Jerry wrote: BLAH! BLAH! BLAH! Tony and Jerry, or is it Tom and Jerry?I guess you've forgotten that the Bible has already been deemed hate speech in Canada. The culture war is in full throttle and in the end who wins will determine whether your pastor is preaching in a church or in the local jail. It is true that Christians need to be concerned about the more important things. At the same time my children are facing the homosexual agenda in the public schools that my tax money is paying for. If I complain, I could end up in jail with my kids being taken away. I won't be able to go on the radio because of the fairness doctrine. I won't be able to afford to put my kids in private schools because of higher taxes. Do politics matter, not if you don't mind throwing your kids away and your religious freedoms. As per Israel, I don't agree with everything they do, but I would rather err on the side of blessing than cursing. The problem with young people is our lack of revival. We will never have it while we are content to live without it. I haven't recommended sermons on here before, but today I will: http://www.sermonaudio.com/search.asp?SpeakerOnly=true&currSection=sermonsspeaker&keyword=Leonard%5ERavenhill |

Brother Don wrote: Intelligent Design is just as corrupt as the teachings of human evolution. It is impossible to properly teach the truth of creation apart from the name of the Intelligent Designer--the Lord Jesus Christ. This doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I understand that there are those who are against I.D. because it is too ambiguous and not clearly representing YHWH. Hugh Ross for one example is a creationist who does not agree with the I.D. position. For you to say that I.D. is as corrupt as evolution is over the top. It is true, contrary to Dawkins and advocates of evolution, that I.D. proponents do wish for this intelligence to remain somewhat anonymous for the sake of having a place in the scientific establishment. This is because spokesmen such as Philip Johnson wants the teleological argument for the existence of God and the fallacies of evolution to be pointed out in the science class without breaching the court imposed separation between church and state. In Professor Johnson's own words, it is up to others to argue who this intelligence is. The wall of separation has almost completely expelled all religious dialogue from the public market place of ideas. I.D. is one tool that Christian scientists can use to fight back. |

Susan Miller wrote: Walmart has replaced General Motors as the largest employer in America. Nancy Pelosi wants the government to take over Wal Mart. Other politicians are talking about government subsidizing Wal Mart stores that are having problems staying afloat. Wal Mart has shut down so many small home town stores that there would be nowhere else to buy groceries. |

First of all I want to commend you for staking your pro-life stand among Democrats. The Democratic Party has decisively ignored you for too long and continues to.You accused the Republican party of only caring about the rich, upper class, particularly in regards to taxes. In the year 2005 my wife and I made around $45,000. We received checks in the mail from the IRS three times due to Bush's tax cuts for the "upper class". It totaled up to around $1500. We used this to go on vacation, which we other wise could not have afforded. The newly elected Democratic controlled Congress intends to close these loop holes that we rich people are using to get tax breaks. They have no plans to extending Bush's tax cuts. This means that I will have to find a better job to pay for my children's Christian schooling. Since the liberals have taken over the public education system with the homosexual agenda, the sexual revolution, revision of history, usurping our children's Christian freedom (speeches, prayer, etc) and even want to deny me my own educational tax dollars to help pay for it. Clinton and the rest of these high dollar liberals can afford to pay for private schools, but want to deny it to me, because I'm wealthy, making a whopping $45,000 annually supporting 3 children. |

Alright "gwb..." I think that your lack of serious and meaningful conversation is quite beyond yourself, at least here on the boards. Anybody can construct quick witted nasties. Let me here the facts!!! Off with the lame cuke theories that have no more support than Joseph Smith's golden tablets. You need to get back to the Bible man! It is all so really plain and simple you see. You don't need to buy the Bible code software to decode hidden messages, it is all right there in black and white. The Bible does not say that we should automatically presume suspicion on everyone we meet.I Corinthians 13:4-7, Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 13. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. I wonder how you would have responded to Jesus had you lived in His day. Would you've considered Him a false prophet from the East? Perhaps a propigator of Eastern religion? A cynic sage who learning the impossibility of His political coop, opted for martyrdom to seize history? LOL! |

Any serious scholar and historian would reject Jack Chick's revisionist history out of hand. I use to love to read Chick tracts and I dare say that I have probably passed out more than any other person who has posted here. I would literally spend my last quarter on Chick tracts. Over the years of study and research I have learned a thing or two, not even close to everything, but a thing or two. A common sense look at history tells us that the Catholic Church is no more responsible for every thing bad in the world, than the devil is responsible for every thing bad that happens to us. I'm sure that Chick probably thinks that the the devil was a member of the Church of Rome when he was in heaven and that is why God gave him the boot. Get real! “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” (1Cor 13:11). Gnosticism was an early cult that mislead many Christians. There are some similarities found in the "secret knowledge" of the special elite Christians who pride their self as the higher echelon believers and the only ones who know the truth. What truth? Not the simple Gospel truth, but rather the hidden codes that are in the daily newspapers and fangled web sights. |
