I know Ron wants to take America back to its pre-9/11 days where America's national security is put in the hands of local law enforcement. Never mind that Bin Laden declared war on the US way back in the 90s. Don’t think about the fact that we would probably have him in custody if Clinton would have taken his threat seriously. Our local 'Barney 5' can take care of these organized and trained terrorists, no problem. Ron sounds like my kind of leader. LOL!

There are a lot of serious debates about the gold standard. First of all it is a lot trickier than just eliminating the Federal Reserve to move back to it. It is completely wrong to say that the US dollar is based on nothing. If it is completely based on nothing, inflation would literally be going through the roof - you thought $3.99 for a gallon of milk was high. I know there are a lot of speculations going on about our financial future, but remember it is just that - speculation.

For me the problem with Romney is not that he is a Mormon, but because he is a liberal Mormon. I have too many problems with his voting record. Glenn Beck is a Mormon and I would consider voting for him if he ran. Mitt on the other hand, well lets allow him to speak for himself.

http://massresistance.org/romney/

Mitt Romney debated against Ted Kennedy over which of them was more liberal,

Mitt:

"I believe that abortion should be safe and legal in this country. I have since the time my mom took that position when she ran in 1970 as a US senate candidate ...and you will not see me wavering on that" Mitt's mom ran as a pro-choice Republican in 1970.

Regarding Boy Scouts excluding homosexual members:
"I support the right of the Boy Scouts of America to decide what it wants to do on that issue. I feel that all people should be allowed to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation."
??????????????????????????

"I am not trying to return to Reagan-Bush."

-Romney, Fanueil Hall debate 1994

...And churches seem to be completely omitting the dangers of divorce and pre-marital sex, replacing it with a user friendly, sinner sensitive approach.

My wife and I listened to Focus on the Family religiously before our wedding. Anyone can get married, its staying married that is the trick, except its not a trick, its a committment, for better or worse. Marriage takes work, it is a rose garden, with the thornes. Usually the thorn in the side turns out to be pride.

The old addage comes to mind, an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.

There are those that believe that the rapture can occur on any given feast of trumpets, but which one, we'll never know!

This is in occordance to the Seven Feasts of The LORD in Leviticus.

Their are pleanty of Protestant denominations who lean towards Wiccan beliefs. Catholics have their problems, but they aren't the only ones.

Actually I live less than 20 miles from Hoopeston and these witches haven't really even made the news here locally. Neither have I noticed any more of a spiritual warfare here. Our big problem is gang warfare. Since the big wigs have been closing down the government housing in Chicago and East St Louis, they have been spreading the people around the state. Danville has taken a big hit, considering the lack of employers in the first place.

These gangs and thugs need Jesus. The problem is there are very few people who are trying to reach out to these guys. They need a wholistic Gospel. They need guidance and mentoring, spiritually as well as how to become employable, responsible, etc.

I wonder how many of the Christian reading this sit at home on their computer all day, without ever engaging the world around them, in evangelism, discipleship and reaching out to the poor and the outcast, the widow and the orphans.

Very, very good! Who wrote it? I'd like to read the rest of it, if you wouldn't mind posting it or the link. It reminds me of the pamphlets I use to get from Rare Christian Books, written by people such as AW Tozer, Leonard Ravebhill, etc.

My challenge, I still have yet to here a resonable answer to the challenge that I posted.

Eternal Security is merely a philosophical extension of divine election, rather than a Scriptural mandate. It can be found indirectly in passages that could be implying something else or by philosophical presumptions but nowhere does it outright state unconditional eternal security anywhere in Scripture. If I am wrong, reprove me.

Ron Paul dodges the issue. He also has stated that he will not support a federal marriage amendment that protects marriage.

Huckabee has been sensitive and very clear and concise on these issues.

Hello JP, I remember when I learned these verses and the great peace they brought to me. And, for that reason, I would like to share them with you.
Thank you very much for your Christian charity. This is not to be argumentative, because I do appreciate your thoughtfulness. What I actually am putting forward here is that there are no Scriptural references that specifically and directly propose unconditional eternal security. The only reference that I am aware of is pending on three prerequisites: 1) My sheep hear my voice, 2) I know them and 3) they follow me.

I do not think this means salvation is apart from grace. Once again, I do not personally subscribe to "now your saved-now your not" theology.

What I am submitting is that unconditional Eternal Security is merely a philosophical extension of divine election, rather than a Scriptural mandate. It can be found indirectly in passages that could be implying something else or by philosophical presumptions but nowhere does it outright state unconditional eternal security.

I guess you have not taken a look at the thread postings on the web sight that I gave elsewhere. Yes, these are most definitely Nazis. You can clearly see Ron Paul's official add right now at the bottom of the page: http://www.stormfront.org/forum/
Here is one of the threads supporting him to make it real easy for you:
http://www.stormfront.org/forum/showthread.php/we-going-vote-434804.html

AntiVaticanistAmerican says "A) RON PAUL is A Spiritual-Psychological-Physical Threat to The Kingdom of Satan & Darkness."

This must be why Ron Paul condones any relationship, including homosexuality: "I am supportive of all voluntary associations and people can call it whatever they want." -Ron Paul

Huckabee is very clearly pro-life, pro-traditional marriage and he is not a Mason for those of you who indulge in the conspiracy theories. He is even a Creationist. Browse around on U-Tube to hear him for yourself.

It seems trifle to bring up the fact that Reformed Theology is not the infallible Word of God and that it is but an interpretation. It seems that some tend to overlook that minor detail. The Westminster Confession is often esteemed equal to Scripture.

I come from the Pentecostal tradition. I attended Assembly of God Churches most of my life. I hold the perspective that any and all of my views may be put under evaluation in light of Scripture, notwithstanding tradition.

One quick clarifying point is that A/G, the largest Pentecostal and fastest growing church in the world, does not believe that a person goes in and out of salvation like one changes his shirt. It is a matter of turning ones back on God and becoming apostate. Reformers would just say that the person was never saved. I think this is without warrant.

I have yet to see one strong Scripture that has caused me to take a second look at eternal security. The entire doctrine is based on a philosophical deduction of the Sovereignty of God, not Scripture. While I do recognize divine election, I think it is abused and misapplied, creating confusion on the part of those who have not tasted of the Lord's goodness.

Seems to me Divine election reveals the awesomeness of Almighty God, not whether or not we are saved.

The emphasis on my post was not whether or not there are miracles today, but rather that this man is in a very sad state of affairs.

In response to your view of miracles, I will only say that God has not changed. Furthermore there are no Biblical references that clearly express the cessation of miracles, only conjecture. Miracles do occur today, from the simplistic forms of recovering from physical ailments to more spactacular miracles that are occurring right now in the rest of the world. J.P. Moreland who is a great Christian thinker has an interesting interview on www.str.org where describes the visions and dreams of Muslims. Numerous healings and other miracles seem to be much more frequent in other countries. Likely due to our lack of dependence on God here in the US.

Im about done here, I can tell you that.

To answer your first question, When asked if he was supportive of gay marriage Ron Paul responded "I am supportive of all voluntary associations and people can call it whatever they want." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCM_wQy4YVg

In response to your more important issue of Christian fellowship and may I add Christian charity. It was not my intention to upset you. I apologize if I came across too strong and mean spirited. There are a number of people here who seem to enjoy slamming each other, most are conspiracy buffs and isolationists. Although I've had my share of debates and I do enjoy a good debate, it was not my intention to discourage you from interacting here on Sermonaudio. I hope that you will feel welcome to post your thoughts and find some fellowship along the way.

Vote Ron Paul.
Put the first honest man in the White House for over 100 years.
Come on Rob, Ron Paul is in deep with white-supremacists. He wrote a prominent column in the American Free Press for years. He receives campaign contributions from Stormfront. He is not an ally of Israel. He stone-walled when asked if he thought the US brought the 9-11 attack upon itself. He wants to ignore Osama like Bill Clinton did, even though he declared war on the US. These Muslims want to set up the world for the next great Imam. America needs to be cleansed of Christianity and democratic liberties as well as pay for its crimes of supporting Israel and religious freedom in the Middle East.

Huckabee and Hunter seem to be much more viable candidates. By the way Huckabee is not a Mason.

http://www.wqad.com/Global/link.asp?L=259460

Paul opposes all federal efforts to redefine marriage, whether defined as a union between one man and one woman, or defined as including anything else as well. Paul voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment in 2004.

When asked if he was supportive of gay marriage Paul responded "I am supportive of all voluntary associations and people can call it whatever they want." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCM_wQy4YVg

Ron Paul advertises on stormfront.org, a white-racist Nazi organization. He also received contributions from Don Black, the founder, owner and operator of Stormfront, http://lonestartimes.com/2007/10/25/rpb1/

Ron Paul wants us to turn back the clocks pre-9/11 and ignore Osama's declaration of war by putting the whole thing in the hands of the local police departments. Get real!!! The US sidelined Osama for too long. If Clinton would have taken him seriously the World Trade Center would likely still be standing today.

It has been said that not only is Paul anti-war but he is also anti-Israel. Of course this would coincide with the Nazi support that he is receiving. Paul has yet to denounce his association and refund the contributions.

Michael Medved has recently posted an open letter to Ron Paul asking if it was with his knowledge and approval that his columns appeared in the American Free Press (another white-supremacy organization) and whether or not he will disassociate himself from them. He was featured as their most prominent columnists for 4 years.

[QUOTE]Rob C, I think it is preposterous to use Biblical morality to defend not paying taxes because it was not written into the constitution. This will only end up landing you in jail. Maybe you have heard of the famed Creationist, Kent Hovind. He took advice from a friend and decided not to pay taxes. Well he is spending the rest of this decade studying dinos in a jail cell, courtesy of our tax dollars.

Hated by the world, good sign
Ron Paul is pro-life, but not pro-marriage. He has crazy misconceptions about Bin Laden. He wants to send it back to local government which is exactly where we were before 9-11. Laden declared war on the US years ago and Clinton turned his head. Dr Robert Morey warned the US of the Islamic terror including at a cult conference in 1998 in Indianapolis.

If Ron is truly hated by the world he would not have the money to run.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

Recently people in the UK decided to take a look at the Christian conservative political action here in the US as motivation to stop the immoral legislation slide. They have a lot of catching up to do. Hopefully it is not too late to reverse some of these outlandish reverse discriminatory actions against the religion that made Britain great. I say that it is against Christianity itself, because it is exactly that.

This is the unfortunate working out of our schools sex education curriculum. For an example, check out this video that is used in public schools:

http://www.massresistance.org/media/video/brainwashing.html

With this kind of propaganda is there any wonder why young people are becoming more open to gays and against Christian government activism. We've been asleep at the wheel. It's time people take Josh McDowells words of advice and begin to develop relationships where the messenger is respected enough to be listened to, instead of regarded as a Christian bigot.

I just talked with a rancher today who is 80 years old and he is an avid atheist. Pray that God will get a hold of him, his name is Paul. I debated with him for a little while. He doesn't understand why there are not modern day miracles that he can see. He has been an atheist since he faught in WWII.
