Some of you dislike the Democratic Party, You connect the 19th century party with the 20th century party. What you really dislike is the Southern branch of that party. You rant and rave about the South. I never hear a word About the Union League, or Reconstruction, The KKK stood against the murdering Union League.its always about the Evil South. Some of you accuse us of manstealing. Some say Southern slavery was not Biblical. You pick and chose what you want to believe, the only thing you really care about is jumping on the South so you can feel good about yourself. You hate the Battle flag because those good men Fought against invaders. In the 1960's the North forced Integration on us, In the 90's it was sodomite marriage. You say the Confederates were on the wrong side of history. you say sharecropping was to keep the Blacks down one of my Grandfathers was a sharecroper,He was white, his father was a confederate. You really need to know the truth God said "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." So you can jump on me some more.

Slavery is not a sin. Have any of you read the Bible? Read in Genesis chapter 9, God established slavery as a punishment for sin. God gave laws to slaves and slave owners. You people that call slavery a sin, need to study the 9th Commandment. As for the Englishman You really don't know American History.

The first mention of slavery in scripture is Gen. 9:25, Here God cursed Canaan to be a slave of slaves.
Christopher Got created slavery to punish
sin.
Kev In lev. 25:44-46 God says, 44,Both thy bondmen (slave) and bondmaids which thy shalt have shalt be of the heathen... of them you shall buy...
45 Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you you shall buy... they shall be your possession.
46 And you shall take them as an inheritance for you children after you, to inherit them for a possession.

Kev, I do understand slavery. Its clear that you are making a private interpretation of Scripture You argue that Ladybug is very knowledgeable of scripture. I use scripture to argue my case, not just the one that say what I want them to say. You say I am not under the law. You are right I am not under the law for judgment, but for righteous sake. You are really hung up on blacks, Don,t you know that God is no respecter of men. Do you also not know that God said the servant is not above the master. You are right I do not see equality. Equality is a man conceived notion. Again you are right, there is no reason not to know the Bible. What is your excuse?

I did not even mention the flood where god destroyed the world because of sin.
Gal. 3:28 refers to justification, none of mans differences matter as they stand before god. With respect to their salvation all who have on Jesus Christ are all one in Christ Jesus. There are still men and women, black and white.
In Acts Cornelius is a slave owner, is he a manstealer? Acts 10:28 Peter receives a vision from God to go to Cornelius a slave owning Gentile. jews by their law were forbidden to associate with gentiles. God did not create equality between men.

Ladybug,That was quite a little love fit you just threw. God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, everything, not just the people. God put the Northern tribes of Israel in bondage, that nation ceased to be. You do not like my comments because I do not agree with all that you say. But what you are really mad about is that Blacks were enslaved. Most all blacks brought to North America were slaves long before they came here. Lady bug they were just the most recent. I if I tell you the Truth, am I your enemy. You say that I am. I don't see much love in you

Ladybug, You say God does not hold different regions accountable. How do you explain Sodom and Gomorrah, Ten Northern Tribes of Israel, The Tribe of Judah?
As for the rest of your comment, you would do well to study the Bible first hand Start in Genesis. You might learn the entire truth.

EXTOR'TION, n. The act of extorting; the act or practice of wresting any thing from a person by force, duress, menaces, authority,or by any undue exercise of power; illegal exaction; illegal compulsion to pay money, or to do some other act. Extortion is an offense punishable at common law.
1. Force or illegal compulsion by which any thing is taken from a person.
1 Corinthians 6:10
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor EXTORTIONERS, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
So if I took your family into slavery at gun point there is nothing wrong with that?

Slaves in biblical times sold themselves into slavery and were treated decent, do you think these forms of slavery were the same?
Was it a sin for pharaoh to enslave the Jews?
kev, you to educate yourself in scripture, you know very little. Your last remark about pharaoh and the jews demonstrate this. The entire tribe of Israel was in bondage and they were not all jews. If you would in Gen. 15 how God told Abram (also not a jew) Israel would be slaves in Egypt. As for slaves in biblical times, some sold themselves in to slavery, some did not. see Leviticus 25:44-46. You like so many other people want to convict the South of terrible sins.

To sin is to break the Law of God. Slavery does not break that law. In todays American we are told it is a great sin, this is done to create hate between people to make them feel guilt so they can be controlled. Those that spread this lie are breaking the 9th commandment- Thou shalt no bear false witness.

SA, picked an interesting article from Christianity Today. Not only people in the old Confederacy should read it, but we who we're not part of that tradition and even hostile to it should read it also. Southern Baptists have been working hard too separate themselves from the past and this article on the one I mentioned below are interesting in pointing that out.

There is no one alive from the Old Confederacy Lincoln. We southerners separated from people like you because of your self-righteous attitude. The SBC is now controlled by men who have no belief in Jesus Christ. They are much like you, show boats.

Both Graham and Moore Push Marxist doctrine. Christians need to study the entire scripture, before they accept anything these two men say. They always preach race and immigration. In the 1920's the Frankfurt School in Germany developed a number of ideas to advance Marxist Doctrine on the United States. one was the creation of racism offences. Continual change to create confusion. Teach sex and homosexuality. Huge immigration to destroy identity. Study these men and what they push compare it to Gods word.

These denominations have long since thrown God out. They worship another god. They will not have God fearing men in their presents. The South and its people have long been hated for their worship of God.

Certainly better replacements for the statues of Lee and Beauregard.
How is it that you want to replace statues of Christian men with those of thieves and worse?

“ It boils down to the fear of having to suffer.. ”
If our fears were to become realities, they would all cause some form of suffering--injury, pain, illness, starvation, exposure, homelessness, isolation, etc. And in my opinion it is having to live through this suffering that we dread the most.
