You know Ugh.

Why don't you grow up and minister grace to the hearers? Or blog someplace else.

Jim Lincoln

Can you explain why sermons I've recommended to the SA bloggers are not being revealed?

I have submitted Robert Fisher's sermon three times and yet it has not come up for listening.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Here is a great message for the times we're living in. This is the third comment I've made that has not made it to the blog. What's up with that? Robert Fisher has a passion for the love of God to become manifest in the saints. This is worth listening to over and over again.

“ Love in Action ”
Have you prayed to God in heaven today to have Him cleanse your hearts and fill your words with grace? Here is something to consider and meditate upon - And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell (James 3:6). So don’t oil the wrong wheels today; though they squeak. Let's talk about Jesus. Let's talk about him. Let's talk about the Son of God who became a man, and died for all of our sins. Let's talk about the Crucified who bled and died, and in three days rose again. Let's talk about Jesus. Let's talk about him. Why did God send this one into the world? For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (Jn 3:17-19) Amazing! He did this while we were yet sinners. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins (1 Jn 4:10). We love him, because he first loved us (1 Jn 4:19). My heart goes out to this young lady. Young people, who can biblically defend the faith, are not the only ones feeling ostracized. I will certainly pray for all experiencing the rejection and ostracism.
The failure of Evangelical teacher, the ones implicated by the title, is that they can’t defend the faith. So how can they ground others in the faith. Every “evangelical” church I’ve attended used the same Sunday school lessons, published under three different names - Union Gospel Press, Robert C. Cook, and Standard Publishing Co. There are probably more. But literature like this keeps everyone on the same level. The pigmy level at best.
The classes go as follows: Title is read, Text, Intro., each person reads one or two verses, discussion, & questions. Teacher’s book is exposited. With the work being cut out for you, what need is there for the Holy Spirit? There is no incentive to study. The teacher would be lost without the SS book. It is routine. Bible studies are sermons without music. There are no dialectics. For myself, I don’t want to hear the preacher four times a week unless he’s teaching me how to study for personal benefit. God has done, is doing, and will do in the world, the church, and our lives is not mentioned. Christ is an afterthought; God's family nil.

1517,
I did not mean to infer that I had "been humbled by the Lord recently." It is just that after being a Christian for so long, one tends to forget for false teaching they believed. We forget that we were (were)like the ones opposing those of us who have learned the difference between doctrine and dogma, etc. We can become impatient and harsh, even forgetting that the servant of the Lord must be gentle. He must adorn 1 Corinthians 13. For the saint is not in this to make a name for himself but for the Lord's glory and for his own name's sake Psalm 115,
We just forget who and what we are. This is truly a remarkable work of God's grace.
Anytime someone reveals to us what we are supposed to be like, representatives, it should humble us; put us back at the foot of the cross.
Also, these are spiritual issues; not intellectual.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Yes, B. McCausland This was indeed a great message. You seem always prepared to recommend timely sermons. How do you tell your fellow congregants Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, (Jude 11)? Without being isolated or ostracized. What I see happening among my circle of fellow believers is that they feel comfortably nostalgic with man-made celebrations. We are to consider those weak in the faith. But how can you strengthen those who don't want to grow or to see the salvation of the Lord in their midst. One can mistakenly personalize the opposition and withdraw without healthy fellowship. But often I forget where in Luke 4, after the wilderness temptation, Jesus went into the temple. The hearers rejected the man, the method, and the message of the God of all grace. How can I tell them that God will not bless those rejecting truth?

It seems that some posters on here are wound a little too tight and may need to lighten up a bit.
Randall,
You are so right. I've gotten a little too tight in responding to issues. I sometimes forget that I was one of them, and that it is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed. We have nothing we have not received from the Lord.
Now, what really gets the goat is that when you share the truth to those in your assembly they don't receive your portion.

Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, (Jde. 11) is a warning to us. "They" teach us a lot more about ourselves than themselves. All things are for our good, if we love God. People of all walks of life are teachers to the saint; either to deter us from danger and apostasy, or to encourage us to conform to the matchless, sinless One. I have to say that his name is Jesus so there will be no mistake about whom I am speaking.
As his representative, I am humbled experiencing just how unlike him I am. Especially, when I look at the failures of others.
It would be so nice and beneficial to our growth if we gathered more often to talk about him. The road is becoming more and more narrow. Its like trying to get under someone's skin. I'll try and loosen up.

“ Great Sermon! ”
The question is this: Is the Lord your saviour? Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. Not every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is saviour. But the whole world will confess Jesus Christ as someone to pay homage. Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God (Isaiah 44:6). But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD (Psalm 37:39) He that is our God is the God of salvation; (68:20). It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.(Lam 3:26). I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour (Isaiah 43:11). God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ (Acts 2:36). No one can make God anything.

"... theologians who deny Christ's actual death or his physical resurrection. Something to guard against!"
This is sad, indeed. Without the resurrection there really is no basis for the Church. So what is it about these false teachers that attract people? Now that is puzzling!
Perhaps we should do what we were instructed to do - take communion, partake in the symbolic bread and wine, in remembrance of what this person, CHRIST, did for us and for God. Expiation and propitiation. We've become robotized, mechanical, with this element of worship without reminding partakers of its meaning and, tying it into the OT shadow meaning.

A question. Then what is the significance of the theologians' message? Why assemble? What is the efficacy of the christ they preach? Only God can do what we read in scripture as the planner of redemption and fulfilling of prophecy. Again, what does this christ have to offer the people? Why not join the Elks?
Now that I think of it, some do not believe Jesus is God incarnate. Not JWs. But United Methodist.

What makes this set aside date so special?

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth(Colossians 3:1,2)
It ain't(sic) about ham and dyed eggs, bunnies, plastic grass, jelly beans, easter bonnets, Macy parades, and lawn decorations. And don't forget "good Friday, the early "sun" rise services, and the credit card debt.

Honestly, I'm puzzled by any church that can obfuscate the meaning of marriage perspicuously taught in the Bible, and can simultaneously claim to have understood the Gospel. May God continue to bless you, NBCI, for making your stance clear even at the cost of separation.
Wong Wie Khiong,
It is a damnable heresy of the unregenerate.
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities (Jude 7, 8).

HUNDREDS of SA Pastors celebrate Easter and despite your wicked intentions affirm their sermons by calling them "EASTER SERMONS."
Steve,
This only means that they too are infected with the things that make the word of God ineffective; Tradition.
It still does not make it right.
Recently my church had a "Christmas" tree and Poinsettas in front of the church. Can I say that "another one bites the dust?" I was sad.
Judge nothing before the time.
