John: fragments: Yes I admit I wasn't all that clear, and yes it could go on and on. My experience is simply witnessing how women dress in nearly all the institutional assemblies that call themselves a church. So, what happens to her in the world or the next? Answers to both are interesting. I'm curious about the severity of eternal torment for an honest denier of Christ, like the modest Muslim woman, compared to the professing (yet unsaved) immodest Christian woman. Who would suffer more? Or maybe the torment is the same for all Christ deniers? Not real sure on this. |

Thanks for the replies.Ok, dressing like a whore sounds extreme. Let's change this to something like a Polo shirt and a long skirt (slightly tight), typical Fundamental Baptist attire (from what I've noticed at least). The rest is usually the same - perfume, make-up, some sort of styled hairdo. What about this woman? |

Yippie yay! Some attention I was just gettin' ready to take off but let me throw this one out for now. I agree that memory testing is a major element in these assemblies. "Those with good memories receive the best positions and highest earnings in society. Therefore theirs is the best lifestyle." In this regard, the system is designed for winners and losers, with the majority being losers. Could the system work if everybody won? Is this Christian? Is our capitalistic structure whereby everyone is simply trying to beat somebody else Christian? Anyway, though conforming in some way to the social order (not the kingdom of God) is a major intention of school assemblies, what education is remains foggy. |

DJC49, could ya help a Christian out please?I'm wondering about the slaughter of masses of people by the U.S. Military and how high the number is, roughly of course. I'm also curious if the U.S. Military is fighting in the name of Christ or some generic "God?" -------------------------------- Lyn writes: "Banned, if you would turn off Texe and turn on your television, you would see what is actually going on in the world." Well, I'm not concerned with Texe being turned off, it's the rest of the sad statement that is just that - sad. "Once personal judgment and critical faculties have disappeared or have atrophied, they will not simply reappear when propaganda is suppressed…years of intellectual and spiritual education would be needed to restore such facilities." Jacques Ellul I'm finding this more true every day. |

If schools are viewed as religious assemblies, then the matter can be seen more clearly. Secondly, what exactly is an "education?" What is its purpose? How do children learn anything anyway? Do they all learn the same way? And one more for now: Why do parents, even the Christian ones, usually concern themselves with other people's children? |

Recent quotes from Lyn:"Satan is alive and well on these boards!" Now other than possibly Tony and DJC49, who is Satan working through on these boards? "Banned, I urge you to remember this, if you do not forgive others, if you harbor hate, it will cost you all of eternity." Did you just condemn Banned to hell? "You completely overlook the slaughter of masses of people by the Muslims, all in the name of 'Allah'" Again, not defending Muslims here, just wondering about the slaughter of masses of people by the U.S. Military, all in the name of...? Is the U.S. Military fighting in the name of Christ or some generic "God?" |

lyn wrote: AAC; you can form any opinion you want concerning my posts. I don't hate the Jews, nor do I think they are going to take over the world. If that makes me an 'enemy' of yours, that's shameful. Um, what does this have to do with anything? I have not written of hating Jews or of them taking over the world. This is another example of your confused mind. I've made myself clear clearly already! Must I keep repeating the same things over and over? Don't get all upset and boo hoo because you attack the beliefs of others (conspiracy garbage, theories, etc.) and then can't handle when your own beliefs are challenged. Yes, you confess Christ with your mouth, but your mouth also indicates that you have not renounced Caesar, because from what I gather from your posts, you are merely portraying the "We have no king but Caesar" attitude. So, if you're still into Caesarism/Constantinianism/Statism, then how is Jesus Christ your King? Prove otherwise and then I'll retract my statement. |
