This is off topic, but I have lately gotten the error, "Unable to reach specified URL" Has anyone gotten this? I am wondering if it's trying to open a browser outside of the app. My covenant eyes browser might be prohibiting that.
I haven't known any Christians that have thought as Al is concerned about, but he probably has. Everyone has besetting sins they struggle with. Some its gluttony and others its sexual lust, et.
I agree with showing compassion and great patience with homosexuals. But does this mean tolerating continual, habitual sin? No. There should be in our own hearts a continual process of sanctification and a desire to be more and more holy. If not, we have every reason to question whether we have born again at all.
I also disagree with premise of the study. It's the wrong question. Homeschooling isn't the secret sauce for making kids into Christians. That's a sovereign work of Almighty God through the preaching of the gospel.
That said, drowning kids in an ocean of atheistic secular humanism from their infancy to young adulthood seems to me to be the height of irresponsibility and an absolute ignorance of God's use of means.
Psalm 50:16-17 But to the wicked God says: What right have you to declare My statutes, or take My covenant in your mouth, seeing you hate instruction and cast my words behind you?
It's sad to me to see this happen. To have mob in front of your home threatening you and your whole family with no way to protect yourself or your family. It would be tough to face the mob who were so filled with rage and demons that they drug their false god out to the man's home along with him who had fled, to force him to worship demons.
May the Lord give strength to those called by the Name of Jesus to stand against such pressures and to be faithful, even to death, if it is the Lord's will.
Debating Kim's particular understanding of the Christian faith isn't the issue here. If she were an evangelical or Protestant and took the firm stand she has taken the results would be the same - prison. She isn't on trial for the Trinity, but rather for righteousness.
Therefore her cause in that regard is our own. If this government believes it can imprison its citizens against their moral convictions that do no harm to others and are in agreement with Holy Scripture then indeed we are under tyranny. We must all object.
If that was a Roman Catholic being persecuted for praying the rosary I would defend him or her. Why? Because as much as the rosary is idolatry men should have the liberty to practice religion according to freedom of conscience.
What the state of Kentucky is doing amounts to religious persecution in the name of a secular morality which is itself immoral. No one has to obey this or any other government that legislates pervisity. But we may be called to suffer for righteousness.
This is the place that was infested with stink bugs and other insects just prior to launch of the event. Obviously the Lord sent this and the use of stink bugs does seem to send a message.
