But let's be clear, Catholic does NOT equal Christian.
I was one so I can make that assertion with absolute confidence. It is by faith alone, in Christ alone, by grace alone.
Protestantism in the main has lost its protest. Go by the Bible and put your trust in Christ alone, not in Mary, not in a man with a black outfit with a white collar, not in Mother Teresa. Do that my friends for all other ground is sinking sand.
Moreover, Christ alone is the head of the church and any true believing Christian is a saint.

All the pity party nonsense is annoying. Since I've been on this forum Dolores has played on emotions and has always played the woest me card. She has shown that she doesn't care if she errs. She loves her ears to be tickled and doesn't want to be told she is wrong. I say let her be. Correct a statement if you must but end it there. Don't get caught up in her emotional games. Manipulation is not a trait of a godly woman. :\
Well said, and wise counsel, sister.

I took a look at those on Amazon. I don't get it. Why put Pennys in them?
Embellishments
Why do people in this culture dye their hair to look like Bozo the clown, wear their trousers around their knees , hats backward, tatoo's, bodies full of piercings....embellishments.
----
So pennies in the tops of the shoes is fairly mild...at least we didn't have them pierced into our noses..

What an odd thing to do. I figured the shoes cost a penny or were sold by JC Penny, and named penny loafers.

Men now a days wear pink and orange $200.00 sneakers..what an odd thing to do..

This thread took a turn for the worse.
Its taken for granted that Lewis is a hero if the faith by most Christians today, but if he is not that which he is esteemed to be, shouldn't we say something?
GS,
When you returned on this site, remember I told you about the nattering and slander...
Well you can see it today in all it's finery.

Well, mock if you must...some of us who actually care about what we hear, read, and what is being taught from the 21 century pulpits, Sunday Schools, Christian academy's to our children and grandchildren are mighty glad that there are 'heresy hunters' so called, to warn the little flock.

Well said GS.
I too would ask Dolores to do some research before she gets into attack mode on those of us who have done the research!

Pictures, images, paintings etc. help not in the saving of souls.
Looking at such tells one nothing.
It does not speak of righteousness, temperance, and judgement to come, only the Word of God does that. And it is the Word of God that has been given us to tell the story of salvation through the blood of Christ....not through the foolishness of pictures or images are sinners converted but through the foolishness of preaching!

"If we say we are God's children let us strive to live worthy of the family to which we belong.
Let us labour to do nothing that may cause our Father's house to be spoken against.
Let us endeavour to make our Master's name beautiful by our disposition, conduct and conversation.
Let us love as brethren, and abhor all quarrels .
Let us behave as if the honour of 'the family' depended on our behaviour.
So living, by the grace of God, we will recommend our Father's family to others, and perhaps by God's blessing induce them to say,'we will go with you'.
