The State of Alabama closed an abortion clinic in Birmingham last week. In the local talk radio chatter a Pharisee called in expressing his thanks to God for the closing and then added this " now maybe the whores can't continue their promiscuous lifestyles ." The talk show host rationally and calmly sliced him to pieces by pointing out that he was pushing away the very people that the Church should be seeking out with it's message of forgiveness and hope. This Pharisee embarrassed any Christian listening that morning.

Please read Bondage of the Will by Luther and The Sovereignty of God by AW Pink. Both are excellent in searching the scriptures and expounding the doctrines of soverein grace. These are required reading you will never regret investing time in.

His comments really aren't that " bizarre " if you are an evolutionist. Maybe shocking to realize the depth of your sin and where it is leading but he has a valid point.
Why not just make guns illegal to bring anywhere near a school? Severely punish anyone who does. We did it to stop the drugs in the schools and that worked just dandy. It boils down to this: the kids are UNPROTECTED , easy pickings for any nut with a knife, hammer, ball bat, gun etc. Force must be met by superior force. Lurker, Agreed. You and I can spot a hireling. Young Christians, weak or lazy Christians are not prepared for wolves yet. Godly elders would not allow a wolf thru the door and would speedily toss him out at slightest suspicion. This is their duty and charge. As you correctly stated in these type of churched the membership , including false elders, deacons, bishops etc. search out and get what they want. And that is strong delusion.

Our pastor read this passage this morning from Matthew 2:16-18... In part. " then Herod became furious and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under." The total depravity of man was inherited by every every human being on the planet. Our Father is Light and Life. Satan is darkness and death.
