For me the problem with Romney is not that he is a Mormon, but because he is a liberal Mormon. I have too many problems with his voting record. Glenn Beck is a Mormon and I would consider voting for him if he ran. Mitt on the other hand, well lets allow him to speak for himself.http://massresistance.org/romney/ Mitt Romney debated against Ted Kennedy over which of them was more liberal, Mitt: "I believe that abortion should be safe and legal in this country. I have since the time my mom took that position when she ran in 1970 as a US senate candidate ...and you will not see me wavering on that" Mitt's mom ran as a pro-choice Republican in 1970. Regarding Boy Scouts excluding homosexual members: "I support the right of the Boy Scouts of America to decide what it wants to do on that issue. I feel that all people should be allowed to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation." ?????????????????????????? "I am not trying to return to Reagan-Bush." -Romney, Fanueil Hall debate 1994 Watch him for yourself at: http://massresistance.org/docs/marriage/romney/kennedy_video.html |

Christian Raas wrote: I would be much more concerned if a Jesuit school was moving into town. At least the witches do not pretend to be Christians. Their are pleanty of Protestant denominations who lean towards Wiccan beliefs. Catholics have their problems, but they aren't the only ones. Actually I live less than 20 miles from Hoopeston and these witches haven't really even made the news here locally. Neither have I noticed any more of a spiritual warfare here. Our big problem is gang warfare. Since the big wigs have been closing down the government housing in Chicago and East St Louis, they have been spreading the people around the state. Danville has taken a big hit, considering the lack of employers in the first place. These gangs and thugs need Jesus. The problem is there are very few people who are trying to reach out to these guys. They need a wholistic Gospel. They need guidance and mentoring, spiritually as well as how to become employable, responsible, etc. I wonder how many of the Christian reading this sit at home on their computer all day, without ever engaging the world around them, in evangelism, discipleship and reaching out to the poor and the outcast, the widow and the orphans. |

GG wrote: The Americans on this site are missing the importance of this news item. Our Navy is busy fighting WWII and Carrier warfare, and China just announced that, "Hello...this is 2007!". Do you understand that the US is probably in decline and China is in it's ascendancy. That sooner or later, we two nations are going to confront each other (it's happening already) in battle. Either you young men, or your children are going to meet Chinese men in combat...do you really want to come in a distant second? Nero fiddled while Rome burned. |

Susan Miller wrote: in response to the point blank question "Is homosexuality sin?" Ron Paul stated: "it is too complex to give an answer as simple as that..." Ron Paul later stated "for every homosexual problem we have a heterosexual problem..." and he stated "we are all imperfect and we all sin." Ron Paul dodges the issue. He also has stated that he will not support a federal marriage amendment that protects marriage. Huckabee has been sensitive and very clear and concise on these issues. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=huckabee Check out the election quiz, see who it turns up: http://www.wqad.com/Global/link.asp?L=259460 |

mike wrote: No serious Nazi would support Ron Paul. I guess you have not taken a look at the thread postings on the web sight that I gave elsewhere. Yes, these are most definitely Nazis. You can clearly see Ron Paul's official add right now at the bottom of the page: http://www.stormfront.org/forum/ Here is one of the threads supporting him to make it real easy for you: http://www.stormfront.org/forum/showthread.php/we-going-vote-434804.htmlAntiVaticanistAmerican says "A) RON PAUL is A Spiritual-Psychological-Physical Threat to The Kingdom of Satan & Darkness." This must be why Ron Paul condones any relationship, including homosexuality: "I am supportive of all voluntary associations and people can call it whatever they want." -Ron Paul http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCM_wQy4YVg Huckabee is very clearly pro-life, pro-traditional marriage and he is not a Mason for those of you who indulge in the conspiracy theories. He is even a Creationist. Browse around on U-Tube to hear him for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Huckabee&search=Search |

It seems trifle to bring up the fact that Reformed Theology is not the infallible Word of God and that it is but an interpretation. It seems that some tend to overlook that minor detail. The Westminster Confession is often esteemed equal to Scripture. I come from the Pentecostal tradition. I attended Assembly of God Churches most of my life. I hold the perspective that any and all of my views may be put under evaluation in light of Scripture, notwithstanding tradition. One quick clarifying point is that A/G, the largest Pentecostal and fastest growing church in the world, does not believe that a person goes in and out of salvation like one changes his shirt. It is a matter of turning ones back on God and becoming apostate. Reformers would just say that the person was never saved. I think this is without warrant. I have yet to see one strong Scripture that has caused me to take a second look at eternal security. The entire doctrine is based on a philosophical deduction of the Sovereignty of God, not Scripture. While I do recognize divine election, I think it is abused and misapplied, creating confusion on the part of those who have not tasted of the Lord's goodness. Seems to me Divine election reveals the awesomeness of Almighty God, not whether or not we are saved. |

Rob wrote: Vote Ron Paul. Put the first honest man in the White House for over 100 years. Come on Rob, Ron Paul is in deep with white-supremacists. He wrote a prominent column in the American Free Press for years. He receives campaign contributions from Stormfront. He is not an ally of Israel. He stone-walled when asked if he thought the US brought the 9-11 attack upon itself. He wants to ignore Osama like Bill Clinton did, even though he declared war on the US. These Muslims want to set up the world for the next great Imam. America needs to be cleansed of Christianity and democratic liberties as well as pay for its crimes of supporting Israel and religious freedom in the Middle East.Huckabee and Hunter seem to be much more viable candidates. By the way Huckabee is not a Mason. http://www.wqad.com/Global/link.asp?L=259460 Paul opposes all federal efforts to redefine marriage, whether defined as a union between one man and one woman, or defined as including anything else as well. Paul voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment in 2004. When asked if he was supportive of gay marriage Paul responded "I am supportive of all voluntary associations and people can call it whatever they want." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCM_wQy4YVg |

kenny wrote: Unless I learn something about him that I don't already know, Ron Paul is the only candidate that I could possibly vote for. Ron Paul advertises on stormfront.org, a white-racist Nazi organization. He also received contributions from Don Black, the founder, owner and operator of Stormfront, http://lonestartimes.com/2007/10/25/rpb1/Ron Paul wants us to turn back the clocks pre-9/11 and ignore Osama's declaration of war by putting the whole thing in the hands of the local police departments. Get real!!! The US sidelined Osama for too long. If Clinton would have taken him seriously the World Trade Center would likely still be standing today. It has been said that not only is Paul anti-war but he is also anti-Israel. Of course this would coincide with the Nazi support that he is receiving. Paul has yet to denounce his association and refund the contributions. Michael Medved has recently posted an open letter to Ron Paul asking if it was with his knowledge and approval that his columns appeared in the American Free Press (another white-supremacy organization) and whether or not he will disassociate himself from them. He was featured as their most prominent columnists for 4 years. Duncan Hunter Mike Huckabee Best choices! |
