Parleson wrote: Serving "another god" - is exactly what the free willers do, Mike. Those who are aware of the sovereignty of God and the Total Depravity of man know that free will is an excuse for heresy. The connection with free will is Franklin's human philosophy which means that he remains within the worldly power of Satan - And therefore under mammon. The NIV version of the verse I quoted says; "Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven." We all know that some rich people will be elect of God and their attitude (and theology) to wealth will be completely different to the free willer (eg Franklin) who will depend more upon human decisions and choices. Free will and works based religion together with mammon idolatry belong to the same reprobate philosophy source. |

Get Real wrote: most house churches i see online who advocate dropping 501c3 are sovereign citizen rebels, run by men like michael slattery (who's wife left him accusing him of molesting their children) scott johnson (quackery pushing colloidal silver, pushes terror, never preaches the pure word) or we could just try a youtube pastor ... bryan denlinger (youtube heratick) who loves to fight with heretick steven anderson ... lol so many wrong guys out there ... Amos 8:12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. Get Real, PTL for the gift of discernment He has blessed you with. There are a number of faithful gospel preachers on SermonAudio that I would recommend to you I will just post a few that have been helpful to us and who proclaim the glorious gospel and magnify our Saviour. ------------- Henry Mahan William Downing Chalan Hetherington Don Fortner Clay Curtis |

the Bible Way wrote: You are wrong of course CES. However I cannot respond since Mod Alpha will only delete my posts. God be with you. No I am not wrong. I respect your right to post your position, the ad hominem comments calling those who do not agree with your position "Arminian" is not neccessary and only neutralizes the conversation. Have a good day. |

Some "reformed" suffer from creedalism. They take their confessions and their creeds and make them to be of equal authority with the Scriptures. They will vehemently deny this...but some who post here on SA betray themselves. Can't seem to give a reason for their hope except from a quote from their confession. |

John UK wrote: There's no doubting it. Those who are bound to confessions and creeds always are speaking about their confessions and creeds, or the men that wrote them, or the men who promoted a particular theology, or the men who preached last Sunday - rather than about the Holy Trinity and the working of God. Very rarely do they speak about the Lord Jesus Christ, or their love for HIM, or their experience of HIM, or of their obedience to HIM, or their gratefulness for HIS grace, or what HE has been showing them week by week, or how HE has blessed them, and how wonderful it is that HE has borne away all their sins, or how HE has brought them to put their trust in HIM, and so on and so forth. No wonder so many in the church have forgotten who the LORD JESUS CHRIST is, he's hardly ever mentioned in personal terms. Thanks...what a refreshment to my weary soul..a pilgrim who speaks my language. |

I would caution the reader to beware of creeds, confessions, and catechisms. They have their place...but as man is lazy and will not search the scripture they are just as much in bondage as the romanists. They want someone to be the magisterium and tell them what to think. Those that wrote the WCF and to a lesser degree the 1689 Baptist C. would have us believe that their confessions were to state that which is written in the Bible and that which is ** logically and rationally deduced from the Bible** In other words..Gods Word must be supplemented by THEIR reason and logic to determine our faith and practice. Colossians 2:8. |
