I believe I am a Chrsitian and have to admit that I get myself wrapped up in everyday life, work, etc. I know I should be in the Word much more often than I am in it. As a result, I live a life of doubts and fears, anxiety, wondering if I truly am saved, etc. I need the prayers of God's true people to "get me going" in the Word, etc. Any suggestions out there re: self discipline, personal time with the Lord, prayer, etc. ????? I'll be waiting!!!!Donnie |

Many of us are "angered" at what the pope has said these past days. And, rightly so. However, I feel compelled to write what has happened and is happening in many protestant churches who know better and have known better in the past. We may be very thankful that God used Martin Luther to break with this false church. Many RC's don't know any better. I'm baffled at the ignorance of many RC's re: the Bible, God's own word for the human race which He meant for us to read personally. They have not been as priveleged as many protestants who had the Bible to read themselves, not in Latin, a language many don't understand, but in their own language. Let's pray that God will also have mercy on many Protestant churches who are falling away. Many Prot. churches have become nothing but entertainment centers, especially some of the mega churches. False teaching, more emphasis on signs and wonders, the scriptual, beautiful Psalms and hymns that have neen sung for hundreds of years, now, only in the last 10-15 yrs., being replaced by Christian rock, contemporary, etc. etc. music. Imagine, in some Prot.churches you can go to a traditional service, contemporay service, emergent type service, etc. We Protestants are no better if we are not following the Bible in its original intent. |

Michael,Thanks for the encouraging comment. You hit the nail right on the head. When I speak to "church people", you'd be surprised to hear " we're not under the law, but under grace". I say to them, AMEN! However many do not understand that Christ came to fulfill the law, but did not abolish the 10 commandments. Each one of those commandments are meant to be observed until Christ returns. When wehear that the 10 commandments should not be displayed in a public building, for ex, you shudder because these commandments are a gift from God to guide us and not to hurt us. How blind are people, Michael, without God! They have eyes, but don't see!!!!!!!!!! |

Rocker,I don't know if you are for real, in other words, trying to reach the lost in a way they can relate to, namely, rock music, rather than the "traditional church music". First of all, God has to reach them and not the rock music style music of the world. Having studied music and being a music teacher, musician, etc., I know where music came from and where it is going. The Bible says, " be separate and come out from among them". The true church of Christ has to be an example of Godly worship, but the sad example of the world's music should not be. I've been on both sides. If you want my private e-mail address, let me know, and we can e-mail further. I'm only in New Jersey, next state over! |
