John Yurich USA wrote: I agree that Francis will permit priests and nuns to get married but I doubt that he will permit women to be ordained priests. Why wait for a man to decide this? Why not just adhere to the Bible and realize the forbidding to marry is a doctrine of devils and that a head of a new testament church is to be the husband of one wife? 1 Timothy 4:1-3 - 1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 1 Timothy 3:2 - A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; |

neighbor wrote: ... Well if you will insist as a nation to have a gun and assault rifle shop on every street corner what can you expect. Discussions on here have revealed some to be of the lynch mob justice mentality, thats why they are armed to the teeth - thats why people are killed every six hours in your country. The right to bear arms has become a dangerous and murderous basis for murder and massacre in America today. What about the "right to life" in peace and safety in America?? Never mind love your neighbor - can you trust him with a gun?? "There are ~14,869 more gun stores in America than grocery stores. Specifically, there are 51,438 gun retailers and 36,536 grocery stores. There are almost as many gun dealers in America as gas stations..." (businessinsider.com) First, pick a moniker.Your same schtick, different name act is tired. Second, in 2011 Illinois had the 9th most strict gun control measures(according to the Brady folks) in the union but that doesn't seem to be helping the Chicago dead. The liberty to own a gun is part of the right to life issue. For it gives the lawful gun owner the ability to defend himself and his family against the lawlessness that has infected a country which has forgotten God. |

The master's Slave wrote: ... The world will be overtaken by Islam and Christians will be tortured and killed by the religion of peace and that's that. Not so...Revelation 17:6 - And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. The woman is the whore on seven hills, the hills are in Rome. The whore will later be destroyed. Neither the whore nor the whore's destroyer are Islam. |

Hot Rod Nate wrote: That's true. But its no good reason to hate on our troops. They didn't decide that the feds did. The troops are in the middle of it all. They follow orders. We need to support our troops, not spit on em as they come home as happened during Vietnam. They take an oath to primarily defend the Constitution of the United States and secondarily follow orders. Currently, they are primarily following the second and ignoring the primary. Further, they are not currently in the business of defending our freedoms. This is something you have heard from Faux News or other such propaganda outlets. Finally, recognize that a military that scratches off Bible references, burns Bibles, claims to be a global force for peace (rather than an entity responsible only for the protection of a single country) and openly condones and allows for sodomy contrary to its own military code of conduct, is not a military you want to be on the side of when God sees fit to judge it. |

"Amendment IVThe right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." - A document once adhered to in the U.S.A. that is now ignored by rebels |

I.M. Wright wrote: Whewww! I had to clean my reading glasses off and then my computer screen to make sure I was reading it correctly! For a minute, I thought Philip Howard (very well know to all, I think) had died! Good to know he's still kicking. Now, who is this guy? I've never heard anything about him. What college did he play football for? Or was he a tennis player at Wimbledon? Or won a few Master Tournaments knocking the little white ball into the holes? Maybe I'm a little dense, OK, but I don't get it--why is this guy worth any mention at all? But I like the input on loud worship. Too bad electric speakers and amplifiers had not been invented in the Old Testament. Howard Phillips was a founder of the Constitution Party and Presidential Candidate. You have not heard of him as America has a controlled election process and the mainstream media has a biased towards the two-party/one-party system. One of his sons, Doug Phillips, is a leader of Vision Forum which is a very popular publication within Christian, particularly reformed Christian, circles. As best I can tell, in these times where there are so few, Howard Phillips was an honorable man, father, husband and patriot. |

SteveR wrote: Im in the crowd that believes that 'loud' means to sing as loud as one can with joy, not the mind numbing noise that is played in some churches today. 100% agree. To me the problem is not with the volume but with the type of music. Singing or playing a psalm, hymn or spiritual song loudly...amen. Singing or playing fleshly, rock and roll loudly...not so good. |

Christopher000 wrote: I have to Google some of these labels. I thought Evangelical just meant Bible believing, born again, etc. But then, I thought Charismatic was the same as Pentecostal...or is it. Anyway, too bad there are sooo many labels when there is only one Bible. I don't understand how anything in the Bible can be interpreted so many ways that it causes Christians to actually splinter, and berate each other. Pretty sure that isn't what was intended. Out of the seven churches, I wonder which one(s) Christ is happy with. Emerging churchers are fallen away Evangelicals. Evangelicals are fallen away Fundamentalists. The major reason so many things are interpreted differently by so many folks is, while everyone says they believe in the same book, they mostly believe in different books. There's a hundred+ English versions of the Bible and if none of those say what one wants them to, they can always go to the original Greek and make it say something else. 'Tis hard to be united doctrinal, when we are divided scripturally. "...hath God said..." - The Serpent |

Carse wrote: Well said Christopher! I have noticed this same phenomena in the "next" generation (I am an oldy of 63 years). So I observe it happening in our grandchildren. I wonder if this is common to the problem we identify in that "authority" in society is being removed. The church and the Bible is no longer respected as an authority in the community and even in some churches. Moral standards as an authority are being rejected in the generations. Justice is weakened and criminals receiving more quote "human rights" which are mollifying them. Other institutions such as education are suffering as an authority too. Christopher000 wrote: Ridiculous. I have two nieces and a nephew on my wife's side. They have had iPads, iPods, smartphones, and gameboys, Nintendo's, Kindles, etc, since they were very young. Take them away for any amount of time, and look out. Not only that but the girls are never disciplined, appreciate nothing, respect nobody, including their parents, get waited on, and all they have to do is cry to receive cimfort when they should be sparked. I say spanked because nothing else works. Talk to the parents and they will tell you they are super parents raising the most well rounded girls. Frustrating. Sounds like they hate their children.Proverbs 13:24 - He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. |
