Wow! Have you not heard or been taught to show respect for the dead or their loved ones? I'm amazed at the comments posted here regarding the state of Mr. Graham's soul. I'm reformed and while I don't agree with his theology, I do not have the gall or lack of charity to condemn the man's soul to hell as some of you have. Shame on you. I hope SA removes your comments.

I think there really is a Satan and demons, so it isn't hard for me to believe that he was under demonic influence. Let us pray for the Lord to deliver his soul from the evil one. Also, I agree with Libby regrading John Y. I often refrain from commenting on this website due to the unkind remarks often made toward John and Jim. The lack of civility does not give any glory to God and it probably makes those hungry for the Gospel go elsewhere for answers to their questions.

I've had a long love/hate relationship with Facebook and have found that the only way I can use it is to limit my time and interchanges with others while on it. At first I hated the invasion of privacy, then they tightened that up, so I was satisfied. Then they messed with my newsfeed and manipulated my feelings... So, I unfollowed people, pages and left groups. Now I find little prompts popping up asking me stupid questions. Right now I'm keeping my account open to contact family members and friends. I think as Christians we need to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves as we navigate social media and frankly, live in this world.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Wonderful sermon about American Church History, Asahel Nettleton and his mission to win souls while preserving the truth. This is an encouraging and informative message.

The Quiet Christian wrote:
Considering all that's happening with Facebook like this, pretty consistently, is there a better, safer social media platform? On the one hand, at some point, enough is enough. "Be ye separate" and " Come out from among them." On the other hand, simply abandoning the platform hands it over to the Enemy. "Ye wrestle not against flesh and blood...So having done all to stand."
Yes, it is called Social Cross. Here's the link: https://socialcross.org

Excellent "Christmas" sermon - much like those of Charles Spurgeon and Samuel Davies. I was greatly blessed by it.

Folks, I'm really uneasy about this article and the one by Amy Sullivan. I don't like the way they speak of Roy Moore and I didn't support his campaign for Senate. But they're both too inflammatory, IMO. People are deceived by their own desires for an easy Christian life that doesn't include holiness or self-sacrifice. FOX News doesn't help matters, but they aren't the cause, either.

I can honestly say I'm relieved this election is over and Roy Moore did not win. He tried to bulldoze through the allegations of sexual misconduct like Donald Trump did and it did not work for Moore. My former theonomist friends are blaming fellow believers who didn't jump on the Moore bandwagon, but it was Judge Moore who hurt and lost his campaign. If he would have done the responsible thing and stepped aside until the allegations could be disproved and allowed another candidate to come forth, a Republican probably would have won last night.

Thanks Dr. Tim. It's often said that we folks in Southern Illinois are a world away from Chicago and would like nothing better than to see it secede from our state.

Dear Country Boy, Since Roy Moore is running for a NATIONAL office, this is much bigger than Alabama and I have every right to express my opinion.

Okay... I actually skimmed the article and watched the video - did you? She annotated a note, but the signature is his. Breitbart is a sensational "news" site that I would not use for even a cookie recipe. Steve Bannon is not unbiased and if you think he is, I can probably find some worthless swampland in Alabama for you to buy.

Folks, Please use discernment and be wary of sensational stories. I've heard that this news source lacks credibility. I reposted one of their stories in the past and came to regret it. BTW - Jim Lincoln often comes across as one of the more sensible participants at the SermonAudio news page. I find his links useful.

The Judge Moore allegations are bringing many things to light; but let's not paint with too broad a brush when it comes to evangelicalism. Something I'm encountering, which is very disturbing, are pro-life friends who stand in front of abortuaries and who see firsthand older men bringing in teen girls to abort and who are giving Judge Moore the benefit of a doubt regarding the accusations he pursued teen girls as a 32 yr. old man. It looks like hypocrisy of the worse sort to me. Of course we want a pro-life senator, but at what cost? Pro-lifers, your Christian witness and credibility is on the line.

Very helpful! This message is much needed as Christians who come under attack need to know how to respond to their enemies. Thank you for preaching this message.

I agree with Frank and ask the reader to use discernment...I didn't share this article due to concern about the Anabaptists women mentioned in it. Perhaps I'm just ignorant, but I thought the reformation was more about specific men taking a stand for Scripture Alone over a period of time. Of course women were helpmates, but it's okay to recognize the men as leading the charge.

John Y., I am very happy to hear of your salvation. Praise the Lord for planting you in a local body of believers. I haven't suffered a flood, though I live near the Mississippi, Meramec and Kaskaskia Rivers. But I have suffered through a tornado and have empathy for those undergoing the loss of property and loved ones in Texas. My prayers are with you all. May the good Lord keep you and your loved ones safe.

I am not a Charismatic, nor have I followed, listened to or read any of Joel Osteen's sermons and books, but I am a believer in the 9th commandment. Here's another article regarding the Osteen's church's response to Hurricane Harvey: "Lakewood spokesperson Donald Iloff, who is also Osteen's father-in-law, said Monday that the church had never closed their doors and would continue to serve as a distribution center to help those in need.
"Iloff further elaborated: "We are prepared to shelter people once the cities and county shelters reach capacity. Lakewood will be a value to the community in the aftermath of this storm in helping our fellow citizens rebuild their lives." I'm no fan of Osteen's theology, but there is much false information circulating about the church he pastors and its response to Hurricane Harvey. Here's a link to a story with pictures of his response to the criticism: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2017/08/28/joel-osteen-lakewood-church-houston-hurricane-harvey/610947001/

I think social platforms can be good and beneficial as long as one doesn't substitute them for personal relationships or the organized church. As far as arguing - it takes two (or more.) I simply block or unfriend argumentative people as it reminds me of the Scripture to not cast pearls before swine.
