Who knows, maybe the enemy will freak out and run when they see a male soldier in a mini skirt coming at them.

I'm surprised Dobson would even mention such a dubious conversion account. Or maybe I shouldn't be. This is more a story where the blind are leading the blind.

John, there are many professors but few followers. We live in troubling times with turmoil all around, reminds me a little of the 60's. But you're spot on, thanks for those words of Christ focus. It's so easy for this world to rob us of our Christian joy if we take our eyes off of Jesus.

And by the way, I don't have a television in order remove a distraction years ago, but now I find the Internet an even stronger distraction and even temptation.

I think Phil Johnson is on the right track. The biblical foundation of most Christian Americans is so badly fractured today there is little hope anymore to believe that the right vote will somehow lift this country out of its suicidal trajectory. Bork and Scalia would have said the same, not?

Well let's face it, as Christians we believe everyone is created in the image of God and thus deserves to be treated with love, respect and dignity.

If Christian votes are so critical for the future of America why is America in the mess she's in? It's not like Christians have never voted before. I think we're all missing something here.

Allie writes:
Sad, very sad. No doctor would recommend cigarettes, excessive alcohol, gluttony, drugs, etc., but these folks are encouraged to move full steam ahead with unhealthy behavior...

Very true. This sinful lifestyle is plagued with numerous known health risks but it's not politically correct to connect the dots. God in His own way is demonstrating His disapproval of it and exercising His judgment upon it.

God help him! He better reconsider that achievement, eternity is a long time to endure regrets.

Maybe that's why my BP is still with the normal range. I like Mozart's piano concertos, but my favorite is Mozart's last work - "Requiem", a sobering prayer. Too bad his life didn't match his gift.

How morally corrupt does a candidate need to be before Christians can't in good conscience vote for him?
I think we need to ask this question; or has moral relativism infected us all too?

Giving the pope the benefit of the doubt, is it possible that he's not in agreement with everything his church has done and decided? Perhaps he too wished things were different in his church. Marriage is a sacred bond and what God has joined cannot be legitimately "dissolved" by man, not even a pope, a priest, a pastor or a lawyer.
The mess our culture is in today is partly due to it's casual attitude toward marriage. Statistically most church denominations are guilty in this department and it is something few care to acknowledge.

We pray for revival, for a return to the Bible, but that would mean forsaking adulterous marriages. Sadly there is only a very slim chance of that ever happening.

Why should God honor our requests when we don't honor our vows we made to Him and our spouses?

This is painful, but revival in O. T. Israel only came after a complete repentance, including giving up their "strange" wives.

The Church in so many ways has merely become a mirror of the world. Situation Ethics is prevalent and the Bible reinterpreted. A "thus says the Lord" must now be understood in it's proper context and cultural context. The Church is so immersed in this world that it has a hard time discerning God's thoughts from Pop Culture's. What we Christians today believe to be right and acceptable would all too often simply shock our ancient brothers and sisters.

One thing that really baffles me is why we're very tolerant of women who dress similar to men but we don't give men that same freedom.

Actually when you stop and think about it, the patrol car and what it represents and the cross of our Saviour and and what It represents they are diametrically opposed!
