Sexual sin might be the most agressive tactic in attacking God used by His haters. I do wonder if they weren't purposefully trying to attack Him how prevellent the whole issue would be? I do believe it is more used as a weapon of hate and rebellion than for any other reason that non believers participate in the act
I wrestled with this and still am. Christianity is a persecuted religion by God's ordination "you will be hated for my name sake" and "you will be dragged before magistrates for a witness" (extreme paraphrase of Matt 24). I do feel the imparative is that our witness of the power of God is throught grace given to us by Him is the power and confidence in His word lived out but more importantly in how freely we can die for the truth if we truly believe in what He promised and have faith in what we cannot see (what happens when we die) I have to admit I stumbled when she said "we stop worshipping God we stop being america" because that is not the supreme issue, as a christian who cares about america? But I also am appreciative that she took a stand and maybe in the stress of it might have not thoroughly thought that through. I will say that she has more guts than most so called pastors and I hope they will feel shame and repent. The church will do well to stand for the reason they exist in the first place
S.A. Again what is the purpose of no disciplinary action? It is very clear John Y is purposely coming on this forum to provoke and instigate by perpetuating untruths and lies again and now another thread will be highjacked with rediculous banter about the romish church which is not edifying. I also am going to state this; by disciplinary not being taken we are showing no concern as to whether John Y will repent unto salvation.

Good comments but there is more to it. Truthfully a theological foundation will direct doctrine and the problem doesn't start with money but AGREEING with what God has revealed about Himself and about us which blurs the lines regarding what God declares as Holy and unclean. And scripture makes these things very clear so are the "heavy weights" disagreeing with God? Piper, Chan, and others have come out in defense of Bickle. What about Driscol and his actions? It really does start here. Calvin, Knox, Bunyon, Luther were so convinced of the truth and drew lines and never waivered so what is the difference? And where does this place myself? Where am I standing? Peter tells us to act and work to expedite the coming of the Lord and that is through gospel proclamation, Matt 24 this gospel will be preached to all the nations then the end will come
Well stated. Our anger should not be against those who are dead in their trespasses, but instead compassion. But I believe we should take direct action against ministries like this that pervert and distort the truth and lead people into eternal wrath. Apostacy is hated by God. Why does this Stearn believe he can justifiably distort and claim the bible doesn't mean what it says and it's commands are open for debate?

Jesus says "if you love Me you will keep My commands" this is speaking if a consequence, it is a comnand but the command is not to a dead, unloving heart to orient itself to do something it does not do. One that loves Jesus is all ready keeping the commands summed up "live the Lord your God with all.......and you nieghbor" In light of this and the activities of this man; I can see why there is concern for this man's salvation

I like Ray Comforts approach in asking for observable evidence. The other view uses a continuation and consistant modality in order to determine billions of years. By their own herminutic we should be able to observe mass having no origin and just appearing today

This is a public forum BUT do to the nature of the content of this site I do not agree that anyone should be able to come on just to troll and provoke. Christianity should be of high standard and accountability, that is what the charactet of Christ demands. If someone (get real seems to) claims to be a christian and acts in a twisted provoking and displays no other intentions, they need to be confronted and disapplined. I hate to say this but it is part of the reason I don't come here too much anymore
I read some post and mostly agree but take note when you read either Maher's or Crowe's comments. They both acknowledge that God exists or have some question in the back of their mind that He does. This substantiates Paul's argument in Romans 1, they DISTORT the truth about God. This should turn our efforts regarding how to deal with them especially evangelistically. The conclusion that they have to face is this; they disagree with God regarding what He has revealed about Himself and about us. Their condemnation is just based on this fact and when someone opposes a Soveriegn they ultimately are attacking the position of the Soveriegn and attempting to place themselves as such. It is treason in the smallest sense and it is easy to gwt them to see this and at least agree with this thereby giving them reason to pause and consider their position
