How is "Love thy neighbor as thyself" the Good News? That is a commandment for those who already believe the Good news and are saved.
You are joining those who corrupt the simplicity of the Gospel in order to sound "deep" and "philosophical" (Colossians 2:8).
"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." 2 Corinthians 11:3

Hi Mike
A child born of U.S. citizens is a
U. S. citizen by birth, no matter where they are born, ie, military couple in Spain.
If a illegal immigrant has a child on U.S. soil, that child has birthright citizenship in the U.S.

Bless you!!
Can i make some observations about what its not.
Its not a scripture verse.
Its not a special prayer.
Its not really written down-although both new and old testiments combined will help a person suss it out.
Its so complex that i find it difficult to explain the reality of it in words-and yet its so simple I cant believe i have spent a lifetime trying to work out exactly what it is...when i had it the first moment i set eyes on Jesus.
If i said the word LOVE, it is the nearest single word that defines it-What im really trying to say is-i dont think you can go out and preach the gospel. If you are in this Kingdom, you will be the gospel. Its not something that you can do or say (like a bible verse). Jesus spent his entire ministry trying to explain the gospel, and still so many people mess it up. I think the false gospel preachers were those who talked the talk but never really knew Christ at all, and certainly were not in a relationship with him.
Yes-i think the gospel is a mystery.
Hi Lisa
Pretty cool
You know latly the women have been speaking the Words of God on this site.
Lyn, Coora, you to name a few.
And the men have been arguing the doctrine of men.
Won't mention any names or this will be deleted

Best question I've ever seen posed here on SA. If a thousand people answered there would be nearly as many different answers.

Has the mystery of God been finished (Rev 10:7); the last trump sounded (1 Cor 15:52, Rev 10:7); death been swallowed up in victory (1 Cor 15:54, Is 25:8); the covering cherub been destroyed....
If not then the gospel remains a mystery to all but the remnant whom the Lord shall call in mercy (Joel 3:32) and that is the reason we see so many different gospels preached in the churches.
Have a blessed Lord's Day.

Hi LURKER
You say
If a thousand people answered there would be nearly as many different answers.
Do you think thats true?
There is but one, The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

You Say
Has the mystery of God been finished
A recap of Revelation 22
I see the end result there, but I would like to know, how, how is that the Gospel to those that are lost?

Tell me if you would, what is the Gospel, in your words.
Or is it as you say,
then the gospel remains a mystery to all but the remnant whom the Lord shall call in mercy, and thus the reason we see so many different gospels preached in the churches

Have a blessed Lord's Day
Brings up another question
What is the Day Of The Lord to you

Ephesians 2
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not sure who wrote this this comment

For His glory and namesake, I'm sure that God cares if His *elect* will be saved. You might not care, which is to say that you don't care for God's chosen and adopted children. Why's that?

I'm sure that God cares
Can one say such things and attach it to mans theology, while at the same time use Personal attacks or insults directed at other users

You might not care, which is to say that you don't care for God's chosen
Of all the other Gospels

Although this would be concidered a rebuke to whom this comment was written
Except the rebuke was not for teaching false doctrine, preaching another Gospel, it was full of pride, man centered, defending mans teachings
The Bible is very clear what Jesus will say
Matthew 7
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:

Matthew 25
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels

Not of works, or logic

Like minded believers, believers being the key word. In the case of Hebrews 10, verse 19 refers to "brethren." V22,23 begin with "Let us.." V24 begins with "And let us.." Followed by the “not forsaking..” v25. Not speaking of tares, but of True believers.
Do you meet my standards? No, why should you? My standards are nothing. You have higher Standards to look to than to those of men.
Home churches? Yes, a good thing. My opinion. Hopefully there would be someone there that was somewhat mature in the faith. In any case, if you are there in Jesus' name to honor Him, He will be there in the midst of you. (Matt 18:20) If we can't believe that, it's back to milk.
PS True believers are the Church. Church is not a place.
Cool
Thanks Mike

When men lust after the same sex, this is called homosexuality. The RCC is allowing homosexuals into their churches in droves, it isn't a result of celibacy. If that were the case, why aren't they pursuing women? After all that is the natural way {Romans 1:27}. This is frightening because of the end result...'God gave them over to a debased mind'-Romans 1:28, God has turned them loose, has let them run, full ahead, after their own perverted lust. The meaning of the word 'debased' is frightening, it means to make lower in value, not passing the test. God has tested the minds of those who commit such perversion and found them to be unfit [from the greek adokimos-strong's G96]. These men of perversion are not men of God, they are not born again. Their actions prove such, they are wolves parading as sheep, and sadly, destroying the lives of innocent young boys. They follow a false teaching, and again, their 'fruit' is evidence that the heart is unregenerate. These priests aren't heavenbound, 1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Do not be deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor HOMOSEXUALS, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God."
His yoke is easy, not christianity

Well actually it is impossible for anyone holding to Roman Catholic False Belief to be a saint.
A saint in the true Biblical sense of the word as God Himself uses it of believers in the New Testament is a person who is changed by God and for God in the new birth in the Holy Ghost.
Something our Roman Catholic 'friends' are don't believe is even necessary for them. But something Jesus knows we desperately need as He Himself told us.
"Ye must be born again!"

What the true believer must be able to do is *SEE* and *BELIEVE* in Christ Jesus.
Jn 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is *THE WORK* of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
36 But I said unto you, That ye also have *SEEN ME*, - "AND" - believe *NOT*.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which *SEETH THE SON*, - "AND" - believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
64 But there are some of you that believe *NOT*. For Jesus knew *FROM THE BEGINNING* who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

Greetings in Jesus' name Terry,
I think that if a person can find a Biblical Church, then they should attend. Yet if they cannot and persons who practice unrepentant sexual immorality are permitted to take The Lord's supper and other gross immoral sins, then perhaps it would be better to worship at home than to join Christ to an harlot.
There are ministers who reject creation and embrace evolution, condone divorce on un-biblical grounds, condone sodomy, condone all manner of sexual immorality, or teach that Christ is just one way to God, there are even those who deny the virgin birth.
1 Corinthians 15:33 (NASB) Do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good morals."
1 Corinthians 15:33 (KJV) Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1 Corinthians 15:33 (Young's Literal Translation) Be not led astray; evil communications corrupt good manners;
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by The Word of God, yet if there be no Word of God in a "Church"? Should we be opening ourselves up to that corruption? We shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free, yet many Churches don't preach truth and are in bondage and are slaves to sin.
God bless!
Jessica

Hebrews 10:25[/QUOTE]terry
Forsake also means abandon
I agree, also for this verse, thanks.
But I don't see gathering as a church
What I see, the writer talks about
Jewish worship, mostly with the sacrifice and offering, and to avoid this stuff
Hebrews 10
5Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me
11And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins
14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified

Here, he starts talking about Christ
19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus
20By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh
24And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works

Consider one another, Help one another
A lot of fear back then, most likly would die as a beliver, and again in end times.

25Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching

Don't abandon the assembling
could be only 2 or 3
could be a church, not sure
