Seaton sez: "Alive IN Christ happens now, Halleluiah!!!

Rom 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, "we shall" is future. And there is the matter of that little word "if" -- IF WE BE DEAD WITH CHRIST.
Is it that you have a reading disability, or an honesty disability? Which is it?
"You think you can hide your identity from the authorities just by not using your real name?"
The feds have the technology to find out anything they want, but I don't need or want to advertise my name. A moving target is less likely to get hit than one that stands five feet away with a bullseye painted on their chest.
Anyway, it's my business, so what do you care? Why does anybody care what my moniker is or isn't? I want my privacy, my anonymity, so leave it at that. Is that so hard?
Only malevolent bullies with murder in their heart would try to keep exposing my real name considering the things I post here.
Mock me all you want, but stop trying to out me. It is pure evil to disrespect my privacy in these days we live in and I'm dumbfounded at the malevolent spirit of the many people who try to out me, and I hope instead it's all of you who fall into the pit you've tried to dig for me.
I'm angry about it, don't understand how people could be so wicked. I've put it in God's hands.
JD Smithstein has been arguing for months that "for God so loved the world" means God loves everyone, all the people in the world.
Now JD claims God only loves the Jews, only came for the Jews, only wrote the Bible for the Jews, and on Judgment Day the only thing that will matter is how we dogs treated the Jews or, worse yet, what country we dogs live in whether the government decided to send money to Israel and join in their side to wage World War III, to help them build their temple and establish their phony messiah Antichrist. If you live in the wrong country that didn't treat the Jews right, you automatically go to Hell for the decisions your government made.
What was the use of all those months of lectures on the meaning of "World." Were you serious then or are you serious now? Or were you never serious, just treating the Bible like a parlor game?
Bible says, He came unto his own and his own received him not, but to all who received him gave he power to become the sons of God, even to those who believe on his name.
SB sez: "All thru the Bible God's gift of salvation is described as a present tense possession. If it can be lost, then it is not eternal. If sin causes a person to lose it, how much sin does it take?"
Eternal life is eternal life.
We don't enter into this state until we die, and the Bible makes it plain that our faith is tried and tested until that day, and that we can indeed wither on the vine and be broken off, that we can quickly turn to another gospel, that the Word can be stolen away in a split second by Satan's lies (per first example of the Parable of the Sower), that a believer can wither under persecution, and that a once-fruitful Christian can go dry by the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches.
It's not a matter of how much sin. It's a matter of abiding in the vine, repenting from sin, to walk in the spirit to not fulfil the lusts of the flesh.
Jesus said, Why call me Lord, Lord and not do as I say?
Salvation is not a one-time flash of faith. It is very possible to lose our salvation. The angels who lost their first estate did, so did Adam and Eve, Solomon, Saul, Judas, the foolish widows, the five foolish betrothed virgins, the lazy servant, the backslidden servant, Demas, Hymaneus and Alexander and others.
Hop, I'm not putting my name up here. This is 2007, and we are in the Tribulation, and Homeland Security is compiling lists of people to "disappear" within the next few years. Anybody who uses their real name here is foolhardy.
All the "smart" people on here who think they can "out" me show how vicious they are in their intent toward me, when I have said repeatedly I value my anonymity very much.
But Jesus said, the measure you mete shall be meted out to you, blessed are the merciful for they shall find mercy.
In other words, what goes around, comes around. God will look after me, and those who hate me and try to hurt me here, God sees and doesn't like it one bit.
Where are Christian men with guardian spirits on this forum? It's disgusting, the cowardly and brutish behavior I see here. I really don't like most of the people who post here, who I find not honest, not thoughtful, without courage and integrity, and who try to get me off the forum by trying to out me. JD and his "friends" communicate privately to get me off by using dirty tricks.
Hop, I hope you don't stay in the Catholic church, not that there's much of an alternative. Everything is corrupt no matter where you turn.
Norm, did you catch the lovely dialog with JD about his claim that all people who live in countries that don't support the Jews are going to go to Hell?
Or Cindy's claim that a new, unsanctified Christian is somehow made perfect forever at the moment of conversion?
Or people who don't believe in OSAS are to be pitied? I guess you go to Hell if you don't believe in the OSAS "gospel."
Or Michael H's claim that he's saved but Hopalong isn't, but doesn't have any particular reason for what he says.
Then there's the usual stuff about how being a do-nothing blob of jello is a virtue and anything else means you're a RC.
That's it for me. I'm not here to engage in pleasant chitchat, although I would prefer not to have to respond to such horrid stuff people post up here.
Cindy, you are the one who came on here all in a huff, saying you pitied me because I don't believe in your OSAS heresy, and who twisted the Scriptures in Hebrews to try to prove your heresy.
The Bible says to contend for the faith, and that's what I'm doing. It says to have nothing to do with the works of darkness, but rather to expose and reprove them, and that's also what I'm doing.
You are the one who is contentious because you were wrong from the start, and you were shown that plainly, and instead of just admitting you were wrong, you have been back and back and back, using JD's dirty tricks to try to make it seem like it is you and not me who twisted the scriptures in Hebrews, by rephrasing what everybody already knows the Bible says, but who you were obviously way off the mark in your own understanding when you first misquoted what Hebrews says.
Come on. A little honesty is to be expected from Christians, and I don't see much coming from you, FRANKLY!
cindy, glad to see you read Hebrews and finally got it straightened out what God said and didn't say.
Did you read the Words in Red in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, also in Acts, and what God says in Revelation about being an overcomer?
Do you still think God requires nothing of Christians but a one-time sinner's prayer and then you're "good to go?" If you take the mark or deny Jesus, you still think you're all set? You can sit back and bask in your salvation, mock people who fear God and who admit they are "working out their own salvation with fear and trembling?"
You pity people who don't believe in OSAS. Why? If the angels lost their salvation, Adam and Eve lost theirs, Judas, Solomon, Saul, the first three examples in the Parable of the Sower, the lazy servant, the backslidden servant, Demas, Alexander and Hymenaus, the foolish widows, the five foolish betrothed virgins -- what makes you think you are special and can't lose yours?
Hey Cindy, Spare the lecture that Jesus died once for all, and that his blood is perfect and sufficient sacrifice for sin. I am the one who pointed that out to YOU, so stop pulling a "JD" here.
You tried to twist that teaching in Hebrews to justify your OSAS heresy, that if Jesus died once, you only needed to repent and come to Him once.
Just like the people in the OT had to keep going back to be cleansed, so do Christians. Jesus' sacrifice is all-sufficient, but the blood of Jesus must be applied repeatedly, not just once. When we come to Jesus for salvation, our PAST sins are forgiven, not our future ones. Even past sins already forgiven can be "unforgiven" -- as Jesus taught in the story about the man who refused to forgive his debtor.
The Holy Spirit, which is our seal, can be quenched, grieved and insulted away, as Jesus taught when he said to abide in the vine lest we dry up and be broken off.
There's nothing wrong with saying you misread, misunderstood and misapplied the scripture, which is what you in fact did when you said a new Christian is perfected forever.
When Jesus said, "It is finished," he meant his sacrifice was done for all time, not that your salvation was sealed soon as you had one burst of faith.
Abigail, some of the people on this forum are not worth posting with, in case you haven't noticed. They just want to argue from a party spirit and have no interest in what's true or not true.
And was I not correct in telling you that the day would soon come when you would be chastised for posting here at all as a woman?
Did I give you wrong advice when I posted as Peanut Gallery (before Yamil bluelocked the moniker)?
You can see what kind of heart so many have on this forum -- smug complacency, no compassion or mercy, no love for or searching for the truth, murder in their hearts for people who have done them no harm, no fear of God, and so much pride they refuse to take 10 minutes to get properly baptized.
"You guys don't like each other much. Why pretend there is something Scriptural involved in the animosity?"
You are half right. I don't like JD AT ALL. I also don't like you either and I told you that before.
The second part, about pretending there's something scriptural involved in the animosity -- that's the part where you are wrong.
When people discuss the Bible, it reveals their inner spirit and heart, and what I see I don't like, a black heart of idolatry to the Jews and hatred toward everyone else, of hatred towards God's Word with a compulsion to nullify it with doctrines of devils (ie Dispensationalism), a hatred of women, a treating of the Bible like a parlor game. I actually get a sense of a very malevolent, dark and nasty spirit from JD's postings.
Walt used to say he is demon-possessed, and I have no doubt Walt was right about that!
JD, I had this same discussion with you before, that God doesn't judge people to Hell just because they happen to be born in one part of the world.
Now here you are back again promoting the same heresy, and the word "heresy" doesn't even describe what you espouse.
It's not that you're too stupid to understand what you promote because I already hashed this out with you a couple years ago. You well know what you are saying.
You truly believe every person who belongs to a country that doesn't give money to Israel or help them fight WWIII, to build their temple and institute their false messiah in it is going to go to Hell, even though this contradicts every other scripture in the Bible.
You are a wicked, wicked man. You probably already are a Talmudic/Cabalistic Jew, and are here just to disrupt this forum and spread your hatred of God's Word by way of your Hyper Dispensationalism, which does nothing more than nullify almost every word of the Bible so you can reinterpret any word you want to make it say whatever you want, even if it contradicts the entire rest of Scripture.
You need to move to Israel and get off this forum. You have nothing constructive to contribute whatever and will probably end up a guard in a FEMA camp.
Michael H sez: "FYI I am neither a Calvinist nor an Arminian and I would not call myself a Dispensationalist nor a Protestant. Your belief (or fear) that Christ would somehow loose one He has saved raises serious questions about just where you are coming from."
The word is "lose," not "loose" -- as in Loose Change.
OSAS is a flaming heresy, that's where I'm coming from. OSAS =s antinomianism =s HELL.
At least Calvinists believe there's evidence of persevering, which takes them out of the league of total antinomianism that OSAS proponents subscribe to.
You've abandoned the pure gospel once delivered, and to you OSAS is the gospel.
I asked you why you think you're saved and Hoppy not, and your only answer is that you're not a Catholic?
Just as the first example in the Parable of the Sower, you believe many heresies, and seem to have substituted a belief in antinomian OSAS for a belief in Jesus.
You're also an Israel-firster, probably a pretrib rapturist, and who knows what other heresies you believe, probably way more than Hopalong does and hopefully ever will.
Delearney sez: "Ref verse John 10:27 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" Your assumption is that the qualification for being "my sheep" is human ability or works - (to hear). Qualification to "my sheep" in Scripture is election. This is a predestinated fact as per Eph 1:4/5.
Thus the sheep of Jesus can hear by grace alone and the Holy Spirit alone through the gift of Faith alone. Not by human works."
'Scuse me, Mr. Delearney, but both to hear and to follow takes human will, sacrifice and courage on your part. God won't be wafting you around like you're a puppet on a string for his amusement. To "hear" means to listen and obey, and to "follow" means you decide to walk with Jesus, go where he goes, do what he says.
God's part is to speak and to lead. Your part is to listen and to follow. God won't do your part for you, and you can't do God's part. God will give you what you need to carry out his commands once you step up to the plate, even make you a superman of sorts like my friend who is an experienced "walker with Jesus." But you sound more like jello sucking their thumb in the corner than somebody ready to take on superhuman ability of God.
No problem, Mr. Smithstein.
"The text is clear. N-A-T-I-O-N-S are judged in the text. The only criteria for the judgement is how they treated Christ's "brethren", who are Jews, in the tribulation. This determines if they will enter the kingdom rest, the sabbath of God."
Ah, yes. Here we have JD literally worshipping at the feet of the Jews, espousing doctrines of devils again in the process.
JD thinks the Bible was written for the Jews, which is why he thinks almost all of it doesn't apply to Christians -- maybe a few short epistles by Paul.
JD thinks that even Judgment Day is all about the Jews and how "we treated them." Not if we believe in Jesus, or if we followed Jesus, but how we treated the Jews, how much we believed in and followed the Jews.
We must support the building of their infernal temple, per Hagee and the rest of the Israel Firsters, help to bring on WWIII and the New World Order, the worship of their false Messiah.
.......
JD, there is not one single thing stopping you from becoming a Jew. You may as well be a Jew, since you obviously prefer Jews to Christians.
Change your name from Smith to Goldstein, go see the rabbi, and get yourself a yarmulke, a Talmud, a Kabala and go for it. You'll be in your glory and wonder why you took so long to do it.
Delearney, you said: "Oh, and Abigail - Are we still allowed to accept this promise?"
"John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:..."
Notice Jesus said his sheep
HEAR his voice
and
FOLLOW Him.
Sounds like conditional salvation to me, meaning if we don't hear his voice and don't follow Him, it means we are not saved, and we need to examine ourselves to see if we be in the faith, and to seek Him while he may still be found, and to "work out our own salvation with fear and trembling."
All these smug people trusting in man-made doctrines nowhere found in the Bible, or wrested and twisted and contorted from isolated scripture --
How could anyone be so nonchalant regarding the future of their own soul, to take the word of the world's idea of salvation, to prefer these big churches with all their trappings to God's Word, to ignore the Words in Red in favor of some lemming pastor who went to a seminary infiltrated by Jesuits and Satanists?
Why do so many mindlessly embrace doctrines of devils, ear-tickling myths and fables that are clearly and sternly contradicted by the Bible and especially by the Words in Red?
Michael H, I'm still waiting to hear why you think you are saved and Hoppy isn't.
I'm not a Catholic, never have been, and I hate Catholicism. What does the Catholic church and purgatory and all that have to do with your claims that Hoppy isn't saved and you are anyway?
But speaking of the Catholics, didn't Jesus say that you can't patch an old wineskin with a new patch because it will rip and the new wine (ie Holy Spirit) will all run out?
So how can you take something rotten like the Catholic church and "reform" it and expect to get anything else but something else that's just as rotten, maybe worse, just different.
Your Calvinist beliefs came from Augustine, a Catholic monk who was a student of Plato. Plato as you know was completely pagan.
You congratulate yourself that you've arrived, but I don't see where the Bible teaches that anybody has "arrived" until the journey is over, and yours isn't yet, nor are all your future sins automatically forgiven, nor are your past ones that are forgiven cut in stone because God can "take back" even that forgiveness already given, as Jesus explained in the parable about forgiveness.
So what makes you think you're saved and Hoppy isn't?
Susan, "believeth" is a present tense verb.
It doesn't say, he who believed on me 20 years ago, or a week ago, or whenever it was. It says "believeth."
The Bible is full of instructions and warnings about how to abide in the vine, to stay true, to live for God. We are told to count the cost and not look back. It's not an easy-peasy thing, like somebody delivers you a Fed Ex package, and if you accept it and open it, it's yours, but if you let it lay on the step it isn't. It's not over 'til it's over. The third example in the Parable of the Sower was ONCE FRUITFUL, but dried up because of the deceitfulness of riches and the cares of this life, LOST his salvation.
Salvation is conditional, and this is spelled out over and over again. Yes, Jesus takes us as we are, but once we open up that door and invite him in, he owns us, we are bought with a price, and we are not our own any more. If we quench, grieve and insult the Holy Spirit (our seal) away, we have no seal to the day of redemption, and we've shipwrecked our faith.
Salvation is not cheap, requires everything we have, and it's not at all like opening up a birthday card and hanging it on the refrigerator, going to church to memorize convoluted dry doctrine about OSAS to convince ourselves we're save
