Nameless; for my part, God has shown me that not only is all this ‘gay’ rights stuff so completely out of my control, but the entire world is completely out of control (it appears to be, but God is at the helm), that for my part, the only prayer that I can up with is: “Come, my Lord Jesus Christ, come quickly now.” No amount of praying for the world is going to help, and every apostate church is worldly. This present world is destined for God’s “DELETE” button; better off putting our prayers and energies into preparing for that. These ungodly people have no idea what’s coming their way, or maybe they do, but they remain in unrepentant rebellion. |

Nameless; I ask you to please read, re-read, and read again the news article about which we are posting. How does it move the Holy Spirit in you? Pity? Disgust? Disappointment? Sadness? Depression? Anger that people could be so misled; deceived? Anger at such outright rebellion against God’s Word? All of the above? Do you try to see how God is working these things for His good? That’s all I’m asking you to do. Could these things be another (of Satan’s) diversions to lead people away from God’s Truth, or a way for God to get us to focus more on His Truth? Yes, most likely. Ask the right questions of God, and He will indeed give you the right answers. Ask and you shall receive. Asking questions of God is just as valid a form of prayer as any other. Ask Him! You seem to have implied that I have a different God than yours. I don’t think anyone here is questioning the need for prayer (prayer at any time, and without ceasing), whether personal or en-masse. I am, perhaps, questioning what is being prayed for, why, whether those prayers are valid in God’s eyes, whether they are being answered or not, and whether we are praying for those things that are, in fact, God’s will. We know that simply ‘to pray’ is God’s will; that is not in question. But what is it we are praying for? |

Many posts here, with Nameless leading the way, are implying that prayer for 'the lost' within the apostate churches is not going on, and that the state of the world 'proves' their position. Furthermore, they are saying that 'we others' appear to them to be against prayer. Wrong! I'm saying, no, please look deeper into God's purpose in what you see happening. Do not stop praying. But do not think that because your prayers do not 'appear' to be effective, that they are not. Furthermore, as John UK points out, if you believe that your prayers are not effectual, then take a look at what it is you are praying for: your prayers themselves may be amiss. Surely our prayers are to promote the will of God, not our wills. So would it not be wise to seek to know the will of God in these matters before you set out to pray? If you're prayers are not aligned with God's will, then obviously they'll be ineffectual. Seek to know God's will first, then pray. |

Nameless: Have you really considered what Unprofitable Servant is saying? Perhaps not. How do you know God's people have not been praying, without ceasing, or otherwise? I can assure you, they have. So, what does this tell you? It tells you that God has indeed heard their prayers, and that which we see happening is exactly as God would have it. So, look deeper to see what God's Purpose is behind this. Just look deeper, please. Remember, God does use evil (Satan) for His own purpose, as much as Satan might like to think otherwise. For example, have you considered that this is all part of God's sifting, the separation of the sheep from the goats? The division of the wheat and the tares becoming more and more distinct, more obvious? The battle lines being drawn? Being shown that which is to be fought over/for; that which you are prepared to stand up and fight for? Think about it. Go deeper, Nameless. Trust God; He has it all under His control. |
