“ Great Sermon! ”
After hearing all the negative commens about your sermon, I had to find and listen to it.I find your words to be accurate on the subject matter and only that some have taken only one statement, which is correct, out of text. This seems to be a favorite pastime of some, and they use these out of text to destroy the work of those that follow the scripture. I thankyou for delivering God's word as it is written, without adding text that is not in the scripture.. After listening I found only difference in our belief, that pertaining to food law. I read that we can eat "what was created to be recieved". This in my opinion, is between me and my maker...THANKYOU AGAIN FOR A GREAT AND TRUTHFUL SERMON

I liked this sermon enough that I found the website for Madison Baptist Church which has many more of Mike Allison's sermons. I really like the way he preaches.

Yet be it known unto thee, O king! we will NOT serve these gods, though they are thy gods, nor worship this golden image, though thou thyself hast set it up. Lord give us such courage, boldness and love of thee! Fear of man bringeth a snare.

John....you added the word 'Calvary' to Rev. 13:8, though the text does not so read.
That's adding to God's word.
So, by what you are saying here,
then both Lurker & June are also mis- reading and misunderstanding the text, and I do not think so.
Now My friend John.. on good advice of my Doctor who advised me to stop posting with you as he is concerned with all the bumps, scratches and scars on my head from hitting my head on the wall, the post light, the bike handlebars etc.
So with that in mind I will leave it to others to put you on a 'RIGHT ROAD' to understanding.
Perhaps "Lurker" who sides with June, who sides with me, who sides with Camping and others.
Oh . . and by the way, you deleted by saying that the [Lamb slain] in Rev. 13:8 was not there.
John, please ponder all that has been posted. Visit the sites that I suggested and study for a week or so. Let's call it:
"John goes to summer camp"
My Doctor is at the door.
Learn well my friend.

It was stated by the Dr. on the Camping debate on 1440 spirit of new york radio station... back last summer it is available to listen at family radio there were 2 days of debate not sure what day but find the link and listen it is quite shocking to hear what he the DR. said .
Now John can you tell us advise us who gave you the authority to add and delete words from the Bible ?

According to you then lets just say that a homosexual does not like to read that's what he does is a sin...then all he has to do is add the words ( not a )
sin...then he is good to go !
That's according to the BOOK of John /UK !
we all await your reply by whose authority do you add or take away words ?

John....you wrote as follows...
The Book of Life belongs to The Lamb (who was slain at Calvary). It is the Lamb's Book of Life.

John...the reading states "very clearly"
with no way to mis -understand.......
Rev 8 13 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the "Lamb SLAIN" from the foundation of the world.

There is no way that any reasonable thinking person can see the word Calvary !

John, by adding the word "Calvary" to this text you are now in violation of Rev 22:18

Don't you think that if GOD wanted it to say Calvary HE would have said Calvary.... by the way, your Google friend does not believe in the deity and preaches such !
And finally John, it reads what it reads, and you have no authority / no warrant, nor license to amend God's Word by adding to or taking away from it!
P.S. Who advised you that you could change God's Word by whim or caprice?

John...wrote...Observe these two verses, with my brackets inserted, and you will see the misunderstanding of the first verse:

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose *NAMES ARE NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE [of the Lamb slain] FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.*
Revelation 13:8 KJV

John I certainly hope that by putting as you say in brackets [of the Lamb slain] that this is not to be considered
are you in fact pretending that it is not there?if that be the case then it means that you are removing those words
which then means that you are in violation of Rev 22 : 19...19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

now I really must go !
hope this clears this up .

continued from my previous comment.....John ,had this not happened then how could Moses Able ,David and others in the old testament been saved ?The churches teach that when Christ died on the cross that HE paid both future and past sins
however no where in the BIBLE is this stated. So John we may not "understand' but we BELIEVE and ACCEPT simply because it is the WORD of GOD !John we can not "pick and choose " what verses we wish to believe and disregard others that for sure will put us on a path to destruction....many church's in these days teach a "do it yourself?salvation plan where they say ,I believe and I have been baptized and I have made a confession of faith etc.....they believe now that they are "saved".they want so desperately to have control and there are those who think that Christ is coming to earth for a 1000 year reign but the Bible does not teach that either.... but it is GOD who has to save them, and it is GOD who has to open their eyes and ears and not the church and for sure not themselves. To say it simply
"Study the Word" I really hope this has been of help !
see you at the Forum

rev 8 13 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the "Lamb SLAIN" from the foundation of the world.

John, Perhaps this will be of help in your understanding.because of space I will "paraphrase " where I can In GOD"S WORD he says the ....there are 3 persons but only 1 GOD
he also states that he "Spoke " and the world was in fact created along with the universe.
Then he states that HE chose the "ELECT" from before the foundations of the earth.and much more HE spoke ,Now John we do not understand any of this ...how could this be ???
But we accept it and we believe it correct ? why ? Because GOD said it and wrote it in a BOOK for us to read and since our mind is in no way equal to GOD'S we are unable to think it through and "FIGURE OUT JUST HOW DID HE DO ALL THESE THINGS But again we accept and believe in FAITH. we know it is TRUE because HE SAID IT ! and wrote it in the BIBLE ...now John let's add the statement that GOD said it and wrote it in HIS BOOK
the BIBLE that CHRIST was slain from before the foundations of the world...then let's add
Heb 9:22 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
to be continued....

Hi John...I have included a small portion (excerpts ) here for you & others to read also the link is included for the full text.
http://www.the-latter-rain.com/christ-suffered-twice.html
Christ Suffered Twice
How Was Christ Begotten?
God calls Christ His only begotten Son:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
The phrase “only begotten” comes from the Greek word monogenes, which is literally translated “only generated.” We know Christ is from eternity past so the idea that God created (or “generated”) Christ doesn’t square with the rest of the Bible. This is probably why the translators chose to use the word “begotten” instead of “generated.”
Christ would have had to have a beginning. We know His existence didn’t begin in 7 BC; that’s just when He took on a human nature.
“No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” (John 1:18)
So Why The Cross?
A logical question at this point is, “If Christ already made the payment before......

John, and I do hope you got some rest as we begin this day.Now to answer your statement ....Before The Foundation Of The World
please ponder these verses from the "WORD OF "GOD" not the words of any man

for it is written....

Before The Foundation Of The World

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” (Revelation 13:8)

Christ finished the work of paying for sins before this world was created:

“For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.” (Hebrews 4:3)

The believers’ inheritance was already prepared before this world was created:

“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world” (Matthew 25:34)

BTW ....in answer to your BTW,the question that you asked I did answer about 3 posts down below but I will copy it in again here.......Death is the only thing that can end a marriage, but once we become saved we receive eternal life so we will never die. Of course, neither will Christ ever die. In other words, the marriage between Christ and the true believer will never come to an end. This ties back into the fact that we cannot lose our salvation.
this is taught by ALL the sites that I have mentioned here at SA......the Bible states in Romans 9... [11] (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth Now for the record John not all church goers are or have ever been the elect of "GOD "
