I really don’t understand how people can be so deceived into following these people! Benny Hinn, Paula White, and others who are not following Christ. I can see how the AntiChrist will be able to deceive many that are not true born again, walking on the Calvary Road , saved by God’s Grace, Christians.

As my pastor has said about Joshua Harris , you can’t lose something you never had. Thing is the songs that he wrote is still being sung in our churches. I have my hymns that I love on cds and play them whenever.

I agree with sword of justice. And no matter what anyone says there will be those that just don’t see it and so you do what you have to do with your conscience. For you to carry a gun or use one in defense would cause you to sin because your faith is not able to allow you to do that. As for me I have nothing to stop me from going to a doctor because a disease has attacked my body. For instance cancer that will destroy me if I don’t use the knowledge that God has given a doctor to treat it with and save my life. I do what I have to do to live but have prayed before I do anything guided by Him. I was given the option by my Doctor to go to any place and I asked his opinion and he said Shreveport La. It was God’s answer for me and I was at peace with it. He was a gynecologist oncologist and a wonderful caring doctor that God used to get through it with surgery only. It was closer to home than the other places and faith plus that doctor’,nurses CRNA that put me to sleep helped me recover. I trust God to get me through and allow His will to be done. That was July 24, 2004. Back when I was a kid, my parents never locked their doors but as I grew older they began to lock their doors at night. From the study of American History in school during World War11 Franklin D Roosevelt was President and he had no intention of helping the Jews and their persecution but God did and so Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Why? No reason I can think of. Maybe, America being a Christian nation at that time or a fact that sinful people want power and wealth and get it even if innocent people are maimed and killed. Who knows the wicked mind and what Satan uses for his purposes. God used that incident to win a war brought on by an evil cruel dictator. Coincidence, I don’t think so. And by the way. Roosevelt was not in office when Israel was made an Independent State in 1948 or He would have voted against it.

Tim, have you seen the movie Sergeant York? It is the most moving movie I have ever watched and normally I don’t watch war movies.
It’s based on a true story about a man from the hills of Kentucky and how different he was after he was saved to the point he did not want to kill anyone so he filed as a conscientious objector when called up for duty during World War1. Anyway, he was given a history book of American History and how many lives were lost and blood shed to have the freedom we have today. Freedom is not free, it is. bought by the lives of those who served our country. He did go and God used him in a mighty way. A movie made of his life which in my eyes brought glory to God. A backwoods man became a hero and won many metals.
The church is a soft target and will be targeted more and more as times get worse because we are in a spiritual warfare.

Hi Dr Tim, I have to comment on this subject that kinda speaks to me about the shooting in the foot. First of all if you own a gun, and we do ( actually more than one, husband is a hunter) you better be prepared to use it. This is a true story even if it sounds unbelievable. We lived in this small town and had read that this single woman had someone break in on her and she had a gun but for some reason didn’t shoot the guy and he slit her throat killing her.
That same night or a few nights later he went across Red River to a smaller town (my husband was raised there) and broke in on this elderly man who also had a gun and shot the man dead. He’s still alive 2 years later and the woman is not and neither is her killer. We have police that go to our church and wears his gun for protection and his wife attends as well. Our son goes to another church and he is one of their security men. He has to have a certain type gun and he and the rest of our family have a concealed gun license permit. Went through training to get it. Not me but I do have one when he’s not home just in case. Just hope I never shoot myself in the foot literally!! lol

Amish Christian, I see you have one of the same beliefs as a Church of Christ neighbor has or had, she’s dead now. They don’t believe in music either for worship service.She was so good to me when I first moved in and a devout Christian woman., whom I loved dearly. Different but still the same. I don’t see the point in having a full band to sing music to and for gospel songs it can be a distraction from worship.

Need him, that quote from Spurgeon is exactly what happened to me when I was so backslide. I was so unhappy and miserable and couldn’t find my way back to God but He found me and brought me back. First thing I did was start back to church. I understand how important it is to stay focused on Him. The early Christians met in homes, hid in Catacombs, had meetings by the river. I am so thankful for my life in Him.

And to all the people including Christians, who want to understand everything about God and all the things that don’t make sense to you about the Bible so you try to change it to make more sense to you and your beliefs of how it should be, so because your finite mind can’t understand all the ways of God, you throw your hands up and cry Uncle.
I learned many lessons along my journey with God through the years, one being that God is good and He loves me. The hard places I go through, God

will be with me and will work it out for my good. It’s called walking by faith not sight.

I do wish his songs would disappear as well. They have no meaning, very repetitive and did I mention loud. A woman in our church and my SS class that has attended there for 45 years has started going to another church that has 2 services, one being traditional with the older songs sung and the choir wears choir robes. My friend and I have thought about joining her. lol

I am not one of them, I need the fellowship of the body of Christ as in Sunday School as well as worship service, weekly Bible Studies etc. It’s like coals keeping a fire going and if you remove one of the coals and set it aside away from the others, the fire lessens and it soon grows cold. As long as I am able I will attend church meetings. I learned that many years ago. Daily devotional and prayer and Christian fellowship.

Our Pastor recently preached a message about Judas. He was with them but wasn’t of them as a true disciple. He was a thief and stole money out of the money bag that was for the poor and other needs.
He brought up Joshua Harris and said that Joshua Harris did not lose something he never had. Jesus said, many will say in that Day, Lord Lord have I not done all these wonderful things in your name? Then Jesus said depart from me I never knew you.
As the end time grows nearer the Bible speaks of a falling away
2Thess.2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come,except there come a falling away first and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.
There was rumored that Jesus had already come and they were left which made them fearful that they had been left behind. So Paul was setting them straight on this error and easing their mind.
