any other sin? In my opinion, we should allow homosexuals every single right that marriage has, and take marriage from the non-Christians so that marriage is simply the spiritual, God-glorifying version of civil unions or whatever they call it. That way, marriage will be for Christians so that we can glorify God and conform to the image of His Son. |
